the ghost busters building the jackie o. reservoir over to fifth avenue. the metropolitan museum of art. all a good day for a walk across cp and over to the east and sunny. it is just much cooler than you just need the fall gear that's all. temperature is 47 degrees. yesterday, i mean this is close temperature should be for this about 53. so that's usually about 3:00 we hit that temperature. so it's dry. the wind is northeast and the pressure is way up there. so we have strong high pressure that is over us. it's 46 from north port to massapequa to hauppauge. and out to east hampton it's 49. so these numbers are very fall- like. very normal for right now this hour at this time of day the time of the year, we have a 6- mile an hour wind at white plains coming in off long island sound and the northeast 10-mile an hour wind down the shore and clear skies. so we go back to the ohio valley and some of the upper level winds will shear off some of these clouds. but the rain really comes in as we go toward thursday.
12:46 pm
then it might be a sprinkle tomorrow late in the day. particularly up to our north and west. by 2:00 you see it gets cloudy tomorrow but the air mass is warm. so that could kick off a sprinkle but then the front itself comes through thursday and you see starting around 10:00, hudson river valley getting the rain and noontime afternoon. everybody is in the heavy rain for the evening commute tomorrow and into tomorrow night. and then tomorrow evening after sunset, you know and into midnight we see this leaving the area and after midnight, it's gone from the twin forks and out into the atlantic and then we're off to a nice fall weekend. but will be mostly cloudy tomorrow at 58. and maybe a sprinkle because of this warm air surging up and then here comes the front and as the front moves through, we'll have some nice weather for friday. but a reinforcing shot of cold air is going to come in late sunday and that cold air is what's going to give us our first jolt of cold air for the season. hard freeze sunday night into monday. 40s next week is going to feel like thanksgiving. cooler with sunshine for the rest of this afternoon. breezy right along the compost and patchy clouds tonight 44. 58 tomorrow. is about five degrees warmer than normal.
12:47 pm
but we are looking at that rain coming in on thursday. heaviest will be in the afternoon and at night and could be a couple of inches of rain and where the leaves kind of clog up the catch basins and drainage areas. but then there's sunshine out on friday. and great weather on saturday and 40s as we cool off on sunday. so there you go looking pretty good for saturday. >> yeah. >> i hear rutgers is playing -- >> right. >> ha ha it's going to be great. >> the scarlet knights playing the black knights on saturday. >> it's going to be great. i can't wait. >> be a good game. >> you know what i love doing the whole forecast is that we have the promo for the white lights festival. we're showing blue skies and -- >> come on. >> don't forget the white lights festival is coming up. >> a reminder there. >> winter -- >> when it's dark. that's right. >> in case you forgot. the start of the tradition that helps keep less fortunate new yorkers wash for the holidays.

if you take certain medicines. xarelto can cause serious, and in rare cases, fatal bleeding. get help right away for unexpected bleeding, unusual bruising, or tingling. if you have had spinal anesthesia while on xarelto , watch for back pain or any nerve or muscle related signs or symptoms. do not take xarelto if you have an artificial heart valve or abnormal bleeding. tell your doctor before all planned medical or dental procedures. before starting xarelto , tell your doctor about any kidney, liver, or bleeding problems. you know xarelto is the #1 prescribed blood thinner in its class. that's a big win. it is for me. with xarelto there is no regular blood monitoring and no known dietary restrictions. treatment with xarelto ... ...was the right move for us.
