This is an action documentary, following a young team on their nationwide investigation of the current problems with our voting systems and elections procedures. Fast-paced and engaging, this documentary reveals the shocking story of how touchscreen voting systems are highly susceptible to hacking and how these systems are being implemented across the country without the proper checks and balances to insure accuracy and accountability. Is this movie a copy?
I recently followed a link to www.votergate.tv and watched their documentary on the issues with the various electronic voting machines used during recent
...
elections. I noticed that they said to make sure that you always go to www.votergate.tv, and that "There is even one group using our name and misappropriated footage from our film." Curious, I did a quick check of domains using the Votergate name and finally reached votergate.org, a seemingly much darker site. I watched some of the movie that THEY had, and it seemed very similar in theme and message, though with perhaps slightly lower production values. It had a LOT of the same footage The issue remains, however. I think this movie may be a duplicate. I would encourage people to check http://www.archive.org/movies/details-db.php?collection=election_2004&collectionid=VotergateTheMovie for what I believe is a much better version. That said, it may just be coincidence that they chose the same name.
