clerk, would you please call item one is a resolution approving the official naming for two street segments within the hunter's view. hope sf infrastructure phase three project approving memory lane as the official street name for the yet to be constructed unnamed street that starts at the intersection of catalina street and middle point road on the north and ends at the southerly terminus where it rejoins middle point road and continue the street name of fairfax avenue from the unbuilt segment at the intersection with middle point road to its eastern terminus at memory lane. thank you so much. and before we hear from lee with the presentation, i just want to state that we wanted to do something to make sure that we honor the memory of folks in the community, and we wantede that there was a process where community provided input. and so the street name, memory lane was chosen by residents in hunter's view, working with mchd. and so
10:04 am
i just want to make sure everyone knows that this is something that went through a process, and the main focus is to honor the memory and legacy of so many folks from the hunter's view area that fought to make sure that there were improvements in the community. and with that, i know we have a presentation. thank you. good morning. good morning, chair walton. good morning, supervisor ronen, thank you for your time today as we talk about naming these new street improvements. in hunter's view, do we have the slides ready? can we have the computer display please. thank you. fantastic.ou. so much. next slide please. as a refresher, hope s.f. was created under then mayor gavin newsom's administration in response to diminishing federal funding for san francisco's largest and most neglected public housing sites, namely alice griffith, hunter's view, sunnydale and potrero. hope sf represents a continuing commitment by the city to achieve reparations for the
10:05 am
insidious impacts of past and ongoing trauma, systemic and institutional racism, and deep and persistent poverty. chronic disinvestment by the city in these sites over many decades had resulted in a neighborhood disconnected from the larger city grid. to restore basic necessities and public benefits to hope, s.f. communities, we have come before you today to name new street segments as part of our continuing commitment to the hunter's view community. at this point, i'd like to welcome my colleague cindy, heaven's most senior project manager for this site, to go into more detail. good morning. supervisor ronen and supervisor walton. hunter's view project is an existing public housing project that contained 2267 public housing units scattered across 51 buildings on approximately 16 acres. the street grid and city services were unconnected to the city, and no open space was on the site, and there was no resident services. once the
10:06 am
revitalization of hunter's view hope sf is completed, all the public housing will be replaced and the replacement will be exactly one unit type to one unit type and that's unique for this project for hope sf, there will be additional affordable housing and market rate units. street grid and city services will be connected to the city system. there will be three new parks within the revitalization, and there's a park in each phase which you'll see on a different map and on the map before you. the orange represents the affordable housing and the yellow represents market rate. complete, and all the affordable housing with the public housing replacement has been completed and is in phase one and two. next slide. we're here today to talk about hunter's viewthe thid infrastructure. and the third, third or fifth affordable housing building. the infrastructure began 2022, and the affordable housing
10:07 am
began in fall of 2023. hunter's view phase three vertical, which is the building beforen 118 unig two buildings. the buildings will contain 53 public housing replacement units and will have a project based voucher as an operating subsidy. there will be 64 units without an operating subsidy. there will be property management offices, community rooms and office for resident service provider, which is the bay view ymca, a learning center and a acre park will be constructed in phase three, and the infrastructure will also, as with the other sites, include new roads, sidewalks and utilities. the affordable housing anticipates receiving its temporary certificate of occupancyn february march of 2025. and this brings us to the legislation today. next slide. so legislation filed 241044 is a
10:08 am
request, as mentioned by supervisor walton, to name the new street memory lane and an existing street, fairfax avenue, into the new phase three. next slide you'll see on the map that the new street is the main one, labeled street one, and that will be memory lane, which is a new street. and the continuing street is street two, which is fairfax avenue. when the final map was recorded, the two streets were unnamed, and this allowed the residents of hunter's view to work with john stewart and all of the residents to come up with new names for the streets. it was agreed upon to continue fairfax avenue, sincehrough phase one and two, so it leads to a continuous continue continuation of phase one and two as the total revitalization. so from a list of names that were created back in 2010 when the map was
10:09 am
initial map for the large site was recorded. john stewart and the residents picked from those names and whittled it 3 to 5, ar over the fall of 2023, all through 2025, conducted an online survey as well as door to door knocking ah the residents. and the residents came up with memory lane. and as supervisor walton said, it's to remember people who worked very hard and supported hope sf as well as we're stewards of hope sf as well as people who once lived at the property or no and no longer do or may have passed away. so the residents selected memory lane and to celebrate all oed. e lived at hunter's view. next slide. so i, along with well, we had invited the resident council members, but they can't make it. they both have jobs, but they did support and they met with the supervisor in september. and
10:10 am
so i'm here, jason is here, catherine stewart with the john stewart company, who is the developer of hunter's view hope sf as well as two staff members who are on the infrastructure task force, are here to answer any questions. we request this to be approved because the temporary certificate of occupancy will be expected to be received in february march, and it's vital for residents to be able to move in and not only move in, but receive their mail. so this is a part of a continuing process to keep things moving. thank you. thank you so much and thank you for the presentation. i don't see anything from my colleagues. so mr. clerk, will you call for members of the public who wish to speak on this item■ should line up to speak at this time. each speaker will be allowed two minutes. there will be a soft chime when you h■"ave 30s left d a louder chime when your time has expired. are there any members of the public who would like to provide public comment?
