good news. american drivers continue to get a break at the gas pump. the national average now $2.20. prices dropped nine cents over the past week. since february, falling 55 cents. aaa predicting the national average dropping below $2 by new year's. and a new strategy in place at american airlines. a more no-frills approach. starting next year, american says it will offer tickets with less frills and cheap prices where it competes on nonstop flights with discount carriers. american says it can't go away from that side of the business. it was a dreadful weekend for new movies at the box office. that meant holdovers toork up to top three spots.
