forms to fill out. they are located at the front table. or you can come to the microphone when i call for public comment. we ask that you turn off your cell phone and including commissioners and staff and we want to thank sfgov tv for sharing this media with the public. before i do the roll call, i want to open this meeting in honor of mike leon who is the co-owner of the eagle who passed away tragically on may 17th. six years mike and his business partner reopened eagle in soma. it is the eagle become a major destination for lgbt communities in san francisco and around the
12:01 pm
world. mike's legacy will live on through his work in the work to open eagle plaza located on 11th street. today was actually the official groundbreaking for the plaza. we offer our condolences to mike's family. now we'll start with the roll call. [roll call] >> president bleiman: first order of business is general public comment. this is for public comment for any agenda item that is not on the agenda. any public comment? seeing none, public comment is
12:02 pm
closed. the next agenda item is number two. approval of our minutings for june 4, 2019. do we have motion to approve the minutes? >> i move to approve. >> president bleiman: any public comment? seeing none, public comment is closed. take a vote. [roll call] >> president bleiman: minutes. approved. next item is report from the executive director. >> good evening commissionerrings. i have updates this evening. if you turn to the director's report tab, i have a couple of items that will go along with the report. i want to update within our
12:03 pm
legislative and people update that on thursday june 13th, last week, supervisor haney hosted a press conference at mezzanine. it was the save mezzanine press conference. president bleiman was emcee, said some words as well as the producer of dirty bird. it was a great press conference. it brought together people from the community to discuss the legislative announcements that supervisor haney made to save and protect mezzanine and other venues in soma from displacement. right behind the article you'll see is resolution file number
12:04 pm
190689. i received after publishing this agenda. otherwise i would have included that. if you go to page 2, you'll see in more detail what this announcement was making. this is essentially interim control, changing the planning code to allow for nighttime entertainment use and protecting the use from changing to anything else. it was about the conditional use authorization from the planning commission would be required for any changes of use from the nighttime entertainment use. that is pretty huge. it actually extends beyond just the location of mezzanine to other areas in soma to protect other venues that maybe at risk for displacement. this is going to go to land use next and we're hopeful it will appear next week, potentially it would have to be extended into july due to the budget season
12:05 pm
right now. then it would go before the full board hopefully some time in july. if it passes, it could be extended beyond the 18 months that it currently has. i will keep you apprised of that. if requested, you would bring this before the full commission here for you to make a decision to support this legislation. if you feel strongly about it. otherwise, i will keep you in the loop. moving on, i do not have an update at this time about our streamlining legislation they've been working on. unfortunately, it was moved off of calendar yesterday when it was supposed to be at land use. supposed to go to land use next monday. hopefully we'll have another update around that soon.
12:06 pm
i'll be happy to email you something. moving right along. i wanted to jump into staff and office updates. we just released our annual report. we haven't done a big splash about it yet because we wanted you to see it first. deputy director kaitlyn azevedo has been managing this project. deputy director, take it away and let you know more about the report. >> i'm sure you found it in your binder. this is our annual report for fiscal year 16-17 and 17-18. it's highlight of our accomplishments and the work we've done and changes in our
12:07 pm
personnel for staff and commissioners that occurred over those two years. i will be hitting the ground running to get our current annual report for fiscal year 18-19 going and i want to thank commissioner perez for all your work hard. thank you so much. i'm happy to answer any questions if you have any. >> if no questions, you can ask end of this full report. i'll move along. another staff and office update, it's kind of an odd label for this. the majority of the women that are in our office as well as on our commission, attended mayor breed's be invincible women's summit this past friday. i wanted to bring that up to the commission because it was really inspiring experience for all of us. i think it sparked some drive to push our initiatives around
12:08 pm
entertainment forward. we heard from some really amazing speakers including valerie jarrett who was senior policy person for president obama as well as speaker pelosi and we heard from the mayor and it was a full day. it was really great. i actually had to a few women from the industry who were in attendance as well. it was a great day. looking forward to next year. finally, i do have a minor update for you on our hiring process for our senior inspector. i was hoping to announce their name this evening. they are on vacation and unable to give their notice to their employer until thursday. i want to give them the opportunity to do that before i have the big reveal. we have sent and confirmed employment of this person.
12:09 pm
they are going to begin on july 8th. when they begin i will send a nice announcement and you will meet them on july 16th. that's all i have for this evening. you have any questions? >> with regards to the resolution, if it passes will it retroactively cover the mezzanine or is it just moving forward? >> it wouldn't be retroactive necessarily. they have a lease until beginning of october. we're hoping this is adopted prior. >> my second question, the new staff for the senior inspector? >> this is filling sean's vacancy. we have kind of reworked the
12:10 pm
role to do couple of things as well. >> new resolution, will it pass in time? will it still help the mezzanine? is it too late for mezzanine? >> i don't know if that's -- we're hopeful that it will pass. i have no idea what's going to happen with full board. in terms of timing, i would be hopeful that there will be decision made prior to october. that's far away at this point. it's been introduced. it has to go through the legislative process. >> they have until october? >> october is their current lease. yes. the landlords went back on their
12:11 pm
promise to extend that lease for the three months until the end of this year. that's where we're at. that could potentially change. i'm not sure. >> i wanted to acknowledge the great work done on the annual report to our deputy director and commissioner perez. i haven't gone through it thoroughly. i do have to do a plug to an ex-sfpd employee who i saw quoted who is rose meyer. rose got a plug. i want to acknowledge that. it really looks very well done. i'm looking forward readie read- reading through it. very professional. >> president bleiman: any public comment on the executive director's report? public comment closed. the next agenda item is number 4. report from deputy directo direr
12:12 pm
azevedo. >> i have items highlighted in yellow. starting on page 1. we have seen this place come up couple of times for complaints. i wanted to let you know that these business owner is eager to come in to compliance. i sat down with them for a limited live performance permit, which is all they are zoned for. they have been receiving complaints. it's been when they are closed. i want to put that on the record that we have been following up with them via our inspector going out to the field. when we receive complaints and the bids is closed for the evening. maybe the complaints aren't all valid. just keep that on your radar.
12:13 pm
on page 2, the bottom here is orange. don't mind the color. this is about arena at best. which has been on our radar for quite some time as well. just letting you know we did issue a verbal and we did issue a notice of violation for arena since their last hearing. the inspector has been responding to sound complaints. when he took a sound reading, they came in at 112d.b.c. which is over their sound limit. they were issued notice of violation. on this thursday the 14th complaint when he went and he could hear the sound coming from outside the venue. when he went in the sound
12:14 pm
dropped. it did just have a conversation with the operating manager today who i was unaware was an operating manager. he called me. we're ironing out wrinkles here. i have been in contact with business owners and new operating manager who maintains they want to be in compliance and we hope to see that. on page 3, those are orange for no reason. let keep going. page 4 here, raven. director weiland received an an receive from supervisor and knee regarding patrons flooding the bike lanes on folsom street. i'm not sure what bars were the
12:15 pm
this first note from the seventh inspector farantino speaking with the security and the manager about the problem. he went back this past weekend and they had four to five staff outside trying to handle the folks leaving. he said that the only solution was to create a barrier because folks were just going into the bike lane looking for uberers and they are intoxicated. director weiland is made aware of this. we're looking at a bigger picture for it.
12:16 pm
on page 5, i briefed you on arena s.f. this is just a note, valencia room is the old elbow room they're operating under a temporary permit. their sound limit is 80. we received a sound complaint. inspector farantino he took a sound reading and they were operating above that. they were issued a verbal warning. i've been trying to get on the phone with the owner and have been unsuccessful. the rock, we received a police report from the rock from saturday the 8th. there was a fight that occurred outside of the premises. we received. -- we sat down with the venue
12:17 pm
managers last week. we discussed the incident. we heard their side of the story. director weiland determined that they were in accordance with their security plan and they do the best they could to prevent the altercation. it sounded like it was a thought out attack on a certain patron done by another patron. we will keep an eye on that and continue to monitor their security. we go to page 9 -- i'm happy to
12:18 pm
answer any questions that you have about the report. >> how many times have we seen arena show up in our report? >> often. am i reading your mind? >> i'm really curious at this point. feel like they just -- they have a new operator. it feels like they're in every report. feels like it's double digits. >> i would agree they have been on every report. the complaint is the same
12:19 pm
person. the anonymous complaints we get i can't track. but the complaints are the same person. inspector farantino works with that person individually. the complaints has reduced. it seems to be the same complaints. we're still responding to that and they make the report. >> you're talking to an operations manager. this is the first time that this person is engaging in these complaints? >> as of today, i was made aware there's an operation manager overseeing their entertainment. their sound and their compliance with their entertainment permit. i was made aware of that 3:00 today. the other operating manager still in the picture, i guess managing different part of the business. that's only contact information
12:20 pm
i had. >> at this point, you're working with both of them? lot of the issues that we've been receiving complaints around have been anything from like line management, the crowds outside, sound issues. i feel like we're kind of hearing everything. i get it. it's a new venue. i'm hoping that because you have a new person you're working with, that they'll kind of get around this. we don't have to see arena highlighted multiple times in these reports. >> i think the feedback that i received from inspector farantino and permit officer emmanuel from sfpd mission station, their outside line control is women -- well managed. there's lot of people all the time. in general they are following security plan and they are doing good job monitoring their lines
12:21 pm
as well as their inside security is also well managed. it's the sound complaints. i did have an in-depth conversation with the new operation manager about their sound limit and monitoring that and what compliance means. >> my other question regarding the valencia room, what is the programming coming out of there? are they using the second story of the space for live music? >> i'm under the impression that they are using the second story. i really need it talk to the owner. i would love to able to answer that more. i haven't been able to get a call back. >> thank you. >> i did have a question. i'm curious about the rock. it seem like the incident -- we kind of determined that the
12:22 pm
incident wasn't -- there was discrepancies between the information we're getting about the incident and in the end it was difficult it tell what happened. it seem like rock managed it. >> the main key factor was in regards to the perpetrator and their location. the police report we received alluded to inferred, the security knew where that person was. when they came in and explained their side of the story, they described that the person was hiding. yes, the information seems to not be the same consistent. having them coming in and tell us in person gave their side of the story more fair. >> vice president caminong: were there discrepancy what they were saying and our own inspector were saying in some cases?
12:23 pm
>> that's sort of the separate issue. because the inspector went out the following weekend to see if they're in compliance of their >> vice president caminong: okay >> we're going to continue to monitor them. they know that we have eyes on them. i don't want them back in my office. >> president bleiman: thank you very much. is there any public comment on this report? seeing none, public comment is closed. our next agenda item is number 5. which is report from our senior analyst, dylan rice. >> good evening commissioners. tonight i'm going to be continuing conversation about how is our commission improving efficiency in customer experience for event permitting
12:24 pm
and producers. i want to give an update to transition to screen door and transition to the new sf.gov website. we've received feedback from different producers saying they like the efficiency and clarity of the new tool. we're all becoming more fluent and using it more now. this is a new digital end to end process for entire permitting approval process. next up we are currently refining the drafts of permits for the onetime indoor events and sound track permits.
12:25 pm
we are doing a soft launch and user testing by end of this month, if not by the early part of july. we're working closely with digital services agency on that as well as i'll be reaching out to user testing candidates tomorrow. in terms of transitioning to the new sf.gov. these services are a lot more searchable on google now and they are more linked to the central services of sf.gov.
12:26 pm
the text is shorter. you can see the language has been simple fye fy -- simplifieo a fifth grade reading level. in the interim, we're will be cross-linking with these new pages with our current pages. it's not completely everything all at once. we're developing service pages for the indoor event permit and the sound track permit. updates on that. in terms of making the industry martyr for -- smarter for events. our panel for network. that is going to be from 5:30 to
12:27 pm
8:00. we have a collaborator who's helping us with the program design and the moderation. his name is michael blue. his company is called event hub. the topic will be success through vendor management. which i know i can tease it. i operationally it is so crucial. i really want to empower producers with the tools that they can make sure their vendors are compliant and efficient and making sure they are driving revenue. there's lot of room for growth in this area. we're going to have a mini-panel and we're going to be inviting couple of producers that are working on complex food and beverage to be part of it. i personally very excited. i'm invited that they will open up their doors o. a night they're not normally open, just for us. if you guys can come and bring
12:28 pm
anybody you want, even if they're interested in production, i encourage that. they will provide the d.j. at the end of the presentation so we can stick around and have fun. i did a walk through friday and i had a great time and getting to know more about jolean's business model and their place in the lgbtq community here. that is all i have. >> president bleiman: thank you very much. is there any public comment on senior analyst dylan rice's report. public comment is close. next item is 6. police department comments and questions. we'll move on to the next one. the next agenda item is number 7 hearing and possible action regarding applications for permits under the jurisdiction of the entertainment commission. we'll begin with consent agenda
12:29 pm
which will be act the on by the single roll call vote. please deputy director, you can introduce the consent calendar. >> thank you president bleiman. the agenda item is for ancestry use permit at the hahrah club. i'm happy to answer any questions you may have about this permit. >> i move to approve. >> second. >> president bleiman: we do public comment. any public comment on consent agenda? public comment is closed.
12:30 pm
[roll call] >> president bleiman: permit has been granted. congratulations if you're here. please follow up with deputy director at your earliest convenience. thank you. moving on. now we're on to regular agenda. if you can please introduce the items. >> first permit application is dimples. we need that to happen in order for them to come. they're not current operating the business. we will need a motion to approve for them to move their hearing date. >> motion continue.
12:31 pm
anybody have one? >> so moved. >> president bleiman: any public comment? public comment closed. [roll call] >> president bleiman: that item has been continued. >> next permit application is for place entertainment permit major amendment for san francisco museum of modern art located 151 third street. sfmoma held permit since 1998. they're applying for major amendment to provide current permit condition this limiter their hours of entertainment. under the application, it provides flexibility to their operation. they applied to have entertainment everyday of the wake until 2:00 a.m. indoors and everyday of the week until 10:0. sfmoma receives support from two neighboring hotels, southern
12:32 pm
station approved this permit with the conditions listed below. here to tell you more is director of operations facilities and security noah bartlett. >> good evening. president bleiman and commissioners, director weiland. thank you for having me. director azevedo stole my punch line here. sfmoma we provides amendment to update record to reflect changes to the museum's physical layout. the expansion added new interior space and spaces which are outlined in the application. sfmoma event program is part of sfmoma charitable mission with
12:33 pm
the purpose of building robust connections with the community, member appreciation, visitor engagement and civic activities. type of programming frequents of activities, use of outdoor place will not change with the exception of additional hours. the museum will continue to comply with the code and stipulations that result regulating agencies. we're engaged in the neighborhood. we'll continue to work closely with neighbors to mitigate impacts caused by our activities. i believe in your documents you will find letters of support that were just outlined. we also regulate interface and coordinate with all other neighboring businesses including american giants, chandler flaming the cold golf club and anybod--gold club.
12:34 pm
i'm happy to share details about our program. i will answer any questions you might have. >> is there a new patio now, new please? are you having permanent speakers or it's only when you have groups and you bring in your own speakers? >> we will only have it when it's specific events. there's no permanent sound application and outside spaces. we added a third floor garden which is on the property and elevated on the third floor. we also added a tenth floor staff location which is outside. like a rooftop location. occasionally we have staff appreciation events, retirement. we might have sound out interest on occasions. >> does it overlook this please? >> it does. >> when you set up the speakers
12:35 pm
are you planning to point it in that direction or in this direction? >> we'll point it at the museum. i know gm. we're in pretty close conversation with them >> do you usually tell them when you have an event like that just in case people want to sleep? >> we communicate well in advance. >> okay, cool. >> good evening, and welcome. blooglad you're here. i don't see the type of liquor license a you have. do you happen to know the number? do you know what you're allowable? >> the museum itself doesn't hold a liquor license. there's a liquor -- >> the cafe does? >> yes. >> that's not yours reques? you guys use catering authorizations? >> everything is catering. most of the cater is done by them.
12:36 pm
>> thank you. >> part of the sfpd condition two, it says the permit holder will monitor the sound during hours of operation. how do you plan to do that? >> any way you recommend, we have done in the past is we've downloaded the decibel app. we don't have decibel meters. >> if you plan to do this multiple times you should have good quality decibel meters. >> you may have said this, i apologize if you said this already, have you had events there and if so, how have they gone? on the outside. >> you would have to come to our next event. i think they've gone fairly well. we had our annual fundraising
12:37 pm
event which is one of our exterior spaces called howard promnon. it went really well. we communicated in advance with all the neighbors and the neighbors were invited. positive feedback all around. it's been going extraordinarily well from my perspective. there's always minor issues for us. after hours, we try to work closely with the neighbors and our d.j. and other performances. >> commissioner tan: sound like you're complaint free? >> yes, unless you know something i don't. >> commissioner tan: we as a commissioner want to support more and more outdoor events and rooftopping. the more we can make sure that people are happy with their neighbors. i think that helps everyone all
12:38 pm
around. >> howarit's been nice. it's been good. >> commissioner tan: thank you. >> do i have a question in terms of your nighttime programming. are you planning any type of expansion? >> no. there's only one event per year that we host that goes until 1:00 a.m. that's our annual gala. other than that we limit our events until 10:00 p.m. we don't imagine any expansion of activity beyond what we're currently doing. >> that's too bad >> i wish we could. >> i think it could be really nice if we can see sfmoma turn out. >> you're right. that would be pretty amazing. i'm the operations guy. i have to put com put constrain.
12:39 pm
we are hope saturday nights until 8:00 p.m. >> there's two issues that i hold near and dear. one is our outdoor game is really week in san francisco and it shouldn't be. the other is that there aren't not enough opportunitys for local musicians to get hired. i'm excited to expand the area that you have. it's not a but, i really hope that you will consider regular opportunities for local musicians. even ones on the radar. the cost of living in the city is so difficult and the musicians offer so much to people who are there. it's a natural fit and it's something i encourage. i think everyone should be more of this. you have the space for it.
12:40 pm
>> president bleiman: thank you very much. >> thank you to deputy director azevedo and krystal for helping us through the event process. >> president bleiman: any public comment. seeing none, public comment is closed. any discussion? >> i move to approve the permit with the conditions. >> second. >> i think the staff recommendation was d approval of the policy and the following conditions, 1 through 8. >> conditions 1 through 8 with the good neighborhood policy. >> second. [roll call]
12:41 pm
>> president bleiman: your major change has been granted. please follow up with the deputy director. congratulations. >> our final permit application for is for place of entertainment major amendment permit for 111 minna gallery, 111 mi111 minna is applying forn permit. their operations will not change. we received eight letters of oppositions for their application. based on emails of opposition neighbors were unclear about what they were changing. deputy director azevedo sent an email explaining that 111 minna not changing their operation.
12:42 pm
111 minna were made aware of the opposition. they sent letter to concerned neighbors. their letter invited any residents to contact the owner directly. you can find that documentation within the file. there was no response from the h.o.a. manager back to the applicant. here it tell you is owner michelle delaney and alex kivelstadt. >> hello i'm michelle delaney and this is our new partner, alex kivelstadt. we put up a poster saying we were applying for the addendum with alex coming on and we were made aware we got eight letters of opposition, which i was hurt
12:43 pm
by. i was really sad that i felt our neighbors didn't completely understand us or who we are. looking forward to reach out to them and get to know them. >> it sounds like it's change of ownership? so not any change of hours or conditions or anything like that? >> no, everything is the same. >> president bleiman: thank you. actually, one other question. this is actually more of a comment than a question. ifs there a permit to approve for t.j. music. i have not seen -- >> are you looking at the old permit?
12:44 pm
that is the presiden p.d. permi. >> president bleiman: these are p.d. conditions. copy that. >> the memo the staff recommendation includes the new p.d. condition. >> they should make clear what conditions from the previous version they want to get rid of. >> that's why i was asking are you just changing ownership with existing conditions or are you actually asking for kind of a modernized version of the entertainment? >> that's a good question. i want to make sure that i'm supporting things that's important to me. >> i don't think we have first amendment encroachment. >> we couldn't uphold that at this point.
12:45 pm
>> it sounds like, just to be clear, you're here because you want to change names but also -- our typical place of entertainment permit allows you assessmendeal seven-- seven dayl 4:00 a.m. amplified sound and which we'll set as commission, our good neighbor policy. i hope you have familiarity with on top of whatever police conditions are there. it's a standard thing. >> yes. >> just looking at the old permit, i would highly recommend if you're going to amend some of these old conditions that you strike everything up until the final three security conditions that we may want to read aloud so michelle is aware. >> yoi like that.
12:46 pm
>> all the other ones are codified. so they will be upheld or they are redundant or they are held up. >> just for clarity, this wasn't the police department permit >> you're correct. >> i apologize, i was thinking of sfmoma. >> we take our schott shots ande accept them. >> it was very young commission. >> i don't have any more questions. >> i known 2 for a lon -- i knou for a long time. real gallery/coffee hangout in
12:47 pm
downtown is probably the best model. we don't want it to go. i'm fully support what you do. it's interesting that when these renewals come up when the neighbors -- you were kind of sad that people weren't -- there's lot of new people that come in. i think for the new owner to see actual process, it's kind of a wake up, i think you better tell your guards to be more self-conscious. i applaud you for your operations and good luck to your new partner. i guess keep and eye on the outside, trash and noise. >> i find it really good opportunity and good reminder. community reach out is important to us. i think that's good. it's a good thing.
12:48 pm
>> thanks for coming in. we're eliminating permit for d.j. and music? >> i was just recommending that you consider removing all of those previous conditions listed including that d.j. condition because either we can't enforce it, it's already codified or by nature, entertainment is permitted between 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m., seven days a week. the 21 and over, that would be restricted based on the permit. it doesn't make sense to be entertainment condition. listing code section -- this is just like the oldest department known to me. i think we should
12:49 pm
allow security conditions in case michelle wants to argue to remove any of them. >> are you planning on doing live entertainment? >> i would like to. >> when the neighbors who personallpersonal -- potentialln the, they were told you were coming to change ownership. now we're changing if d.j. to live music. we need to give the neighbors an opportunity to chime in. we're changing the nature of performance of this venue. >> i think the issue that's unenforceable and violates the first amendment. >> has there been live music going? >> 25 years. >> i remember doing this originally for the police department. i think it had live music from the get go. i kind of wanted to approach it
12:50 pm
slightly different than our executive director suggesting. what i was going to propose if there's interest, is a motion to approve it and go with the police department's last three conditions. that's it. the first five are covered by statue. what i'm proposing is that the permit holder be responsible for the management outside promoter special event. there shall be a manager or lead, bartender on site during the hours of operation, lastly that southern station and commission are notified of events. i would be comfortable with those three conditions. >> along with the good neighbor policy. >> either way. yes. >> just for the record. the question what i heard from
12:51 pm
the commissioner perez, are you intending on changing your programming here from it's been for the last 10 or 15 years? >> no, it's still the same. >> it's really important that we let the neighbors know and understand what minna has been going for the past 25 years. we'll make sure that we reach out to them. >> if i can add to your point, either way, in the event we do get complaints, we have tools to address those if compliance is needed to activate that. kind of think this is kind of still in that rel. realm in administrative cleanup.
12:52 pm
>> you can have a seat. esqueverybody finished? >> i got a motion. >> thank you. can you repeat your motion? >> i'm recommending this for approval with the following conditions. condition number one, permit holder shall be responsible for the management of special events in the patrons inside and on the perimeter of the venue. number two, there shall be a manager or lead bartender on sight during hours of operation. lastly notify via email the southern station permit officer southern station events supervisor and the entertainment commission of special events for situational awareness. >> you're reading from the staff recommendation list. is that correct?
12:53 pm
>> i'm reading -- >> am i on the right document? >> that is outlined in the staff recommendation as well. >> i second. >> president bleiman: any public comment on this item? please state your name. >> noah bartlett, sfmoma. i want to say that 111 minna gallery is a keystone establishment in our neighborhood. i know michelle. i know their operation and it's highest integrity. we love to see it continue. i know more neighbors that support that than the few that don't. >> thank you. >> president bleiman: public comment is closed. [roll call]
12:54 pm
>> president bleiman: thank you very much for your time please follow up with the deputy director at your earliest convenience. we are on to the final agenda item. which is commissioner's comments and questions. anybody have anything interesting? >> i'm bummed about mike and the eagle. mike was there. it's really shocking to know when you hear today and gone
12:55 pm
tomorrow just like that. i'm upset about the whole thing. i hope they do something on pride weekend for the eagle. i'm sure they will. >> i did have one thing to say. i was at the event on thursday. i was the emcee for the mezzanine event. the city continues to inspire me. there had to be over hundred people or maybe 200. they are unified. they brought signs the press was there and i want to commend supervisor haney for his leadership on this issue. he talked very big game about sporting night life when i was campaigning. so far with issues like this, he has come to bat for night life. we are lucky to have leadership
12:56 pm
like him and the mayor in our city who want to support it. >> president bleiman: is there any public comment? seeing none. >> oh. sorry to interrupt. just reminder that july 2nd is canceled. enjoy your fourth of july week. we will not see you all for about a month. >> one more thing. sad news came out this week that mission pie, which was san francisco institution and one of our best barbecue joints are both closing due to not -- due to various issues underline bid the difficulty of making in small business i in the city.
12:57 pm
we all need to think hard about small businesses going forward. any comments on item 8 on the agenda by the public? closing public comment. we'll adjourn the meeting 6:30 p.m. today. thank you. [meeting adjourned]
