and anthony sadler and a british businessman were thanked for their courage. they made a split-second decision to stop a gunman. >> it was do something or die. >> reporter: stone showing a lack of regard for his own life sprang into action. >> we hit the ground. alek came up and grabbed the gun out of his hand while i put him in a chokehold. it seemed like he kept pulling more weapons left and right. >> reporter: the gunman neverly severed stoep's happened with a box cutter. that didn't stop him from giving first aid to the british businessman who had been shot. the gunman was identified as a ayoub el khazzani. a lawyer for el khazzani says he's not a terrorist, but a home lest man. reena

they made the threat last week on social media. the men were barred from entering the event. police then searched their car and found a cache of weapons. more fallout from the cyber attack on the cheating website ashley madison. two canadian law firms filed a class-action suit against the website. former users are angry that their information was not protected. some paid extra fees to make sure their data was removed. a top prosecutor in florida says he was a member of the site. jeff ashton gained national attention when he was part of the casey anthony case. he says joining was a stupid decision but he did nothing criminal.
