guide march happening an friday and saturday and the pride marches in all the seeshthsdz of san francisco particularly the castro area arrest the efforts before, during, and after the largest pride parade in the country we're very products of everyone coming together working on all the delays of these events but also work in collaboration to increase the amount of communications with all the agencies and remind because of the orlando massacre we want to have a safe r safe event events for everyone in the city and so the emphasis this morning in getting reports from all the different agencies that are working together was to emphasis our collaboration and communication with each other that appears we'll have even more people that will come to

in city hall with the police department and the ordinances of your lgbt bars and night clubs throughout the city to make sure the venues freaked out right now given what happened in ordinary go a have all the support they need to keep our venues safe people could go out and enjoy themselves i feel good going into this is weekend thank you to everyone in the community from the city staff and mayor for working together to make it happen i want to bring up someone i as you can imagine what he had to deal with in his job over the last walk through that is the director of our pride committee george has done a tremendous job calming the waters of pride and boy does i have his work cut out for him so

>> good morning. i'm deputy chief in the san francisco police department i'd like to reassure the police department has been planning for pride week and the pride events over the last probable 6 months working with all the city and state and federal partners i believe we have a good plan it insure a safe and enjoyable weekend one of the biggest things we see since ornld we've increased preservation around the treatment venues within the castro and throughout san francisco we say a plan in place also to support all the parties going on throughout the city in the next week and obviously through the weekend that is very busy for us one of the things as you can see a high visible presence of police officers the officers will be engaged in aware of the surrounding with the large
