nothing to be concerned about. we're expecting to hear from him any minute. he'll show up at that podium and when that happens we'll bring it to you. eyewitness news. now to those dramatic and chilling new pictures of the terrorists turning the streets of paris in to killing fields. eyewitness news reporter jim dolan in paris with that story and the latest on a deadly and dramatic search today for terror suspects. >> how frightening is this, it took less than a week after the worst terrorist attack on french soil since world war ii, for the authorities to uncover a heavily armed cell of terrorists ready to strike all over again. they disrupted that cell. they are certain of that. but what we don't know is if they caught the guy they were looking for. >> an your knees you can hear the police shouting in french,

last week we've initiated the first wave of our new critical response command which will grow to 500-plus officers specifically dedicated to antiterrorism activities. these officers who have been assigned in the last months will be specifically trained, equipped, and armed to handle any terrorist threat. and be part of our overall efforts of the nypd to prevent terrorism in coordination with our federal partners. the people of new york city can rest assured that extraordinary efforts are being made every single day to keep them safe. this is the finest police force in this nation. for 14 years since 9/11 this police force has protected this city against terrorist threats and it will continue to do so.

the events of today that have raised concern being quite about that video. new york obviously remains one of the top terrorist targets in the world. that video, our review of it, it looks like has been produced, a mismash of videos, one in august directed against germany, one in october directed against israel, and 19 seconds of about a 5-and-a-half-minute video released today at seas of new york. in new york we understand that we are a terrorist target. it reflects the importance of the city. understanding that the city places great importance on the safety of new yorkers and the almost 16 million visitors who come to the city. as we move in to this time of year of

employees working were arrested for selling drugs, untaxed tobacco products, as well as a host of stolen property. >> i've had my suspicions. but i try to keep as far away from it as possible. >> reporter: an epicenter of problems is how police describe crown fish and chicken, a staple investigators say was a magnet for crime. anonymous tips prompted the health department to send a minor here saturday to buy cigarettes. when police followed up with a raid days later what they uncovered was much more than secret recipes. >> literally thousands and thousands of pieces of drug paraphernalia not only related to marijuana but also crack cocaine. >> reporter: in all detectives recovered over 100 bags of marijuana. in addition to other drug paraphernalia, stolen electronics and 16,000 untaxed tobacco products from out of state. police arrested these

four store employees tuesday who they discovered were undocumented immigrants from bangladesh, along with recovering $20 ,000 in cash. it's a huge bust neighbors say is already making a huge difference in this small community. >> do you see an improvement? >> this is ours. >> every day when i came home from work, usually have to walk in the street just to get by. now i walk down the street, i can walk on the sidewalk. >> of course there's no one on the corner. it's empty. it's quiet. and that's what we need. >> police say this investigation is ongoing and more arrests and charges could be pending. live tonight in new jersey, aj ross, channel 7 eyewitness news. drunk and dangerous. a woman arrest ed after cops say she climbed behind the wheel of a taxi and took off. >> caught on camera. a tour bus out of control, no brakes to bring it to a halt. >> streets are dry for now but the rain is closing in.

new at 11:00, a bizarre story. a woman drunk steals a taxi cab parked in front of an nypd precinct. >> the passenger was out of control and thus began quite a ride in a stolen taxi. >> mapping it all out for us, here's eyewitness news reporter stacey sager. >> reporter: 50-year-old ronald dazier has been driving a cab in new york city for 15 years now, seeing plenty of drunk passengers, but none who have actually tried to steal his cab. according to a criminal complaint, that's exactly what happened after 27-year-old real

companion got in to his cab in the wee hours of friday morning. it all started when he picked up the two women here on washington street and little west they asked to go to 23rd and lex. that's when they got a bit hazy. >> they don't know where they're going. >> reporter: new destination, 21st and 1st. according to ronald, when he stopped here at 21st and first, the two women actually got out of his cab and tried to get in to another taxi until he warned that cabbie they were drunk. then he says it was 51st and first, and you get the picture. in an effort to help them he diverted the trip to the 13th precinct. but just as they got out, tabares got in, stealing the cab. then she was nabbed by police just five blocks up. ronald's bad night didn't end there. >> they throw up twice in my

. last night the mets took down the first place hawks in a last second win over atlanta. tonight they're trying to take that momentum with them on the road and win back-to-back games for the first time this season. the nets were keeping it close in the 1st half. off the inbounds, jefferson the steal. in for the one handed dunk. nets would lead at the break. batum finish would 23 points. hornets up by 4. another good night by thaddeus young. a 3-point game but the hornets would then pull away late. jeremy lin a big reason why. the former knick with a really weird haircut. mine 9 points in the 4th. the nets fall. major league baseball awards got interesting today with the winners of the tightest race revealed for the best pitchers in the league. jake arrieta was a force in the second half of the season. he

finished with an amazing .75 e.r.a. in his final 15 starts as he led chicago to the nlcs. arrieta beat out dodgers co-aces zach greinke and clayton kershaw. in the american league it was dallas keuchel. the astros bearded star had 2.48 e.r.a. all season. enough to easily beat david price who finished in second place in the voting. he may have had surgery just five days ago but ryan fitzpatrick is not expected to miss a beat for the jets who traveled to houston on sunday. gang green's quarterback on the field with the team where he did some throwing but different practice as he does recover from that surgery to repair a torn ligament in his nonthrowing thumb. fitzpatrick is expected to do more work tomorrow as he works his way back to game form but the qb is confident he's going to play on sunday. >> went well and nothing unexpected in there. things are on schedule right now.
