some of the people on board were older. none of the injuries is considered serious. one of the people who helped get people out of that bus spoke with us just a short while ago. >> i thought there was a medical emergency with him. the traffic was flowing nice going down. no cars cut him off or nothing and all the sudden he plows right into the building. >> reporter: again, five people were hurt. a sixth person inside that building was hurt. a resort casino's bus, the fire department, police department still investigating how this happened, whether the driver fell asleep, whether he had a medical emergency, exactly what happened that made him veer the bus straight into that building. it was loud, it was violent. a lot of people on the street. fortunately nobody on the street right in front of where it happened. there were no injuries from the street at all. a wild, wild day here. now

>> right now we're learning that stocks are volatile even though they haven't been for the past 5 or 6 years. >> within the first 4 minutes after the opening bell the dow a continuation of the market slide from last week. >> people start to get a little bit panicy. thing they shouldn't do. >> the s&p 500 and nasdaq also dropped. investors remember advice of warren buffet. >> be fearful when people are grateful. >> there is heightened concern over a slow down in china that has had an effect on markets around the world and leaving investors unsure of how to gauge which companies might be a good investment. >> if that economy slowing down there's producers that sell to china that will effect the stock prices of those company.

a man died after a beating. now police are asking for the public to help find the suspects. the men in these pictures beat 38-year-old michael brown. it happened saturday in the crown heights section. mr. brown went home after wards, called paramedics later in the day and was taken to the hospital and died. the man accused of an inappropriate relationship with the teenage daughter of rosie o'donnell facing a judge in new jersey today. 25-year-old steven sheerer charged with child endangerment and obscene material sent to a minor. chelsea o'donnell was found at sheerer's home after disappearing for a week. the democratic side of the presidential case could become more interesting. vice president biden is considering challenges hilary clinton for the democratic primary. who would get president obama's support. here's dave evans with more.

new information about that deadly small plane crash on lirr track. and air traffic controller advised him to land his plane on a landing strip at an airport that no longer exists. >> a desperate suggestion but could the outcome have been different. kristen thorn is at the accident scene. kristen. >> reporter: well , bill and liz, any aviation expert will tell you the ultimate decision about where to land a plane during an emergency landing that decision rest with the high lot. this is where the plane came down. >> the ntsb today released its preliminary report on the crash. they found what we heard on radio transmissions. air

traffic control advise inging joseph milo. >> according to the report the next transmissions say that milo told the controller he was unable to see the runway but the controller according to investigators continued to provide milo directions to get there. >> the pilot in command is ultimately responsible, account for the safe complex of every flight. >> michael canders is an associate professor at the aviation center. he said air traffic control is only a guide for the pilot. the final decision of where to bring down the plane rests with the pilot. >> you have no idea what was happening in that cockpit, no finger pointing, no blame to the pilot. you don't know exactly what he was dealing with, his passenger will be able to tell the ntsb what he saw. >> the surviving passenger has told investigators he heard a popping sound just before the engine failed. the plane began

to sputter and then completely lost power. some aviation experts said it's concerning that air traffic control wasn't aware that the runway in beth page no longer exists. >> i think it's going to be a reprimand, a letter down to all controllers to revisit all of the local areas that you're responsible for, what are the airports that are available, don't go on your childhood memory of an airport that used to be there. >> reporter: we reached out to the faa about the air traffic controller. they said they do not comment on open investigations. we're live in beth page, kristen thorn, channel 7, eyewitness news. >> thank you. two male teach ers on long island are using their female superior of sexual harassment. they filed a formal complaint against 51-year-old cecilia sanisan. they said she used her position to harass male staffers.

so while most of the area is quiet at 7:00 all bets are off after midnight. a few of those after midnight. we watch connecticut, long island , maybe even into new york city. the front slowly limps offshore. it's making progress. some downpours are weakening. seems like there's not as much support for these storms as they get closer. a big thunderstorm weakening as it approaching philly. we like to see that die out before it gets closer to philly and interrupts the mets game against the phillies. if you look at the future cast these thunderstorms will be well west through the first part of the night. after midnight into the early wee hours of the morning we see scattered thunderstorms and showers around. you have a low here and

a low here and in between little wiggle room. the fronts just getting far enough so we get a nice day later tomorrow into we wednesday. the storms through let's say early afternoon tomorrow, 86 and then drier an delightful into wednesday. the remanence of danny over the leeward islands. it's going to track across the virgin islands towards puerto rico. this will give beneficial rains. this storm is looking more impressive and could become erica later. over the next five days we'll watch that closely. here's your accuweather forecast. the clouds will be rolling in over night tonight. there will be a few storms around. you may see one of those tomorrow morning. that threat will probably go through early afternoon and then the drier air will come in around this time tomorrow and it will turn super comfortable tomorrow night and then my work is done for the week.
