vulnerable in the city. our immigrant communities, the lgbtq communities, and our victims of sexual violence. i want to remind the board of the incredible work that she did this year of leading the unanimous vote of the sharp ordinance, which will protect -- i hear that, and i just want to say thank you, and that this ordinance will protect women and others that are at risk and thank you. [please stand by]
4:01 am
not only did she believe me, but we shared our passion with the board of supervisors about the lack of accountability within these departments. as a result, sharp was created. i believe that real change comes from folks who not only work hard, but who are vulnerable, empathetic, show compassion and see humanity. hillary is always out on the streets and she shows up for people. she doesn't stay, like, comfortable in her cushy office. she is out on the street with her daughter, like, marching and shows up in her district when something is going on and meets with families.
4:02 am
so, i feel that a people's revolution and connecting with the people that represent is really important and i felt that. when i went to the city departments for help and they didn't treat me like a person. so, that is why i'm here to speak in support of hillary. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> good afternoon. my name is taylor hernandez. i'm a city college of san francisco student. i'm a freshman, actually. and i'm here for support on ms. hillary ronan because i currently work for mission education projects inc.. we're located in 24th and mission and i've been working there seance freshman in high school and she's continually supported our mission of educating students and making sure they're not on the streets doing what they're supposed to do and i just want to put my word in support of her. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. >> good afternoon. my name is asia hernandez.
4:03 am
i'm currently a first year at u.c. berkeley and also in favor of hillary ronan. she is also -- she's also been a strong supporter of mission education projects incorporated and i think it is very important to speak on behalf of the community she shows and her support because coming as a minority to a prestigious school, it is hard to come to that place when you are surrounded by all these difficulties and having a place like mission education projects incorporated, it makes it possible for kids who don't have those same opportunities as others and she, as a supporter, has shown that she's strong with her community and that's why we continue to support her. thank you very much. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> good afternoon, and congratulations, new supervisors. my name is gabriel medina. i'm the co--pac chair for san francisco latino democratic cluck and latino democratic caucus and i'm here to speak in
4:04 am
support of supervisor hillary ronan for board president. as many know, hillary's been a long-time champion for the latino community since before she even worked for the board of supervisors. and currently, as you know, there is no latino on the board of supervisors and hillary was elected largely from the latino community's support and we heard and you are going to continue to hear today support from our community about wanting to make sure that our issues are at the forefront. the forefront of displacement. the forefront of the crisis with president number 45. so, if you really want to value our issues and make sure our voices are heard, even though we're not necessarily present, we want to make sure that we have a strong alliship here on the board of supervisors. that is why i would encourage you to please support hillary ronan for board president today. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> hi. my name is jack rice and i'm here as a district nine resident who works at the
4:05 am
coalition on homelessness in district six. congratulations to all the new board members. i work at a nonprofit that organizations within and advocates for the city's poor and homeless and involved in a city and statewide fight for housing justice. the so-called two aspirational, speaks to her tireless work, passion and emotional engagement, those at tributes that put her front and center at every rally, at every town hall, advocating for our most vulnerable communities, listening, collaborating, up lifting, getting things done, where so me lektsed officials in san francisco don't dare to fred and don't dare to speak. today electing a board president should be an easy decision for all of you in this room. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> good afternoon. my name is rosanna rojas. hillary has been collaborate rating with us for many years
4:06 am
before she was a supervisor. she attends every one of the crisis emergencis that we attempt to respond to when she goes and meets each of the families when they're going through the worst moments and the meeting is not just oh, hi, it's a supervisor, but it's a true meeting of the people and really understanding what the families are going through and providing what they need and giving us the community workers. the support and the resources necessary to be able to respond to the crisis. besides the fact that she has the track record that she has, we have an opportunity to elect a progressive woman as the president of the supervisors board. right now the congress just appointed a number of strong, progressive women. we are in a progressive city. it only means that we are the ones that elect the progressive board of supervisors president. so i hope that you do the right thing and that you elect her president.
4:07 am
thank you. >> thank you for your comment. next speaker, please. >> good afternoon, supervisors. my name is mena parks. i've come here today in support of hillary ronan for board president. in my experience working on progressive issues here in san francisco, like police accountability, resources for after school programming, affordable housing and the most recently cannabis and social equity. supervisor ronan and her office have been engaged, courageous, passionate and effective in being a representive for the voice of the people. and as many people who have already expressed, supervisor ronan doesn't wait for you to walk into her office to express concerns. she comes out to the community and asks us what we think and inquires about how the issues affect us and that is the time of leadership that we need. we need active -- an active leadership that has a relationship with a diversity of our city. as well as being courageous
4:08 am
enough to attack the issues that threaten the humanity and creativity of our city. so i ask that you guys vote for hillary ronan. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> hello, everyone. i'm the executive director of brava theater center and brava for women in the arts and a resident of bayview for the last 20 years and i fully support hillary ronan for board president. i've known hillary for the past eight years and she is an arts supervisor. she believes that arts is part of the solutions to our city's challenges. she understands what the arts landscape and cultural landscape means to the citizens. and especially in the mission and the challenges we face in the mission district. she is thoughtful. she is kind. she is passionate. she is present. and she will make an outstanding president. she is fair.
4:09 am
you may not agree with her method or her process, but she is very fair and she cares so much about all the residents of san francisco. and that we build a fair and socially just community. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> hi, is it good morning? sorry. i don't know what time of day it is. and i -- my name is guynor and i'm born and raised in the mission. native of san francisco. you know -- people that know me i like to say that a lot because we're rare. right? whatever. i'm here in support of hillary ronan for president of the board. there's not so much i can say about her that 50 million people came up before me to say except i definitely validate everyone's feelings and compassion because that is what
4:10 am
she shared with us in our community. the biggest things for me being a community activist and advocate is, you know, seeing true folks that we vote for don't forget what they're representing or where they come from. at tend of the day, what i appreciate of hillary is that i can call her to a meeting in the hood and she actually come to the 'hood which a lot of people don't because rats run around and roaches but she doesn't care. about none of that. cares about us as people. she kairs about what affects us, what impacts us and then she fights with all of her might to assure that things will be better. and that is why i support her. she's always supported me. we worked together for, oh, my gosh, forever. so -- and congratulations to everyone that was sworn in today. i'm looking to ward to a great
4:11 am
year. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> good afternoon. jane martin from usww. congratulations to everyone who was sworn in. i'm very excited about this board and i know this has been a difficult process. but for the low-income people of color that we represent, there is a lot at stake right now in san francisco and what's most important for our members and our union is that we have professionive majorities on the budget and the land use and the rules committee and i hope that comes out of this process. we're standing with the rest of labor in supporting hillary ronan because she has been a champion for our members and all low-income workers of color for a long time. we hope that you support her today. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> buenos dias. 4:16 am
a community organizer. i'm here today to show my support for hillary ronan as president for board of supervisors. i believe that hillary ronan is the best person for this role. she has been atentive and responsive to the need of san francis cans and has the experience to lead. given her experience at city hall and in the community. she has taken action in addressing the homelessness and having crisis by supporting and being an advocate for strong protections. opening and advocating for navigation centers, supporting the building of affordable housing in her district, which is frankly something we need across the city of san francisco. and i believe that we must -- you all must elect and vote for hillary ronan. if we hope to do something radically different and pave the way towards a more just and equitable san francisco. i urge you today to please vote for hillary ronan for president of the board of supervisors. thank you.
4:17 am
>> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> my name is mari, i'm a district nine resident and i first wanted to send you all a congratulations to all the people who just got sworn in today. big ups. each one of you on some level with my very limited time, i workd on your campaigns whether it was doing social media, dropping lit or whatever. i'm proud that all of you are now board of supervisors. next i want to say a person i'm really proud of who got elected this year is alexandria cortez. if you know anything about me, i follow her i.g. about everything. i send her messages daily to instagram stories that she posts. she is an amazing, amazing, refreshing person. she reminds me why i first started coming here to city hall. i've been shaken up here in city hall for 20 years and started as a youth commissioner. coming here and i just realized today, dang it has been 20 years.
4:18 am
i'm not even 40! [laughter] with alexandria cortez being brand-new and everything like that, we had a major vote and naturally the speaker of the house. right? now i just wanted to throw it out the you all for you to think about this. if alexandria cortez said they wanted to be the speaker of the house on their very first day, what would be your response? i'm going to tell you right now. i'm not the biggest nancy pelosi fan. i don't follow her i.g. and i don't follow her twitter -- [laughter] and i didn't agree with her war in iraq vote, either. but who has more experience? so i want to say today you all have different votes, how you're going to vote. but i want you to really look at who has experience. there is lots of different people. norman has huge child care champion stuff. sammy does great work shaking it up. but there is only one and i'll tell you who i would vote for, i'll vote for hillary ronan and the reason is because she was the only no vote on not sharing
4:19 am
[inaudible] town heritage day that stephanie you did not include the native american voice within italian heritage day and she stuck to her guns and that's what you need to be board president. someone who sticks to their guns to stand up in this community. >> thank you. thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> hello, everybody. my name is dia sellby and i'm a public official myself and a woman. i am with board of trustees at city college. i'm five for five. i supported five absolutely fabulous candidates for supervisor and all five were elected and i'm thrilled about that. i'm really excited about the direction that this board is going to go. i just have a few things to say. and one of them is to ask you to look at how hillary has brought people out from all walks of life and to think about how, with your support, she can do that for the board. when she needs to.
4:20 am
one of my concerns with government in general is transparency. and surely hillary going out to the public to openly and honestly state her interest in being at the head of the stable a good thing, not a bad thing. finally, there are three, as you all know, districts that require a lot of resources, and i'm taking this directly from when hillary came out to talk to us at manny's. there's district six. there's district nine. and there's district 10. and i want you to think about how important it is that we have a president of the board of supervisors who can understand the importance of giving the resources to the city. it affects all of us. i'm in district five. it affects all of us in every district. we have to take care of the issues in six and 10 and nine. finally i want to talk about being president. i'm looking at a former president of the board of
4:21 am
trustees. i, too, was president of the board of trustees at city college and i want to tell you that being president changes you. you do not behave the same way. you cannot behave the same way you do as an individual, whatever it might be. trustee, supervisor, whatever. so, if you think that hillary ronan is not going to be able to come and coalesce you all -- >> thank you for your comments. thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> i'm blaine bookie and i'm a resident of the district eight and work here at the u.c. hastings center for gender and refugee studies and i'm here to support hillary ronan for board president. i know that she will look out for my family as well as the immigrant families that i work for tirelessly every day and i think we've seen the bold -- what ah bold and what hillary brings us with authentic leadership. we've seen that across the country and i would be a
4:22 am
serious shame to miss having that here in ours own city of san francisco. i urge you to vote for hillary ronan for board president. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> good afternoon, board. i'm curtis bradford and i'm the chair of the tender loin people's congress, coalition of 14 resident organizations, representing hundreds of tender loin residents. first of all, i'd like to say congratulationss to all the folks who were sworn in today. it's really awesome to see you. but matt, it is really greet see you sitting behind the desk seated at the board. that is fantastic. i'm really excited. i'm here today to talk about hillary ronan. she is the right choice. i think she is the right choice for the right time. folks have turned out from all over the city, all the districts are represented in this group that you are hearing from today and they all came to tell you one thing. this is what the city's choice, the people's choice for president of the board of supervisors is being made abundantly clear to you today.
4:23 am
nobody reached out to me from hillary's office. i haven't talked to anybody from the campaign. nobody advocated for me to speak on her behalf. i'm here because this is what we wanted as residents. we talked about what we thought would be the best choice and this was our choice and that is why i'm here today to speak on behalf of her. and lastly, i just want to say hals that i have to take this opportunity as a tender loin resident to advocate for my neighborhood. all the challenges that are currently facing san francisco as a hole, they're manifest 10 times in the tender loin and if you are going to treat the problem and solve any of san francisco's problems, if you are going to make a healthy san francisco, you have to start in the tender loin, the heart of the city. and until you address the issues in our neighborhood, you're just wasting your time treating the symptoms without looking at the wound. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, plea. [applause] >> good afternoon. my ?aim larissa with united to save the mission and i am here
4:24 am
to talk about hillary ronan's exceptional leadership. as a resident and business owner in the mission, i have watched supervisor ronan work with our community, other supervisors, the mayor and other communitis to create and move legislation forward that will make living in the city better for all residents. but especially those that are most vulnerable and often ignored. time and again, i have watched supervisor ronan in the community making great efforts to make sure that the voices of the vulnerable were heard, even though the voices of power and privilege were louder and trying to dominate the discourse. and i have seen her strong negotiation skills put to work to bring eke quity to our city, getting $10 million from the state to create navigation center, passing legislation to protect our cultural districts and fight gentrification and passing throwsing assist

survivors of sexual harassment and assault. this is exactly the skillsthaet we need today and our city needs hillary ronan as board president. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> good afternoon. my name is carlos and i work as a housing immigration attorney for mission neighborhood centers and for various collaboratives among them. u.s.m. and 3sf. answer -- and i've come to talk in support of hillary ronan because right now we find ourselves in a tenuous time in our nation's history. now more than ever disenfranchised and marginalized communities from all across s.f. and this country are being oppressed and there is a move to continue to oppress them even further. what we need right now is someone with a strong track record of leadership, of vision. somebody who's willing to step out for these community, provide them the equity they need and these processes and raise and up lift their voices. in the years that i've been
4:26 am
working here in the mission district, hill -- hillary ronan has always been just that. so i think more now than ever it is the most important and critical time to stand together, to be united and to have a leader who's been proven to have that vision, to have the ganas necessary to do what is wrong and stand for these communities so i highly suggest that you all vote for hillary ronan for board president. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> my name is [inaudible] and i'm from chinatown. first of all i have to say that i admire hillary as a person. but i'm not here to speak for hillary as board president. a lot of people who couldn't get here today is because they're working. ok? and i think a lot of those

people would support norman yee and i want to tell you something about norman yee. i've known him for more than 50 years. maybe 60. i used to think he was a really straight guy. a really kind of square guy, you know. an eagle scout. dudley dooright. the guy that would break up fights when a basketball game got a little too heated. now knowing the history of this board, i think you really need to think about the kind of person who isn't necessarily a policy leader. because every one of the members of the board can be policy leaders. you need somebody who can bring about consensuss so that this board can continue to function. and that is why i'm supporting norman yee. thank you.

>> i am here to speak in support of hillary running for president of the board of supervisors. as a young and aspiring leader, hillary ronen is an example of what bold leadership is. it is important to me to come here and speak on behalf of someone i considered has set a new standard for future d9 supervisors. i believe what makes her different from the rest is that her ability to connect with the people of her district. the ability to convey her passion and love for this community and this city. she has given this community a voice against displacement and gentrification, and relentless courage to drive the work despite the opposition. this is a time for bold and ambitious, pushy leadership. this is a time to be unafraid to , and this is a time for women like me and next future leaders

values cannot continue to support the status quo. we have to be representing those most marginalized, and i urge this board to foster and bring forth leadership that embodies emotion, that embodies boldness, conviction, and above all, justice and love. this is a hillary. i think we have seen her in our neighborhoods across sectors work her tenacity to bring people across differences. i have been at the table when i don't agree with hillary at times, and we talk things through. that is what we need. to have somebody in leadership who can bring folks together to address those dire needs that we have two face in the next several years. hillary is my girl. i hope you will join us. i know a lot of folks are here, but i want to thank everyone, and thank hillary for the relentless leadership you have provided to, not only to our experience as a surviving

organization that has been displaced, but we will continue to try and come back from exile into district nine. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> good afternoon. i want to congratulate the new supervisors, and the reelected supervisors for this office. i am here to make some support statements as a 50 year resident of san francisco, and is a an individual to support supervisor norman yee to be your next president. i have known norman for over 12 years with his board -- role on the board of education in terms of dealing with child care issues, and now being on this board, he is going into his seventh year of being on this board. i have worked with him on not only children and youth issues, the senior issues and adults with disabilities. he specifically looks at the issues, and ways the situation. from subject to subject, they may differ so he is not
4:36 am
necessarily all in one camp all the time. he is very fair and very levelheaded. he will be able to assign all of you to your public -- particular committees based on the expertise to make sure the city is running in an appropriate way i hope you will support supervisor yee for your next president. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> hello. my name is gladys. i'm representing one of the oldest nonprofit organizations in the mission. >> can you please speak very close to the microphone? >> i'm here with my colleagues. we are in support of hillary. i believe she has some things to say. >> can you finish your comments first and then we will go to each speaker. >> sure. like i said to, i represent one of the longest nonprofit organizations in san francisco.

running for presidency, i have seen her work close up. i know how good she will be in this role. our district in the mission, as you know, is ground zero for many of the issues facing the larger safety. homelessness, gentrification, police brutality, the assault on hard-working immigrant families. i have seen supervisor ronen wade into some of these issues. where to locate a navigation centre? how to create and maintain a sanctuary for immigrants? how to keep the plaza safe and clean, how to keep our families from being displaced. in each case, she argues her position persuasively and clearly, while at the same time listening carefully to the other voices and moving the conversation forward. she is not too passionate or too ambitious for the job. i cannot believe we are still having conversations like this. right now our city is under attack by the current white

house. not only are they not working for us, they are working against us. they are coming after us. given this, is it possible for anyone, male or female, to be too passionate clot maybe you saw a tweet this morning in which he quoted dr king. the question is not whether we will be extremists, but what kind of extremists we will be. will we be extremists for hate or love? supervisor ronen is in an extremists of love and i strongly recommend her for board president. thank you. >> to the members of the public gallery, please hold your comments until after the president president has been elected. >> hello. i am a proud member of the san francisco latino democratic club , and i also and the print producing host of an independent radio program, and we cater to

the latino community. that is why i know that hillary is the champion for the latino community. she is a weekly guest of hours. all you supervisors are invited. all you have to do is call me. but the reason i know that hillary is so vital to our communities because of the feedback that we get. district nine, even though it has been highly gentrified, it is still the latino community, and will always be the latino community. hillary represents the values. she speaks the language and people in the mission rely on her and love her. she is a champion for domestic workers which are highly made up of latinos. she fights hard to maintain the century city because yes, we are under attack, and we will continue to be under attack and we need someone like hillary in san francisco to defend not only the latino community, but all the immigrant community. she rolled up her sleeves, and she went to work and went to
4:42 am
clean up the 16th street plaza she tackled needles, trash, excrement, and she did it with a smile. she instituted a sharp program, office of sexual harassment for women when women don't have a place to go because nobody listens to them. they just sat them on the shoulder and told them to go home. now she has done that for all women. she worked closely with horace mann middle school for the kids who don't have a place to sleep. now they have a place to sleep at night. all these kids who became homeless through no fault of their own. thank you for that. i will always be grateful for that. she is a strong champion for criminal justice reform. she not only talks the talk, but she walks the walk. please, hillary ronen for president of the board of supervisors. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> [speaking spanish]

i look forward to working with each of you and i am excited by your elections. i appeal to you to work together on your first decision to elect a board president with a track record on the board for supporting people and addressing issues in our vital and wealthy city. i welcome the nominations, and the strengths of advent -- advocacy. quietly or with fight as long as it is done with dedication and passion. while i promote to women, i also value support for key issues. supervisor yee has been central to advocacy for early care and education, both expanding services and addressing the two low wages -- the too low wages of the workforce. as women's lifetime earnings are affected, and access to childcare, this is a core issue for women. i support supervisor yee's long-term dedication to this

because. i urge you to consider a candidate with long-term history on the board, and commitment to equity issues. you have a difficult choice before you. both of these candidates are qualified, but i urge you to choose between the two of them. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please. >> good afternoon. my name is maria, and i am a childcare advocate, and i have been an advocate for 23 years. during all this time, i have never been to a board meeting where i will ask to support a certain candidates. we have a lot of candidates. hillary, you are in my great deals you are great but today i will go for norman. i will tell you why. i have known him for 20 years when i was a childcare planning advisory committee. he was also the executive director of the children services. he was a school board member, a
4:47 am
school board president, and norman so far is, you know -- in my experience, our strongest ally, and because of that, i strongly urge you to support norman. i also did my research, and know that his record proves itself. he worked in pedestrian safety, he worked in the participatory budget. he supported initiatives and children and families and corporate accountability, senior support services, and improving a lot of things. norman has proven what he can do , and i think this time we need someone who can unite to the board when the country is divided, we need someone who can unite us, and whoever wins today , whoever you think is the best person, please do so, and we love you all. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker, please.

>> hello. i am a san francisco voter. i am born and raised in san francisco, and i am also a former san francisco youth commissioner. being an advocate is a marathon, it is not a sprint. norman he has a long track after record of 20 years in san francisco. he supports our entire city. he advocates for children, families, and seniors. he holds corporations accountable, he stands up for pedestrians, and i am someone who has lived in the city for 42 years and i've never had a car. i take this very seriously for someone who stands up for us every day. there have been a lot of children who have been hit by crossing the street, as well as adults. some have even died. lastly, he's also about making sure all the san francisco residents participate in budget processes. it is important to me. i think sometimes when we are not in public office, were impacted by what decisions get made in here so it is important to have an official who bring the community into being part of the decision-making. that is why i recommend norman

yee. thank you so much. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker. >> good afternoon. i i'm a long-time mission resident. i went to elementary, middle school, and high school in san francisco. i have been a longtime advocate for 20 years for young people and higher risk people in the city. people who the city has many times forgotten about, or did not provide good enough services you see the inequity and the racism in this city for some of the conditions of the young people to live in. all the years of my life you're, i have learned a few things. the foundation that every friendship or relationship is built on a foundation of integrity, honesty, and action. i vote for hillary. i hope you vote for hillary, because she has shown nothing but integrity and hard work. when you look at the dedication and her track record within the community, she has stood on the side of people who needed the most help.
4:50 am
that is what we need to. we need someone who has values and integrity and honesty. my support, my vote for my community is all behind one help -- hillary 100%. i hope you made the best decision for san francisco and all its residents. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker. >> good afternoon, honorable supervisors and elected family. i'm the executive director of homey. this is a really rambunctious, allowed, mission crowd outside. i don't know if you know that. and to the overflow room, there is quite a lot of people listening in. the mission community has come out for our sister in arms. she has come out with protests to community meetings, to countless, countless activities
4:51 am
for our community, has supported many, many issues that are important to our community, time , and time, in time, and time again. today we are out here urging your support, urging the newly elected family to support our sister in arms, hillary ronen, and i ask you in my deepest of hearts to do this for us. our communities in crisis, as you know, and father richards said it. we are at the epicenter of many different issues, homelessness, housing, and the person we can always rely on, every time, is hillary ronen. and so i ask you, from the bottom of my heart, and from the rambunctious crowd that is outside that support her, support hillary ronen. thank you. >> thank you for your comments.

next speaker. >> hello. i will keep this short because you have not had a shortage of speakers, and you have plenty of things to do. i work with various nonprofits, but i'm speaking today as someone who is a native san franciscan, who has lived here for 30 years, congratulations to the new supervisors. this is a monument is time for san francisco. the big elephant in the room is that we have a progressive board i know some of you may have made up your minds, but this time will not come up again. you may not have another chance to have a truly progressive board of supervisor president. you need someone who will not just run meetings and make sure that everybody agrees, you need someone who will have the vocal voice. this is an amazing platform. not to run meetings, but for the city of san francisco. your president is a true progressive who has an equal footing for the mayor. that is hillary ronen. whether you like her, whether you agree with everything she says, she is a voice that will
4:53 am
push the progressive agenda. i see the progress of supervisors there right now. you still have time. we haven't voted yet. you really have to think who is going to be a voice that will be on the news, that will be in the newspaper that is really going to make change happen? they will not run meetings or create agendas, but what do you really need in san francisco now caught the time may not come again. this is a time. i really hope that you take a moment before you vote and really think to your next board president would be. i personally hope that is hillary. thank you. >> supervisors, my name is richard lau. i am supporting norman yee to be your president of the board. it is a very cold winter and the rain is coming. we have lots of homeless people in this city. i am sure that supervisor yee
4:54 am
will provide a safety net for our homeless so that they have a place to rest and spend their time and before he becomes running for school board and supervisors, he worked as a peace crew or the head start in chinatown. when you went into their organization, just one head start school. he spent 15 years when he left. that is his record of public service. after that, building up all these schools, he went for the board of education. the students benefit from him
4:55 am
and his policies, and then we heard so much that the formation , when they were babies starting with two years old, and then the city should be spending more money for the head start and norman yee will hitch the way. he cannot do this all by himself he needs the whole supervisors who support him as the president president of board of supervisors. thank you. >> thank you for your comments. next speaker. >> i will interpret for mr james lim.
