leadership and the leadership in the economy and moving with the people in the room today, we created oewd the office of economic workforce development citibuild program to train and connect resident to the incredible job opportunities that are happening in construction in 2006, we trained more than $1,000 individuals for those jobs and placed individuals in more 15 hundred jobs in a arrange of trades from cement and partners we're proud of that and bare larry has been a leader to make sure we connect the residents to those opportunity this is a unique partnership if you heard the speakers say and unique project sponsor that takes citibuild to the next level public and private on the cutting-edge of where this is going i want to take a moment to thank a number of people in the room

school district we counted about 18 hundred kids that are part of families challenged with living here the expense and the lack of housing we're doing everything we can he to build affordable housing we have to be working with the groups helping people stay where they are and have stable lives and places to be this is all for our kids their education so we're working with the school district we're working with hampton services and the giants and airbnb who put all it together and you know what, you'll have more runs coming in san francisco another the at&t park we're noungsz a new program i love it larry it is the giants score more and more runs and every run they score we'll have money for more families to make sure they survive and do better

here in san francisco this is called the heading home campaign and remarkable that is remarkable how the giants and and/or before got together with family hampton tom ton and came up with a solution may not be the total solution but part of a $30 million program that we're launching with san francisco to end homelessness homeless families right here in san francisco this is a wonderful day of opening day with all of our partners doing the right thing to make sure our city is more successful to every run that is scored at the another person will be another thousand dollars up to $3,300,000 i think we'll get more people you do 4 hundred runs we'll get more people to cover to we have partners that wanted more runs for the giant do not we counted

last year, we have about three hundred and 41 home runs like pension fund and probation officer i didn't and panic and every madison square garden got a few home runs it will be hundreds of thousands of dollars for hamilton to make sure we have more homes for the homeless families we have a big heart i know the biggest heart is with our giants with our home run kings and hampton and uber working together to make the city even greater i'm here not just on opening day but to introduce someone i admired got a chances to work with him we enjoy the home runs after the giants scored i'm ready to make sure that the giants win that whole game and, of course, our

homeless at the end of the school goes to a place other than a home to sleep at night that is something we have to solve and fix we have a wonderful as the mayor said a $30 million goal a wonderful fee funding $10 million that we're well on the way and with our help and support we will get there and end family homelessness in this city over the next several months and years i want to introduce our partner as i wanted has been unbelievable in their leadership and hamilton family jeff who is the mayor's office came from the leading nonprofit in the country dealing with homelessness i want to welcome him in the hamilton family. >> thanks everyone i'm really

honored to be here representing that hamilton families i want to thank the mayor of san francisco the san francisco giants and uber a few years ago we embarked on a campaign that is now called the heading home with the vision of ending family homelessness in san francisco it was a very bold decision by jeff the director at hamilton and calling out to the city to unit with them and raise $30 million and bring us back to a rent-controlled place we can say that every child has a place to call home at night it is our tag line is san francisco strong it is wonderful to see that have he very strong community we're uniting with the unified school district and salesforce and twitter many individuals and now

life for my daughter i i haven't had became homeless and ended up in hamilton and was assigned case management they got me directed to the mayor's office of housing where i was able to secure a below-market rate unit and salesforce granted me a subsidy which was important allowed me to not have my daughter suffer not be able to do the things and get the things she needed they were able to deliver the services with a human touch everything from school backpacks and presents and all that i really am grateful today, i'm in the same apartment have a permanent job and things are looking up my daughter will be in high school invocation and it is my dream to live in san
