11:45 pm
the way this community leads all of us this community leads and the politicians follow it is true. this is the first time that the mta has been an open space business and rec and park they've been programming open spaces for decades for centuries but the first for the mta and i had no doubt that with the community association with the chinese chamber of commerce, with the chinatown market street association with the chinatown administering united and chinatown neighborhood association the c y c and the elders louisiana and tom ma gunfire your job is easier because this is the neighborhood that knows how to do it for hold your feet to the fire and come up with the resources and become an attraction far beyond this neighborhood. now we have -
11:46 pm
that is not just chinatown it is great are chinatown with raufrn hill and north bacterium beach to jackson square the reality all of san francisco is greater chinatown. and this is the center and this segue connected to the rest of the city a remarkably important state and this rooftop some the icing on the cake and in a way that attracts visitors flu all over the state and country that makes the center of this chinatown and then let me say that because of that leadership this government under the leadership have been london breed has been consistent about the infrastructureal needs not just about having financially finished in project was also about what next up the lake superior of chinatown
11:47 pm

from sacramento to checkout the space is all those are happening because of partnerships with the different partners that are behind me i feel thumbnail to stand in front of them they make chinatown so vibrate and take the opportunity to take the partnership with mta for their resources and investment to make that a chinatown paris possible and more than that thank the community who is station at the chinatown station from 10 hours a day to provide support and they speak two or three languages to direct the tourists to get to the best restaurants or local resident whether they wanted to take the train or
11:51 pm
subsidy. >> the other thing to mention personally a lot of people come out buttons the public safety but chinatown we have the best the central stations will have control in chinatown but some - happen on second street when - young you know what all the neighbors and the people that backpack bad actor ask for help and just ran down the street to capture the suspect and within two minutes and take the whole community to keep us safe and chinatown is stronger than ever because everyone behind me worked together so thank you very much. >> (clapping). >> thank you, so many and for

we experienced then and we've experienced over the years in this playground is now filled with these voices. >> 321, okay. [ applause ] >> the park was kind of bleak. it was scary and over grown. we started to help maclaren park when we found there wasn't any money in the bond for this park maclaren. we spent time for funding. it was expensive to raise money for this and there were a lot of delays. a lot of it was just the mural, the sprinklers and we didn't have any grass. it was that bad. we worked on sprinkler heads and grass and we fixed everything. we
11:57 pm
worked hard collecting everything. we had about 400 group members. every a little bit helped and now the park is busy all week. there is people with kids using the park and using strollers and now it's safer by utilizing it. >> maclaren park being the largest second park one of the best kept secrets. what's exciting about this activation in particular is that it's the first of many. it's also representation of our city coming together but not only on the bureaucratic side of things. but also our neighbors, neighbors helped this happen. we are thrilled that today we are seeing the fruition of all that work in this city's open space. >> when we got involved with this park there was a broken swing set and half of -- for
11:58 pm
me, one thing i really like to point out to other groups is that when you are competing for funding in a hole on the ground, you need to articulate what you need for your park. i always point as this sight as a model for other communities. >> i hope we continue to work on the other empty pits that are here. there are still a lot of areas that need help at maclaren park. we hope grants and money will be available to continue to improve this park to make it shine. it's a really hidden jewel. a lot of people don't know it's here.
12:00 am
goodness this is the way it is supposed to be. >> hello, i think we can start the melting so for those who in back can you get a seat? >> and let's begin. and someone save a separate of food for me, please (laughter). >> i should have taken the 25 bucks to get here actually so um, welcome, everybody oh, my 0 goodness this is so great is that the way it is supposed to be okay. >> well that is our first on island he meeting in over three years so a cause for celebration; right? >> so for once ever illness and
12:01 am
isolation and fear but those were also the year we saw how important family and neighbors were and how important to have parks and open space and important to have peace. and threats what wiring trying to builds on island a new community a new neighborhood of san francisco. and i think this is a good time to mind ours those of you knew to treasure island a vision and to acknowledge the progress we made national last few years. and with master plan was after years and years of
12:02 am
discussion and public debate over one dozen years ago i am struck by how far sustainable the plan is for treasure island. the focus on building 8 thousand units new homes as you know but it is mix of howe for range of incomes in the low to moderate so high end and the remarkable feature master plan of a gift do all of us this community as well as to san francisco it is there be three hundred angels or acres ever open space and parks will be the largest addition to the city's park system since we built golden gate park it is happening here on treasure island and so we have to really acknowledge this plan is really
12:03 am
a great plan for the city and we're going to have a major any water system along the waters edge and have a promenade and have wetlands and wild areas at the northern edge of island. we're going to have neighborhood parks for sports and children and, yes even be dogs. all connected we bicycle and fields and this is a wonderful, wonderful plan for us. did you know this plan has won intergovernmental recognize the largest development in the world to receive certification for neighborhoods development it has received an reward award in the clinton climate initiative and the plan to address adopted by b
12:04 am
cbc a model for all communities around the state and the last thing the pandemic as you can see we have a motion on the floor buffoon continuing to work for the technical work for the phase one of the development make those sites on treasure island more safe than on the embarcadero and the mainland and have no roads and bicycle passion and water and sewer lines and building a great water system will irrigate the landscape an treasure island. this is this is the horizon are infrastructure we've bang, they can billed vertical infrastructures on island i'm going to proud we have opened the first new affordable housing project on treasure island (clapping) many of you were at the
12:05 am
celebration (clapping) the happy day we've been waiting more affordable housing project to be finished and opted out on island this is the market-rate condominium project completed and we are under a construction on the next housing development consent calendar including by lizcy housing with the hearing from them later on did you see the storm drain garden the spring they were blooming with poppies and other narrative plants those plants were gathered before construction begins and the in your mind in the island so that they can be replanted after the construction is over. and we did this together with ledge a nonprofit that gets training for the
12:06 am
horticulture for the youth and a few circle of being able to serve the eco system and with jobs and training for the youth and so it shows that infrastructure the stormwater filters and cleans the water quality before the system. >> so also during this period we had many important transit corrections like the landing and connecting the bay bridge the bicycle path and those connections to the east bay and san francisco are parallel important and not yet on the hills park on island the first
12:07 am
art sculpt called the environment a public celebration and all of you will be invited and by summer on the new dog park on the hill which is the best year of any dog park in the world i think so we're finally seeing the fruits of effort and building more options and celebrations of the new housing and parks and new community facilities and now places for businesses to thrive many months of planning sat on the shelf never get built but for treasure island will late because it is sustainable and it is um, it has equity providing affordable housing as part of this core mission that. so it will take seconds to finish the vision for
12:08 am
treasure island this year economic cycle one the worst i've seen in four decades the pandemic and the rising terrorist and banking so we have accomplished so much in the last few years things or thanks to the staff an amazing people of the best architects and engineers so i would say that lets build up treasure island not pull it down. as we gather that in-person from the special unique place it is and owe to the masons to get it right. i want to show photos from the park is alex here he constructed
12:09 am
training for folks for the project and also heard he was a amateur photographer and the has a few photos from island. so let's um, show should have his photos. is he we're seeing it right here; right? by here's some photos he goes about on island loves to take the photos and it reminds us of the specific last year place this is. that's the one center construction workers wow. and just from our island we can see the footage. and the night time

12:13 am
people have had that done we are a city we want to preserve this island for everybody but having your vehicle towed as the first step towards homelessness and people that are paying a retention the reason we're targeted because we have those pesky rights with regards to the rent and that's i've been told by the security guards they've been tottered do it most of them are black they don't want to do it and as a white guy in america i know there is liability so in the contract enforce the contract all kinds of things that can be done the potholes but no, they started this to target specifically black residents on this island i think
12:14 am
that unacceptable and oh, well this and that they're playing into something to so racism attempt have there but this is raciest and targeting black neighbors and friends. thank you. >> thank you. >> thank you for the letting us know taking into consideration. >> next please come up. >> thank you i don't think - >> thank you. >> and can somebody help her with the microphone? >> thank you for coming today. >> my name is natalie carping take care i live on steering begin street and i'm hardship

12:16 am
of goods i'd like to attend a lot of the functions on island instead of having to go into the city and look around for an event but if we got it here like i love what we did in the springs celebration those are all things i can attend but when i have to go sweet spot city because there are not things like that here it hurts because i have to here write live so - >> but the main thing is 33 the handicap getting around on island like i said no sidewalk on certain streets. no ram do get off the sidewalk we have to
12:17 am
circle and get back because there is no way to get off. >> thank you. >> thank you for bringing that up. >> (clapping). >> you know. handicap that must be very frustrating to you and handicap seated at the table is an important part of our plan so i don't know because they're under construction but we need to look at that that is look into with the construction sites. >> more residential. >> uh-huh. >> thank you for the opportunity to address the board or commissioners today. i appeared before you more than once unfortunately, more than two years ago the group i'm a member of member of several organizations one is the local business advisory commission i'm

12:53 am
you to know the construction training program at treasure island is the best not only the big area in the state of california we're funded residents at risk san franciscans from the bay area if chinatown and matter we going gone to the prison we are training people that most have the programs in the bay area in the state of california will not touch. why it is important. i wanted to people write more about that so people help us to write more what we're doing in the various programs we are funded so people can hear that and help that's the purpose of the press so i wanted to make that write that down a great
12:54 am
opportunity a vision for treasure island it is to train so that all this residents one day and those in san francisco, california look at treasure island and work here and we're going to make that happen so thank you. i wanted to put that is too important when i read about what transpired today it is so important to us here. thank you. >> thank you. linda. >> and - >> thank you. >> very much. madam chair, woman. it is great to see so many of my fellow residents here. i live on the 0i8d and it was really great to hear um, some of the concerns and one of the concerns was the translation issue and it does state that if
12:55 am
we get a advance notice have a person there to translate but just because of the - costly that will great to have advance notice and we'll make those arrangements but said to ask director really thrilled to hear that the dog park everybody buildings i love dogs what about dog park on island on treasure island what happened to that? >> well the current dog park will be stained and additional dog parks the new parks as their constructed for example, on the east side neighborhood one of the blocks of east side will be a dog park as well. >> okay. great. because might be hard for some people to load or drag they're dogs up to the
12:56 am
island so thank you, very much and that's really it. one thing about the y and the swimming i am not by all means if your kids can't swim let them enroll them i almost drowned la was and the kids and my parent got me swimming lessons but it was a really great thing that will save your child's life. >> thank you and please. thank you all for coming out, i know it is your evening we we appreciate hearing our concerns i hope we can address them tonight. um, what i wanted to call back we did two meetings ago we're not talking about the concerns i want to make sure we do that what we're sailing in
12:57 am
the future meetings so if there is a way to get some type of commitment i know it it takes time to get commitment and also perhaps if we have some type of working group with the folks that come out to meeting we can collaborate and address concerns i do that say is important. >> (clapping). >> any other. >> thank you for coming out i heard three concerns that really stuck in any mind i took a lot of not the biggest one was handicap individuals and no ramps for them this is a serious safety issue we need to try to find something 78 and interpretation that is where that is signed or language has to have a voice period and then
12:58 am
the first day one was the lbe when i was and last meeting they talked about it and i'm very interested are in where that is going, thank you. (clapping). >> so um, then let's see - we already had public comment is that own the item on the agenda? >> (multiple voices). >> oh. okay. will you help her with the microphone? >> i of the sailing you know who you are. we are a large thriving community and some of us has been here for years. i've been here permanently since 2009 and all that time for the been a search on island i want to know why we don't have a church, i used to be a very religious person until i got here because
12:59 am
no church to go to i love for a church to be here. >> that's something you might want to think about. >> thank you. >> la sanchez. >> bob i got a couple of questions around the is ev is there any upcoming work any upcoming bidding and what is the outreach efforts look like at that point what do we have to look forward to? >> the next work that um, i.e., i believe the treasure island community development ask working on planning to bid out
1:00 am
is many restoration work on the chapel as well as the city does parks those are expected to happen later on this fall and that daniel butler not here tonight i think they're looking at the september timeframe to have a um, an outreach to try to provide information but i'll work with um, danielle and bring more detailed back to the board in the future. >> did he have any target dates for the rfp before september? >> i - i don't the plan for the october, november timeframe. >> oh. okay. >> all right. then as far as our spanish speaking residents i
1:01 am
apologize that there is such a disconnect in the information i apologize you have for the of the included in this process and i would like as far as myself i know also speak on behalf of the parent council to help you close that gap. that will never be the intention i'm glad to brought it to our attention and please i look forward to hearing from you i'll give you my information and several councilmembers in the audience please let us work on this together and one treasure island also help in the process too because we as we got into the development 90-day grace period it is hard enough for those who have been here longer 10 years we know how hard to navigate island i appreciate you
1:02 am
coming here tonight. thank you. >> (clapping.) >> and that's the - we have the next item, please. >> >> 4. communications from and received by tida. any questions from the board from comments received on this particular item? >> no then any public comment? >> no? >> this is on this item this agenda item which is communications from the - and the only question i didn't ask about how i'm going to get in and exit in the island if we don't get it working and also how can i be able to go to the city. >> thank you. >> okay. >> um, we're going to the next item, please.
1:03 am

1:05 am
>> all in favor, say "aye." >> aye. >> opposed? the i's have it. so the next item please on the agenda. >> oh, i'm sorry we're going to move up items 10 and 11. >> to accommodate the staff. >> item 10. >> 10. yerba buena island ramps and roadways update. >> i'd like to welcome, carl holmes from the transportation authority will give this update. >> welcome, carl. >> thank you. >> go ahead. >> good evening madam chair, person and commissioners director beck my name is carl
1:06 am
holmes i'm an employee of transportation authority and deputy director for capital projects and been in the role since october of 2022 so going on 8 or 9 months and happy to present an update on some of the infrastructure projects that we have. and so i'll start with southgate first present to the community um, master plan for the infrastructure that we have so this is our guide to completing the infrastructure projects and image a lot to see on this slide. the focus of this preparation e presentation the far right the yellow the off range for southgate coming out
1:07 am
of the bridge from san francisco to oakland. and that was just opt in may 6th um, actually had the ribbon cutting and you were there as well as some of the communicated we're happy to present on that. um, and the other focused update for today is west side bridges advertised in the original which is in the bottom left and i don't know if i were to move mow my cursor the bottom left for the west side bridges and on the right is southgate. and while i'm on this slide i'd like to say as we get spot west side bridges project since we opened the off-ramp for southgate that is allowing for us to perform work on west side
1:08 am
bridges which was right adjacent to the existing or original off-ramp from the bay bridge going east bay. we are perpetrating to lose that off-ramp will be closed starting june 23rd so starting on thursday night june 22nd during that night shift have crews preparing to shut down that exist so by the morning of friday the 23, that exit will be closed and closed for an the order of three to four years so can allow for the west side bridges project to proceed. on monday the following monday so june 23rd is friday the
1:09 am
following monday will be closing the only ramp so for those on the island on this side of island wanting to enter the brim to go to san francisco that om ramp will be closed. >> wow. >> remind you, we have on ramps on the other side of the island we're allowing the additional weekend time for residents to prepare and also muni is working with the to make sure we'll be rerouting the buses user the southgate oh, ram a lot close collaboration with not only muni but working with caltrans and letting the community know so hoping the community is so i'm
1:10 am
here to make sure this update is heard. >> would you on that map show us then for people coming from san francisco how will we exit to get on treasure island can you - >> (multiple voices.) >> absolutely, absolutely. >> so right now at the bottom of this slide is the san francisco side. >> right. >> of a you're going up to the right to my right you're going towards the island from san francisco and normal you'll take the exit on the southwest this will be closed you continue going up sorry this technology glitch here. >> you continue going up um,
1:11 am
the slide on the freeway and then you'll see on the far right for the far right side where the exit that is open that was opened last month you'll make that far right from the far right lane exit in the right-hand side. >> so you'll loop around and going go underneath the bridge and then you'll go into ma conclusively road back down to treasure island boulevard where you are right now. >> this is a huge change. >> for everyone that lives on treasure island we really must make sure communication gets out to treasure island people. um, residents and people that are coming for jobs otherwise will
1:12 am
be a lot of confusion on this bay bridge. >> understood we are working that we have our consultant team that um, works for sf and the tida staff and caltrans and their public outreach teams will be more also coverage i'm sure month wise with regards to making sure not just coming to meeting and seeing me and on the webbed but for coverage we realize how important and purposing make sure we have the southgate off rather than open for prospering 6 weeks being opened by the time we are closings that to allow for the behavior and to be able to give people an opportunity to make that decision saving in the far
1:13 am
left to the far right. >> are you able to speak about the communication outreach has been and with the signage will be for this this is a yes. >> we have again there's been a traffic advisory by caltrans on june 8th have is two week advance notice working with them they're the ones that control the right-of-way we have nofkz on website and we're doing everything we can 0 it put out more and working with the media to make sure and help us to get out the word we don't want to wait for people to go to our website but getting the word out user other means. >> will you finish our presentation and then we'll on it up. >> sorry to interrupt.
1:14 am
>> again, this is a zoomed in version of southgate rather than the ramp you can use now and this is the rather than will be open for use when we do close the original off-ramp. and so we are also pleased to be able to share this allows for pedestrians and bicyclists coming from the east bay using the bicycle facility on the bay bridge to make the connection from the bay bridge and to go also underneath on to ma custodial road and utilize the bicycle path and sidewalks currently constructed this essentially is briggs chaney the gap with allowing pedestrian and bicycle access to treasure island as well as to the ferry
1:15 am
terminal and through san francisco. that project um, is 6 is $0 million project we're in the close out phase of that and started in the spring of 2020 and taken a huge effort not only with the furnished but the implementation side. i mentioned that - those are planning to close the project in december this is a photo of some of the construction as that was being developed. and i mentioned also the ribbon cutting we had lee last month and the opening now get into the west side bridges. this is the project we are about to start and this is the reason why we're closing the original off ramp in a couple of weeks this project will replace 7
1:16 am
dwesh bridges and retrofit one and provide class two bicycle facilities 4 foot width plus this project will take three years and it is on the orders of one hundred and $16 million total construction costs and again, this is the effort of multiple-generational funding departments to get us to gather up all the funds at some point prior to my time with the agency the project had a a shortfall and not fund i'm pleased to say we've gathered the fund and will begin this project. these are the funding perhaps and stakeholders we want to acknowledge from caltrans to
1:17 am
tida to the public works and others. um, this is a listing of all of funding sources that subpoena will up to the one hundred and $16 million funding package and those are the costs types of shoring the base construction costs and as well as the - that are needed to deliver it project and it is the table of some of our key milestones i mentioned of them we issued our notice of receipt in april i mentioned we're closing off the original off-ramp. as well as the closing the only ramp on it 22 to june 26th and have a detour the forest road detour this is in
1:18 am
close collaboration with the department of development team so there is a roadway that is um, and i'll go back to - hate to try with the line of the words in the dining rooms there is a forest detour in the pink that will be planning to open if for use in august and that will allow for once we fully close this off range and not allow traffic to go um, in the left to right direction, we will allow for residents and workers and visitors to be able to use the forest road detour to circulate throughout the island that again in august. >> i'll i'll scroll back to
1:19 am
where i was. >> again, this is a three to four year project we're looking at december 26th and have a three year evaluation period why we have the final date of december 2029. >> this project once the bridge with the project delivery method using the k we got the authority for an board in ri68 to proceed with that method that the joint venture contract and taking from 2018 to mark of this year to come up with a package not only the funding but an agreement with the cost we can move forward with. but we are confident that the cost we got
1:20 am
are have the contractors are 2.7 percent difference between their cost and our estimates so in the order of one hundred and $15 million that a pretty good um, set of numbers. we also have our deb goals target was 11 percent and this and this contractor will do that under 13 percent we have bunch of risks four i presented to the board in march and three of them we're resolved and the only one is the forest road detour and working closely with tida and the development team so we're tracking that for august. and with that, i'm going to turn it over to you for any questions? >> okay. thank you. >> very much carl.
1:21 am
>> (clapping). >> this is very important report i'd like to say we appreciate the cooperation the county of transportation authority together with tida actually very important for and - before so to have all the sources you have funding in different places and agencies that was a task and so i think that the items will be - all the improvements again so thank you very much. and i'm going to open up for public comment for or first and take questions or comments from the commission. >> okay. any comments from the public? >> you can come up now. >> okay. thank you. >> hello characterized yes, go ahead jeff again. in the first
1:22 am
ramps project i think that is $18 million from the county transportation authority and our rents were promised as security. our rent promised again as security for those two projects much bigger just a question? >> thank you. >> (clapping.) >> the second. >> hello, my name is - i'm a resident on the i'd like been on island for 17 years i have a question in terms of when you're coming from san francisco and getting on to the bridge. so right now existing new lanes in the far right when you're going east bay eyeball-to-eyeball
1:23 am
between three and 7 you're not able to go on the brick. the only because you - a person can get on the bridge having to deal with the traffic on one 0 one and i take second street. okay. >> but had you get on is bridge you're not far left lane that is part of treasure island is closed what happened you can navigate to the first lane to get off treasure island. and the problem is that drivers have not forgiving and most of the people driving of driving are coming from work. so it is going to be very difficult to have to navigate through all that traffic i want to founded whether there is a way that during this construction that we
1:24 am
can utilize the commuter traffic lanes right now we do that we get a 450 ticket so take into consideration. >> thank you for the comment. >> (clapping.) >> and go ahead. >> hi, i'm a resident and one question i have it the roads are up and over a hill that - in the recent past for example, semis have coming down the hillside for 45 hours and the mechanisms to clean up traffic for people without going up a much higher hill than what we have now. >> thank you for your comments. >> do we have anyone else on the phone? >> no callers on the phone. >> so public comment is closed. and open up to as the board
1:25 am
members so, yes linda. >> mr. holmes thank you for the presentation. and a shout out to julie changing the director i think you heard and your team are doing fantastic job for treasure island i have a similar question as the public resident. if you miss. >> high probability you missouri turn and if you don't navigate and get to the right lane in your new to treasure island a traveler you'll miss that. i did that one time and i think that was a way to get detour as the chief something for i think people need to know about that you're traveling and
1:26 am
suddenly a $2 million and you're trying navigate and sufld can't get on the left and right you passed your entrance to treasure island i think one needs to know she stays on the left lane there is a range before you get to the toll i do think that several times and not too many people know that if you don't know that you've go back and go to the toll that's number one, and the other suggestion that i need to be public service announcements on one 0 one with those i think digital travelers need to know every two years or 3 miles before the bridge the left lane is no longer there and that that
1:27 am
would be great because june 26th is right around the corner i can assure that you a lot of people don't know so tomorrow can begin this digital one 01 coming up to treasure island everywhere a big change after the travel, you know. they're to be able to be guided out but that's my suggestion. >> thank you i will personally it can that up with caltrans i know we talked about that with the changing the message sign and as well as having a way to communicate that there is a way to turn around before you go past the plaza we don't want people to do that but it is better than- >> (multiple voices). >> further into oakland and having to sit in the toll plaza
1:28 am
to come back. >> yes, thank you. >> thank you you and also the commenter about we'll take to caltrans and sf mta anything to be done about some consideration with the carpool lane that is off of bryant i can't promise but i'll promise i'll at least communicate i can see that. >> thank you, sir. >> a shawn. >> i'm a resident that drives into the island i'm just as concerned as she is and worth probably as far as assess that is what will happen. the majority of people on island about utilities that lane out of
1:29 am
convention and safety that lane will be used so how do we expedite this conversation to get it, you know. on the agenda so it can - we can start talking about this now up i'm curious about the outreach on island on the island outreach efforts as far as the closure you said this is skeleton for june 23rd? >> yep. >> that is like 10 days away like 10 days away. >> for those of us with a families and working in the busy summer schedule and some activities i'm skifrnd may not be enough time to make the proper adjustment i live on island i ran into emergency services and stuck in traffic
1:30 am
for an hour janitorial this note needs to be a heavy, heavy effort so residents are aware and also will those will those on gps your food delivery person is on island how will this translate with one exit is closed this exit is on? we're going to be closed at threeish correct and southgate will be open and working on the others that's a lot of information i love the presentations i thank you so much. >> it is a lot of information. and for the law person we have
1:31 am
outreach agendas and collaboration because we have student directives i'm thinking about our student drivers in my own howled (laughter). >> i have two things just often on highways get those electronic signs as you for a long term this ramp is closed between this and that i've not seen that on the highway and coordinate are caltrans with the one signs. seems close. >> like i said i'll be following up with caltrans as soon as i get back to my seat about this because this is - we had a number of meetings about making sure that the public is
1:32 am
aware of this happening. whether that is people that are 0i8d residents visitors or front line workers or even the traveling public where tourists we want everybody to know. >> so the fact that you are not aware is - right. >> data for me we need need to get out the word more strongly so that will happen. >> i have one more quick question. you listed goals for disadvantaged enterprises i'm curious with the lbe's on the project? >> not prescribed goals contractual but i'll say that i firmly believe in diversity of all types i communicated to the contractor that we need to have diversity and all levels not
1:33 am
just printed contractually i'm letting proof that and not shamed to say that's something i've communicated with the general contractor. >> thank you very much. sure. >> go ahead. >> i just didn't want to - provide that we need the with flirdz on the table tonight. about the upcoming closures will be glout housing providers. um, as well as there is a changeable message board that is up on 9th street forecasting the coming closures but we'll be ramping up the messaging through next door and all of our you're able other let's for the next two weeks.
1:34 am
>> thank you and then the gps a big one; right? >> of course. >> and okay any other comments from the directors? >> thank you very much >> i have a comment. >> i didn't see you sorry. >> i agree with everybody's comments about we need more signage out there like the freeways san antonio and caltrans is behind the ball but this goes to the construction when do you start demo pretty quick on the - >> pretty quick. >> like that is the whole thing demo facts starting the new construction so on it as quickly as possible doesn't damaging on with plan in place will happen pretty quick; right? >> that's the main push for those detour we can fully gain
1:35 am
access to that area and start the demolition so we're looking at that late summer or early fall and started sooner that we have. >> groundbreaking i failed to announce this friday for the west side bridges starting at 12 o'clock but no matter of the admin building and best building with elected officials having that on their radar no bureau for me to deliver so pushing for the demolition starting late summer or early fall. >> thank you. >> thank you, such. >> so we'll go on to the next item, please. >> and. >> 11. sfmta treasure island 25 route update. >> yeah. so mta
1:36 am
was here and had a tabled during the session and with the change in the exits will be impacts on the timing of the muni service so wanted to invite bryan here to say a few words. >> thank you so much. and bryan has been on the public information officer at muni and appreciate you inviting us here to talk about what those on and off for the bus service on treasure island will be delays will make each one of the buses take longer than. and one of the community members hibdz and need
1:37 am
to make the four lane transfers to get off on the new on and off rather than on the right side of road that is difficult in a passenger vehicle we expect it astonish more difficult when you're driving a muni bus that looks like is starting saturday so - our operators will be making this change um, earlier a few days early to make sure they're used to the route before the on and off ramps close to starting saturday morning the 25 line will start using the new on and off ramps this will may take 5 more minutes and that will impact the frequency of the route. on weeks ago days except approximately every 20 minutes that bus will be coming and the
1:38 am
weekend we expect every thirty minutes at about it our best estimate we have done testing bus runs on the on and off ramps and seeing everyone as well as using the new on and off ramps to see the impacts to the frequencies and the traffic time for the 25 bus. so, yes i'm sorry. we and i want to emphasize two we have not changed it in any way not investing in any less service in the one treasure island service but will not go as far san francisco transportation authority in 2020 we brought that and continued at the level but want to maintain a
1:39 am
high-level of 25 island bus we are trying get word out every simple way we can 12 thousand 5 hundred people that subscribe to the text alerts for the 25 bus we've sent messages and will send another message before the change this saturday and then we'll be shared information with the supervisors office and put up poster and every single route or every single stop on the route has a poster in english and china's and spanish and letting folks know about the impacts to the frequency will be live at the sales force transit center as well sea we'll be communicating with all of our website information as well
1:40 am
sfmta.com/25 i want to be clear whether wherever people are getting off not changing and the 25 because it is twenty-four hours but between one automated teller machine should see no change that is it in thirty minute frequency and with less traffic in the that late night we don't expect changes formulate night riders with that thank you all for inviting us to share with the folks and great to stalk with so many people in advance questions you may have. >> thank you very much. for coming today (clapping) i wished i taken the 25 to this meeting. thank you, bob for letting us know about the
1:41 am
changes yeah. >> so i'm going to open up for public comment and to the directors. >> come on up. >> go ahead. >> good evening williams i'm trying to take they breathe i'm thinking about we talked about like too young directives i'm vices listing going up a big hill with uber that is like scary i'm thinking about my safety with my kids and thinking about, you know. like what that will be experience like on the bus and then you're talking about reducing the number of
1:42 am
buses all right. unreliable symptom we have issues that to me is a big safety issue and what happens if it bus misses that turn and then it has to turn around you have to cut in front of the people speeding in the tolls to then turn back around that will mean like potentially 40 or 50 cars might have to turn around in a bus i don't know if you experience what happened when you're trying to get off island and a bunch of accidents i'm thinking about the lives the possibly can be in disagree with some bus what in the bus breaks adopt a narrow road to be doing that. >> (clapping). >> two weeks. thank you. >> (clapping.)
1:43 am
>> . okay. invocation. >> yep. >> any story the 25 buses; correct? why don't we have right inside of that market put some flyers and everything else inside of the buttons and outside the bus it is treasure island; right? >> i'm thinking that as good idea and my other thoughts u thought i noticed as driver with new additions to the beautiful island the turns for the buses they have to make they seem to have to make them wide into the other lanes i don't think everyone has some thought about
1:44 am
that when we were doing the construction you, you have to back up sorry. (laughter). >> so, thank you. >> and thank you. >> >> (clapping). >> that's did you want to comment on that? >> yeah. sign on the bus themselves. >> i like at the idea one issue is that the buses are not residing the routes they change by the day they come from the same plats but pulled out in a bus it is clean and can be a different bus every single day based on the status of bus we thought about that in terms of yeah communicating changes in advance um, and anything fiscal year 2016-17 within the bus will unfortunately, we can't rely on the day a different bus might be
1:45 am
serving that lane. >> thank you. any other public comment on the phone or in the audience? on the phone? public comment is closed. open up to the directors and we will start with you. >> thank you for your presentation one quick question just i noticed there is always notices on the buses and disappear within an hour those are huge changes that is important that the information gets to the public? >> test. >> so put up signage at each of the stops and sales force has a changing sign we added additional signage on island and
1:46 am
that we also having will replace the signage if, you know. by saturday there is signage that went away we know that is an issue. >> thank you. >> so and the bus for 20 minutes and delays on a regular basis for those two - have late morning doing the right thing the traffic coming across the bridge between 7:30 and months people leave island by 6 o'clock and come back in the afternoon after into 1:30 and 2 if this is the regular classes has that been taking into consideration with the extent route? and have we said saturday you were
1:47 am
starting to practice; right? >> testing. >> that will be in service so rider will be using the new route starting saturday from the time the signage up on the on and off ramps close to everyone the operators will be operating for a few days. >> we're to be navigating and what that took place. >> this saturday. >> this saturday. >> this saturday? >> for the bridges and the other exits closes a lot to navigate i want to make sure we have the proper singe in place the proper information, and i think will behove all transportation agencies being special contact with the agencies on island that serve the residents that we're all on the same page as a mother and driver i do have some concerns. and it will be something new all
1:48 am
the twoifts and turns a big bus, you know. that alone will accuse delays how we get off the island so that is now goupt hill i really, really really, really want to see your honor, extra efforts as far as the outreach and treasure island is one of the smallest community button hardest to get out the word it is important i like one thing i applaud have every language available i'm happy about that we don't want a disconnect so with folks it is an issue thank you for your presentation. >> thank you. >> okay. >> hearing no one or questions or comments i'd like to move this agenda so people can get home to their families. so the next item, please.
1:49 am
>> back to 7. >> 7. treasure island aspirational statement. >> i'd like for the presentation so we can begin. thank you very much. >> thank you. >> good evening, good evening a pleasure for heber good evening for the board and the community members i've had the absolute honor of working treasure island and ti b g to develop and draft the statement for our community for treasure island. and for those of us who may or may not know will let's
1:50 am
talk about the operational statement. aspirational is lack of foundation that dump trucks the future that reflection and valued by the defining body that being the community, that being the group that put it together and every person in the room i thank director for starting our conversation earlier today around what 0 it means to evolve and change but also i want to uplift the community and say what is that that is important for us to remain to hold on and uplift for dignity. so with that, operational statements include a vision what the will future looking a mission what are we working toward and value what that is, we building we improve from the community we want each other to know but the
1:51 am
future that brings us to why it is important we want to make sure that resident and community members that are telegraph hill here now and those are past are still recognized as we evolve as we change as we build and as we're doing that want to set the tone with common language that everyone and yet to come before vista are new businesses or new partners or whether we bring in contractors whatever joined our community has a common language we can all uphold what did that look like? the purpose of this project was to be able to develop the shared vision statement for treasure island and rotated in what we need to continue to that uphold inclusion and supporting the cultural development. how do we
1:52 am
go 0 both about that this is not is a one time was i had the pleasure in working on this but this particular project over 6 months and in that process supported by u how three partner and ongoing comments from other streamlined how did we do that? >> a collective workshop came together to be able to god this information and provide feedback on that. we were able to look at community workshops from the island members themselves and hope the three virtually meetings and another follow-up meeting for the data and presented to the board in the past and presented to the can do we present this to the cip board and today presenting it live with the final statement we are proposing it to you are for the language of treasure island.
1:53 am
part of that assessment in our most recent community to conduct the surveys were disseminated from april and we collected over one hundred and fifty surveys in language and chinese and spanish and we're able to look at the responses and what the response said about what we're proposing as follows:. the words that represent the thank you. i community in the do you believe in the bubble if anyone seen this is the birth word where people identify with the most. so in this case opportunity building diversity, inclusion and connection and helpful that is what people before reading our statement building that pi is once we share our statement what are the word is resonated
1:54 am
with the community members and those reading that the most in that an opportunity equity and inclusion and community sustainability. if there is anything urging to remember i hope you remedy from this preparation a lot of overlap what pi is and our words in our statement you'll see in a moment. when else people hope they're connected the overall majority we look at that in a contemplate way 95 percent my math is not that great but that is really great. how did people feel connected 90 percent said they did. >> we didn't tipped to be perfect but intend to put for the what we lived was that feeling that will capture and
1:55 am
connect the community and where it is now and where we want to to be in the future and language that the change of the word of environmental care adversaries equity and people want to remember and how the the unique we made sure that was also resonated and shifted into a statement and the one thing that people want continuing asked for we reinforce that as community effort not just a bits or operation a community. and so without further ado, i'll read what the statement say. and if i
1:56 am
may. >> so our vision statement is that treasure island is a thriving san francisco neighborhood in the middle of bay celebrated by 35 culture and experiences and sustainable community. what is our mission what do we said to to our mission to treat creating a welcoming violent and healthy community that housing the diversity of past existing and future residents and businesses and visitors and what our core values include inclusion and equity sustainability, opportunity, and connection. and when we talk about treasure island we want to remember that that occupant u opportunity
1:57 am
awaits. and some lingering concerns we might say we need to insure the equity and individual alter and the affordability are still applicable and remain available to the community we want to insure we address the safety concerned around island you heard it today so prominent not only we heard in our surveys and people are looking for a place to comprehensivelyly serve the receipt we increase awareness of the visions and credibility and trust of the community and what you define was that looks like. beyond that some next steps people time to see promoted always people mobile bludgeons and maybe consider more information on the
1:58 am
one 25 that is important and business markers on the islands and other ways through the community action and shared power and resident and delays in the housing units next door and other online podium and the the next steps consider how you want to transparently to the residents and anyone not only those that are coming and involve the city officials and use the beautiful buildings and amounts and the ferry landing and tv radio and other platforms and make sure that everyone is buying in to it but bowing into the same language we can't seek achievement for ourselves our vision must be broad view to
1:59 am
include the needs of others 2024 safety and theirs. thank you for the time and the hope (unintelligible). >> (clapping). >> thank you with that for that presentation and for that aspirational statement i can say on behalf of the board we are pleased and also the core values you present and glad to note that 90 percent responded to this survey like with love this island that is really important, yes. >> so i'm going to open up open up for public comment first and then to the directors. >> anyone who wishes to make any questions or comments on this presentation? >> you can come up now. okay. >> and then move on the phone
2:00 am
as okay. we'll open up to the directors for questions or comments. >> no? >> okay. >> um. >> i have - >> la shawn. >> this is to you kate all the presentations today were late to make sure the commissioners have them. okay. >> yes. >> so- >> (multiple voices). >> and we're going to move on and my other comment um, the utilities up and running me that's my name how like i want to see a little bit more with the use of aspect on the assessment i'd like to see that. >> okay. >> (background noise) >> keep going the surveyed were open and get input on what the presentation is and none of the language is alternated i'm opened to provide that back out
2:01 am
again and have them review that if there is changes we'll make that possible. >> thank you. >> all right. so i think we can governor to the next item please. >> 8. star view court update. >> like to invite mercy housing to they're going to give an update on the um, status of star view court project and which will be, you know. under construction and expected to be completed roughly a year from now. >> can you hear me? >> go ahead. >> hi, i'm evelyn mercy housing project manager for star view court. >> happy to be here in front of much you all and late presented in 2019 so excited to share the

transportation or in costs. so just like how, you know. you say you want to see people show up you want to see the diversity here they are the community showing up and this is just a portion of the families that are saying hey my children are over here and not housing over here. he yet we're still not believe and holding the developers to really reflect and build housing i keep on saying imagine a house with a family of 6 doing laundry downstairs and where urging to park. if you did that imagine that would you know nearly 90 percent a big community is above the one hundred and $25,000 a year we keep on moving forward
2:13 am
please stand up and say stop. enough. we are a community getting torn up you keep saying we're to here but not showing up i see that if the parking and how we're doing this hold them accountable to keep the community together (clapping) this is a phenomenal community. >> showing up. we're showing up he keep telling you we keep bringing and you showing up come on please. thank you for your saying. >> (clapping). >> well um, so i will open to the directors. >> for any of you have questions or comments. >> yes. >> linda please go ahead. >> thank you very much for the update on the start. you know.

we are here and the hope that was continue to have meetings on island we will get the community to roll informed and educate people to see what the 1rer789 are not too many people knew that san francisco the city and county of san francisco set policy all the commissioners here in a different capacity when all this plans were drawn we have the parking that you have now because san francisco the entire san francisco development not just this one they are not encouraging public transportation. i want to stress that out there. you also need to look at the cost this star a -
2:15 am
we've been building to have the maximum unit because san francisco right now have almost 70 thousand families that are waiting in line and can't able to get into housing. i'm sure you all are reading about the homeless situation san francisco doesn't have all the money in the world to do the housing we're begging every that money a public parking share to build start apartment with the funding comes from public, private and nonprofit everything together so you have an agreement that hud will not have that is san francisco long gone but a central area to do our laundry that's the trend in san

francisco. and where everybody small business doing to help to build housing we have the mayor on treasure island but right now not all the fund to do that and i wanted to do. but response to, you know. i wanted you to come to mercy and convey to john stuart at the beginning of our meeting i heard the statement from the public about i don't people are toortd and heard from the residents about the rent. we also hear from san francisco not just what i'd like to have at some point a presentation from john staurtd and mercy housing to to us because at the end of the day, we want to make sure
2:17 am
the residents are able to live on the island the number one goal and bring it up since you're here we're took looking at that and we have the information that can help so substantiate that, however, we are 3w50g9sd to ask those questions and make sure that the residents are we come out to treasure island we want the i state that we have support for and all are here not a coincidence that everyone is sitting here w decisions were made consciously to make sure we have the questions. i'm going to be asking again about how rent and who are displaced we know we don't have any report but sometimes you hear information and have to ask questions how it is substantiated i need on some

over this as you can see there is really two large groups of residents on island one are in the one treasure island organization and the other treasure island. one treasure island unsung hero, you know. is responsible to - and really existing and really, really predictive that and our focus dui advisors for the this slide is information about what we've presented in the past and legacy were on island before june 29th, notifying our role to provide support and help them understand
2:22 am
they're future housing option and transition to transition units. as in lieu of payment if they're interested and help with the down payment assistance and help them understand with the certificate number and resident will move in i'm sorry. i'm talking so quickly i want to acknowledge our team has been trying to respond to our community that is finished speaking and trying to interpret live as we go forward i'll slow down in a minute and down to the island between june 30th be, notifying and december 11, '19 the board had benefits to those populations and offering two advisor support and housing units and if you qualify using
2:23 am
the treasure island number and open housing and the residents after 2019 and have information about housing on said island have a lot of information we're sharing with them and folder we don't have much but we are everything to focus on that group and get information about housing available and including the affordable housing and other market-rate housing. >> so we've talked about star view court i don't know if we reiterate that but excited our mission in 12 probation officers to engage the community and a lot of interesting folks we're glad about that and one of the things we want to talk about and i'm i'm sure you have screens

volunteer transition unit period this summer so people can tell us about their interest in star view court. this is more information about our timeline. just really our goal to get people interested in the as we sit here and let us know before the interest to match at the for transition units on island. at star view court want to get people interested this housing units and if they qualify and until september 1st and hope to match people and then hoping we can have everyone go to star view court beginning in june of 2021 and this is information about housing to come. we're excited about the star view court and hopping kinds pat will have inclusionary black or white represent and have people coming up with 07 condominiums for sale

2:33 am
expecting me at certain times sometimes the bus is late and many people will have a problem did he need to be homeless and not have a car and apply for those apartments what solutions can i have? helping some but others are getting upset i can speak for others but friends we are - don't have anything it is expensive and they're changing their mind and we come every time and tell us something different so, now oil confused and concerned about this situation what is coming ahead of us so thank you very much. >> thank you. >> so um, any other on the phone? >> no. >> all right. my name is -

2:36 am
town hall where a conversation about what is going on where people can go talk back and forth and get to know each other and deal with the problems. those are not individual problems that go to ms. ill man we need the transition of housing issue was number 7 on the agenda what didn't show up this is the last part of the entire meeting. >> joe. >> it is what. >> pushing 9:30 what is left. >> you know. so- >> we're going to everything we can still asking for on island meeting can be conversation where it is more structured like a town hall or not restricted by the brown act

2:38 am
critical issue for all residents for families each family is different we can't in a public forum like this answer each of our questions you have to do there the treasure island karen come up i believe we had numerous community meetings to talk about the option that they are - and also that some other meetings that are coming up; is that right? >> i think the best thing have a one by one conversation with the advisors you can talk your particular family issue. >> okay. >> we are really happy to make time to meet with the community but as you as a one-on-one to describe your personal situation
2:39 am
we're trying to help an individual plan and their opportunity on island so we're excited about being able to spend a lot of time with the summer doing that and also having drop in sessions which came back helpful to people don't have time to schedule an event and have - the court openhouse event on a thursday night in july on the 13 and again, on a saturday morning the same program we can reach as many people as possible and at the event to make sure we have english and spanish speakers and additional languages have them available for interprets and translators we have materials and spend a lot of our day giving information about the attendance in the back and courage you to stop but for information and have that on
2:40 am
hand but our goal to help people to understand individually what that means to them. >> so they there are many ways to get information not just in session call the team an individual appointment and i think information that is available so, please, please take advantage of of that. >> thank you. >> open up to the directors. >> yeah. i want to reiterate that this is um, really important ti advisors have the eligibility what people are eligible for the island i know that eligibility was created a few years ago so you need - role home really important um, to connect karen her team use
2:41 am
that number the e-mail and find out what you're eligible for the you do that and still don't know then there is a real problem that is what i can't understand we - this is my third meeting he heard the same thing over and over and met with staff to understand this it is ev i'm frustrated because i'm hearing from you all that you go i don't know would you're eligible for i don't know what is available and yet there is a team that is there designed being contracted by the city to do this work so, yeah so i 8 courage you and then - yeah letting know and you still don't know after you contract them still in the dark i really want to know if that's the case i put that on, on the folks we heard from a few times

now. >> all right. >> i'm sorry. >> i'm going to- >> (multiple voices). >> linda. >> i'm just thank you, director howard i want to piggyback please listen? >> i tida has investment millions of dollars for information and the begging the question that every retained of treasure island we're still hearing that and you're right director howard the few commissioner here we hearing basic questions which one has the household she says she's informs quality because income household make more than the requirement but didn't have
2:43 am
enough for market-rate. what - how long will that take for the answers to this kind of family? >> you know. for me the frustration here. we can have multiple town hall meetings with our advisors not bound by should can have multiple-generational town halls and stand up and this is my situation i know that other residents that have the same commission so what is the universe we have 1,000 plus every receipt of treasure island should know where they sit. and in order for them to plan and for the families and in other
2:44 am
issues that we have tida will try to address them but maybe issues we have to take to the city and county of san francisco because the residents of treasure island are also san francisco residents we know that the city has been addressing those issues a long term we want to say here we need to get to the bottom of this and need to really get to the bottom i like to see the data what who is talked to to o so when they show up we can see following week we'll have to do that next time we have a meeting at city hall let's hope all those basic questions are not corporal and do something dramatic about
2:45 am
that. thank you. >> (clapping.) >> go ahead. >> go ahead. >> i'm hearing three things i'm hearing the information is available and i'm hearing there is a disconnect in how the information is being communicated to the different groups. the main thing i'm hearing that traditionally how you do our outreach is not working on island i think that is worth victorville a different solutions a different, you know. thinking there is thinking outside the box and given the killer out of circle but between you and me and ann may we can come together one thing that my years on island outreach is an issue it is the smallest communicated in the community but hardest to reach out we're diverse and we live on an island who else in san francisco lives
2:46 am
on an island you literally live on island we limiting live on an island that is worth vista how we interact on island. and event that was really refreshing, you know. i have not sown you at the a lot of community vent and a good feedback from the consultant at our table. so i think that is worth visiting the relationships and collaboration with the one island groups the ones that live here so we can get the information out specifically so who it needs to get to in a timely manner and practical fashion as well as this is the information that we have he and this is the follow-up information the follow-up timeframe how that applies to everyone specific situation. when i am definitely here and there this can't talked about in those particularly
2:47 am
meetings but the particularly meeting has to be set for those people to be talked about that needs to be a priority amongst everyone not just the ti advisors but the residents you have a responsibility when it comes comes to our house and responsibility to give you the information that pertains to you as that is effects our daily life as resident i understand that we all understand that. but as a resident i under the influence specifically with that. so again, i'm going to offer my services and make the efforts the other thing is the information that is presented specifically for the villages residents. but that leaves questions to how it plays out for the other residents outside of voyages and how that plays into the programs without the options her situation in particular i make two that of
2:48 am
but affordable and not enough for market we can't in the meantime, the person is affordable home ownership where are those programs the other hem? we need to go beyond the help and resources we can give to our residents they can access more if we can't give them what they need so - >> (clapping.) >> thank you. so hearing oh, matt. >> anyway, i certainly wanted to thank her for her work and all the great steps she's done - what
2:49 am
[off mic.] (coughing). >> so a lot of the questions i've heard actually your question that are are supposed to be answered with the dui advisors where the people with coming up and complaining but the gi advisors will be coming up with let me finish please. [off mic.] coming up with answers we're paying a lot of money for those services and i have a lot of respect for [off mic.] ms. elder man the thing is [off mic.] we need those questions [off mic.] >> what's going on here? [off mic.] >> we need [off mic.] we need those
2:50 am
questions answered [off mic.] >> (woman yelling). >> (woman yelling in spanish). >> just a second. >> okay. >> yes. >> so but i guess the bottom line i'm trying to say iso questions come up people that we have hired to answer those questions and theirs clearly not answered so i'm asking for the staff, for ms. elder man so get answers to everyone this is noting been going on a long, long time and going on too long we need people need to know what
2:51 am
their future looks like. >> i understand i live on island myself and have questions that are not getting answered so, you know. i do definitely understand i'm more anger this shouldn't be a situation but should have been done a long time ago to every most o month let's get and report and the exact numbers of people and respond. >> thank you, mark. >> any other comments? >> you hearing no one can we go to the next item, please. >> item 12. >> 12. electrical system update. >> so who is presenting on this. >> so we do i mentioned earlier that we had a new switchgear installed on island and that is
2:52 am
intended to support the new infrastructure but had benefits for the existing island infrastructure electrical infrastructure as well as. but in addition to working on the new system over the last several years a number of investment that have been made in the existing system to try to improve reliability of the system. the public public utilities commission makes sense and operates this system on our above and wanted to welcome ramona from the puc to describe a few of the improvement made and the efforts have been undertaken in the last few years. >> restraining order money the
2:53 am
puc was a contract for tida and had fixing things and we'll identify them i don't know if you noticed i know you're having electrical issues but the outlets are shorter and are still having problems but the improvements with the operation and maintenance i believe that is working we still have a long way to go but doing everything we can that to identify the problems and make them better and that means with the respect of the polls. i'm role here to answer any questions that i may answer so i'm inviting questions. >> thank you. >> thank you for coming and has been a long night we are going to open up for public
2:54 am
comment and then open up to the directors. >> okay. >> i want to know is everyone working on island are they using? >> that's my question [off mic.] >> so the question was for whether or not points workers working on the electrical units yes, they are they are part of local 6. >> thank you. >> so hearing no one comments or questions open up to the board. >> i'm sorry anything further comments. >> no, i have a quick question and the gentleman with the wine operation because talking about
2:55 am
weird little powered dips and rise and something we wouldn't notice but obviously people need to technical protection. >> yes. >> thank you for bringing that up. >> we read his report and did look at everything that is happening not just in the island but you outside of island as well. so the big things see he or we can explain the outage during the storm and the voltage is the big expense we reach five hundred out to the club and have the substation on island we found out that is the substation responds to - spacing that resulted in the - (unintelligible) with the corresponded to this happening substation at the port of oakland and communicating with
2:56 am
them trying to figure out what is going on and anything we can do communication here with the power we're finding the source we can't explain but what is happening on island but we're outside of electrical system so is the property on city island. is that helps. >> good answer. hoping - >> yeah. we checked all the things we installed and reported with the managers the reporter and downloaded everything so see if anything that happening but fortunately what the reporter got the time and down to the second (unintelligible) widely reported we have to look at
2:57 am
that. >> and may take a while will not happen overnight. >> thank you very much. any other questions or comments? >> hearing no one can we go to the next item, please. >>. thank you very much. >> thank you. >> thank you, very much. >> item thirteen is discussion of future agenda items by the directors. >> directors. >> go ahead. >> i mentioned the same thing i think that we wanted a report or some agenda item on the lbe's and kind of the data in the transparent on that and love to have that on the next agenda or a way to get the information ahead of time. i'm not satisfied with the puc in the last few minutes we have had the puc actually give us information on whon is going on and love to see that the puc to schedule enough
2:58 am
time to do that and third one is again, if we can have a regular agenda item on the parks we could get ideas and again, the transition housing i think we have that on the agenda it is important and that's it. thank you very much. >> that covers a grateful of the issues and yo mark. >> numbers numbers numbers of it's received and answers that is acceptable what is achieved and was hear that every last number of meetings the only woo to have a solution is to have numbers and they are correct. >> we said earlier forcy housing and really, really
2:59 am
wanted to know the with regards to rent i'd like to have that the only other question i have through the chair and director, you know. beck but mercy housing and john stuart really, really want them to tell us the conditions of residents in regards to rent and eviction in any and to get to the bottom of all the questions. thank you. >> la shawn. i'd like to follow-up i brought it up last time about the the daycare on island want to see the numbers and staff also like to reiterate lending my help to the ar w s and tida to coordinate and
3:00 am
suggest the u.s. department of housing and urban development definitely be here at the next meeting to answer or help to translate this information and how it better suits who that pertains to and also like to suggest that we bring up the discussion for another on island meeting as quickly as possible we needed to hash out those problems not problems but concerns i'll say at home. so - >> i think that, yes there be another on island meeting they'll have that in probable the fall and we'll schedule that shortly but those are not those items and on the agenda today and have another agenda for the
