automatic first down. >> chris: that's meadors. >> kirk: yeah, this is his last option here. he just gets it out and, boy, what a perfect hit, but i love the awareness by the quarterback, dawkins. >> chris: that's good fielding on the hop there. >> kirk: sure was. looked like a shortstop. >> chris: first and goal at the 3 after the penalty. high snap. and handle it straight ahead. and get stopped short is baker. >> kirk: some pride on the line here in this goal line stand. >> chris: that will rodriguez's observation be? concerned about solomon. >> kirk: oh, yeah. >> chris: there's a touchdown run by baker. small consolation. >> kirk: i think the biggest thing he's going to be
11:31 pm
frustrated about is the team and the way they self-destructed. they helped ucla. you're at home against a very talented team, you can't have the miscues that they had and it was at the early part of this game. remember when they came out in the second half, defensively, they played with a little bit of an edge to them. we didn't see any of that in the first half and it was because of the way the game started.
11:32 pm
tucson. >> chris: espn has the trojans/sun devils game going right now. after that, "sportscenter" will have you covered. "sportscenter" on espn after usc and arizona state. ucla had lost four in a row, kirk, here in tucson until the last visit, in 2013 and that began this streak, winning what will be now 12 games in a row away from the rose bowl, which includes nine true road games. so, it all began here in 2013. the allstate college football rankings coming in. how do you rate the buckeyes performance over western? >> kirk: they are still trying to find themselves offensively. michigan state did okay today. ole miss had a scare. this game was probably the game of the dame with texas tech and tcu.
11:33 pm
notre dame started slow and just pulled away big. and then, you know, with what lsu did, they got a little bit of a push from syracuse and ucla, one of the more impressive performances of the day as far as the top ten's concerned. >> chris: it can be tough to win in lubbock. its a wound up environment there. but tcu with all the defensive guys out, does their ranking suffer by needing a desperation touchdown to win? >> kirk: i don't think so. it's one thing for the committee to sit there, when you are splitting hairs between this team at three or four or five, you look at that, but i -- you know, they went on the road in lubbock and took a great shot, even though it took a tipped pass, they won the game. they found a way to win in a shootout. and how many -- they had, like, six, seven starters on the defensive side of the ball out. so, that -- even though it didn't look pretty, that's still a good win for tcu, just to find a way to get it done. >> chris: and a very satisfying win for the bruins.
11:34 pm
and his first conference game, by far his toughest road game, gets a lot of help from the big guys up front and perkins. arizona moments down early and often in the first half and the bruins win it by 26. >> kirk: i'll just say this. if josh rosen can continue to grow and continue to keep things in perspective and being respectful of his position that he's in as a young player with his experienced teammates around him, this is going to be a tough team to beat. for anybody in the pac-12, because they brought back 20 starters this year. the only question was the quarterback. and we saw last week, he made some mistakes, obviously grew from that and if he continues to grow, these bruins, as i said, they're going to be a tough team for anybody to play with in the pac-12. >> chris: basically over at halftime as the bruins coast back home with another victory on the road. 56-30, the final. next saturday at 8:00 on abc, we'll be in clemson, as the
