>> give it up one more time for the coventry carolers. they're amazing. and if you would like to visit them at the dickens fair, you can catch them every weekend starting december 17. make sure to check them out. all right. we just keep getting fuller and fuller. i love it. it's not quite tree lighting time, but we have something to hold you over until then. look at all the gorgeous trees coming to the stage. under the direction of pam drake, the tap dancing christmas trees have danced in every holiday parade imaginable. they appeared for the fifth time in the macy's parade in the opening number with some muppets. this year they added palm springs festival of lights to their long list of kick lines. so give it up for the glorious,

[cheers and applause] absolutely amazing. oh, my gosh, there are so many more people here now hi. welcome to san francisco's tree lighting ceremony. i'm so thrilled to be with you all in this amazing city. look at city hall behind you. isn't it gorgeous? look at me in front of you, aren't i gorgeous? [cheers and applause] well, we're all very lucky to be here in san francisco. san francisco is an amazing place. and i want to do a few thank yous, because without public works, this wouldn't be happening. public works helps to make this happen. planning and hunter's point family makes them happen. the office of economic and work force development, namely amy cohen, who helped to design the public-private partnership that now throws amazing events. and marianne thompson for her enthusiastic support. and we want to give special recognition to the civic center event organizer and folks that help to keep this area safe, fun and clean 365 days a year. give it up for those amazing people and organizations. i have the pleasure of introducing our next performer.

he is one of my favorite singers in all of san francisco if not the world. he's appeared on "x factor," yes, and he starred in "love is not enough," which played globally. and you can find him doing cabaret shows right here in san francisco and he's performed at the boxcar theater. he's won best male cabaret singer here 1 san francisco with the bay area reporter awards three years in a row. i only won it once. so that's a big deal, three years in a row. please welcome to the stage, jason brock. i hope whatever holiday you celebrate is very happy. someone recently asked me, it's christmas, merry christmas. no. maybe where you live it's only christmas. in san francisco, we embrace a lot of different kinds of people and not everyone is celebrating christmas, but happy holidays to everybody. so i'm going to sing some songs for you. if you like what you hear, please come see me at the oasis. we're doing a holiday show with all kinds of holiday songs in it and we'll have grammy-award-nominated people joining us. so without further adieu, i'm going to sing some songs.
