team for pushing grant opportunity and john way who wrote the grant application and ushered it through to success. chair mogannam, we had an incident about 3 a.m. on september 30. one of our laborers was attack by a man who hit him with a skate board. our worker fell and hit his head on the brick walk way. taken to the hospital and released later that morning with a swollen eye and bumps and bruises off work for a week and a half and he is doing well in the recovery from his injuries. i wanted highlight the heroic efforts of his supervisor who happened to be driving by as the attack was happening and he pulled over immediately. jumped out of his truck and rushed his aid using his roto

alert dispatch to call the lease police. he shouted to the suspect to alert him the police were called the suspect did not back down and turned wrath on antonio and shoved him. he was able to detain the suspect and hold him until officers arrive they did in the take the suspect at the time we are working with chief scott and the team to follow up. we want to make sure he is brought to justice for the assault on 2 employees while they were working. after this, we put a new policy in place street cleaners over night work in per ses ask only work in areas with elevated and street behavior change when is sfpd is present it protect them. our crews have an important job we want them safe >> lastly, i wanted let you know we had a good love our city

works thank you for your time. and this is an update of the staff measures for building repair and start with building repair and later with street repair. most of the data is on 4 fiscal year ending is the summary of multiple years of data. what this is showing us is this for fiscal year included what we have available for fiscal 24. 23 and 24 and highlight fiscal 23. and results. for fiscal 23, we have about 3,000 corrected on projects received for building repair. this is significant increase from prior years getting close to what happened during 2020.

discuss [inaudible]. sure. were there questions on the building repair performance measurements? if we can continue we may have questions at the end. thank you for prioritizing and rushing over. >> again sorry for you the confusion. so annual count of pothole service orders within 3 business days the current goals for filling potholes from 311 is we have 72 hours which they were reported to complete 90% of all potholes within 72 hours. and you can see -- that -- according to this we are -- this fiscal year at 91% we have consistent low out performed the 90% for many, many years.

i will say that i just made aware this month that the calculation for wing days has been changed. so this might reflect a little different low in future percentages. but you in this we are aware, we are -- staffing accordingly and prioritizing accordingly. thank you. and pothole repairs. as you remember -- last fiscal year was wet and rainy season. so you could see that there was a significant can increase. it is over 30% increase in pothole repairs done last fiscal year. and -- again we did meet the goal last physical year to exceed that 90% within 72 hours they mentioned this . ier it has been since july we are counting

under 2,000. the projections are another wet winter. and i just e mailed getting sand bags because there was a rush on sand bags left year. we are plan to make sure we have sand bags in with that. also plenty of materials. we will continue to staff up for pothole repairs if there is indeed heavy rains that are expects. this is showing the response from the pothole crew. so -- probably a year and a half ago. we create third degree pothole sweep crew. one crew they rotate throughout the districts. and every month they go from one district to the next.

they are only travelling residential streets and small commercial streets not on the business streets the idea here is to get the potholes before they become larger. but also it is a small crew we don't have enough staff to put up traffic detours. you can see that with the proactive sweep. i third done in august are you see in july they have done more. the course of the year we are finding the pothole sweep crew is doing between 25 and 30. fashl low because they are able to go in quickly and take care of them and get out and

traveling down the entire street. so as they encounter them they are able to fill them. more efficient butt ever trues have list they are going throughout the city and not efficient. block paving. you see that last fiscal year we paved 122 blocks the goal was 120 blocks we exceeded that. this fiscal year showing 18 blocks the counsel is 26 as of last week. and -- just -- so you are aware and i know we have been in discussions with this. there has been the enforcement of a policy existed where as we resurface or over laying street. we have to reference monuments.

>> the idea with the street sweeping program is to get the leaves and the debris off the ground. >> we -- for not only appearance and cleanliness but safety as well. >> we will get anywhere from 2- 7,000 pounds per truck depending on the season and the route. the street sweeper and the choice of the use right now is an error sweeper. they have a motor in the back and it blows winds down one side and carried by air into the hopper. what will mess this up is new -- large pieces of cardboard or sticks or coat hangers. anything that is more than 12 inches. the tube on the tracks is only 12-inch diameter. >> people asked what they can do to help to keep the city clean. there are people that letter. leaves are one thing.

[♪♪♪] >> one cars parked in the way, we can't sweep under the congress. to deal with this, we have parking control officers that are provided by m.t.a. and they go in front of our sweepers and pass out citations to people that are parking the wrong way. once the sweepers sweep past in san francisco, you may park behind the street sweeper. we all know parking is a big issue. north beach hasn't been swept since the eighties because of opposition. but we are getting a lot of requests to sweep. basically our trucks are 10 feet wide. we stick the brooms out and they are may be 12 feet wide. >> there are a lot of blind spots when driving a large truck pedestrians and bicyclists and

cars. and navigates this 22,000-pound truck through the city. >> we involve the public here -- to adhere to traffic laws. these routes were developed back in the eighties around the capability of the sweeper. things have changed since then so we have to adapt. luckily, public works is embracing technology and working on a system to alter our maps. this is literally cut and paste -- cut and paste. we will have a computer program soon that will be able to alter the maps and be updated instantly. we will have tablets in the checks for all of the maps. we will send a broom wherever it needs to go and he has the information he needs to complete the safety. what is needed about these tablets as they will have a g.p.s. on it so we know where they're at. you do get confused driving along, especially the inner sunset. recall that to the be made a triangle.

instructors in our programs and engineer in our studios here. we have conferences we do all overnight country and we have concerts that we feature bay area women and gender artists. class i was ashamed i did not have the answer being a feminist. why have i never thought of this i have been in the industry for decades and why have i accept today of all people. it was out of that and unraffling it. actually started the infernship last fall and just fell in love with all the things about women's oshg mission because we are diverse and so many aspects of audio i did not know and i feel like eyes opened up and i gained a lot of confidence in myself and other fells and queer people in the industry i felt there was more connection and community. ironically my time in the industry is all pretty good. i think what happened is i was raised by a father who is an engineer. i was comfortable being strounlded by men all the time in his lab i was used to technology. when i got in industry my mentors were men and i saw i had a unique importance that got mow in the place i could be fluent and navigate something difficult and it was the norm for me. what if it was not woman was createed provide it for everybody. have this environment you are surrounded by technology and people that are going to support you and get you in this industry in a good way. i have been interested in audio i was never trained in music took piano when i was a kid. i never pursued it because not a lot of women doing that. and my family is not musically inclined. when i want to davis the first

time i took a music class there were few females in the class. like a rodey for my dayed was load you will the mixers and monitors and the giant speakers and gigs and help run out the cables and take things down and set up mics i did all of that growing up and never occurred to mow that that was a field they could at all. and then one i could pursue i didn't nobody else was doing temperature my dad and then i go with him to studios and see -- the men in the studio. dj for 5 years now and comments you get like wow you are a girl dj that is crazy. that is wild. and i have great moments where it does not happen.

and they treat me like easy. telling mow what to do they correct mow in ways that make me feel less i sprjs the opposite and i notice hand's on like you don't know what you are doing rather than asking me. not consistent times it happens. it is like when i talk to other females they are like say the same things it is like funny i know that nice men don't experience tht main thing triggers me when i experience different treatment and that happens a lot in the audio world. industry is changing slowly. there is still that issue making the places that are places belonging for everybody. i don't think so. having a studio where it is not all run by white men like most

studios. the studios are only in the word built and run by women. it has been super normalize thered are opportunity for girls and nonbinary people. you go in school and middle and high schoolers know that this is a field. this is a thing there are many jobs you can have in this field. some producing pod casts to setting up live shows. there are so many things you can do >> wee go in and teach the audio skills and give them equipment. i pads and then teach them how to make music and they get to come in here and will getting the tools to people who don't have t. that is really important to me. that's why i was like wow. i want to be there for other fell and queer people who don't have the opportunity and also to be a mentor for them to really push them to experiment and not
