now new york's number one news, channel 7 eyewitness news. new details about the deadly mali hotel massacre, one of the victim social security from our area -- victims is from our area. a mother that grew up and went to college here. but first police on the scene of a gruesome discovery in the bronx. one woman found holding a baby, the other killed, but who's the baby? i'm sade baderinwa. >> the huge question tonight, home. >> eyewitness news report i josh einiger is on the scene with the developing story. >> reporter: detectives and crime scene unit technicians are still here on the scene right now crawling over the horror show found inside the red brick house. each scenario of what could have happened more horrifying than the one before.

primal, it's impossible even to imagine. >> >. i'm like blown back to here that could happen in a house hold. >> reporter: detectives are waiting for the medical examiner to explain the grisly scene in this unassuming house, where two 22-year-old women were fighting. one stabbed and killed the other, and there was one particularly gruesome theory. the suspect murdered the victim, nearly nine months pregnant, then cut the baby out of her body. the speck was holding the baby when police rushed in. >> when the cops arrived the perpetrator tried to claim it was her child, saying she gave birth at the time of the struggle. they were baffled to walk in and see a crime scene like this. >> it looked like they were still working on the victim, and they were trying to do the designated compressions. >> reporter: but there was so impossible to tell what happened before an autopsy.

the baby is healthy and unhurt. cops are questioning the other woman. she was led out in hand cuffs. >> she looked very sad. >> reporter: now the woman in custody is insisting that she is the mother of the baby. police are waiting for tests in the case to see if they prove or disprove that claim, but in either case, there is a newborn baby who's lost a mother. one to murder and the other to a likely life sentence in prison. new at 11:00, a would be rapist on the loose in manhattan, but captured on camera. the man approached a 62-year- old woman this morning in the lobby of her building, and attempted to assault her. she fought back, and cops hope this video identifies him. quite a scene at the world

a man walking in and swinging a samurai sword. customers and workers in shock as the man yelled while waving the weapon. he ended up leaving the storm, then was tackled by police, charged with criminal possession of a weapon and man necessarying. and a terror massacre at a hotel in mali, and one of the victims was from this area. she worked to improve the health of people in underdeveloped country. here's the latest from the news room. >> bill, her loved ones say she was in mali doing what she loved, helping others. she was killed in an attack al qaeda is claiming responsibility for. >> she was an amazing person, she was sweet and kind and gentle, and all she wanted to do was help people.

>> reporter: she's devastated after learning her close high school friends is among the dozens of people killed in a terror attack at a hotel in mali. she grew up in new jersey, graduated from mount olive high school, and earned her undergraduate degree at rutgers, and two columbia in public health and public administration. for the past 15 years she was living in washington but traveled the world going where health was most needed. >> bright, when we went to school she was always the top of the class. >> reporter: a family spokes person asking for prescribe. >> >. i we're devastated by the loss of our wonderful daughter doing the work she loves. we have no further comment at this time, and ask you respect our privacy. >> reporter: she was killed as attackers stormed into the

guns shouting god is great in arabic taking guests and employees hostage. some guests escaped safely, but a deadly stand off began. the hotel was hosting a un delegation, and members oversee military helped move people to safer areas. >> about a dozen american, including chief of mission rescued. we're working to verify the safety and security of us citizens there. >> mali has seen previous activity from extremist branch, and claiming responsibility for this attack, and just last week they sent a quote saying we have no road map to build through the lens we use our values as our compass. that was a community she created to help underserved people. she leaves behind a 9-year-old thank you.

and developing right now, tonight authority in belgium say there is a serious and imminent terror threat against brussels. authorities are warning residents to stay out of public places. it's believed one of the gunman in paris is hiding out in brussels. abc news learned he called friends to help him get back to syria. it was one week ago tonight france was reeling from a series of coordinated standing emergency room error attacks in -- terror attacks in paris. tonight they gather to remember the victims. mourners visit the scenes of each attack leaving flowers, candle, and more. french police now say the woman killed in wednesday's ride did not blow herself up as first reported. it appears she died from gunshot wounds. also the alleged ring leader

was killed in the raid. and a third body of a terror suspect discovered in the rubble of the raid. vile story. a weapon known dentist in manhattan facing drug charge, and most disturbing having videos of child porn. some of the victims are infants. the patients. >> reporter: a predator hiding in plain sight, that's what federal prosecutors are now calling well known dentist dr. john wolf after he was arrested as his office was turned upside down by federal agents in a probe involving meth, and the alleged spread of hiv. a twisted agreement involving meth for dental services is how federal authorities were first tipped off to dr. john wolf. a well known manhattan dentist with dozens of professional accolades.

he was allegedly hiding a cavity of unimaginable secrets. federal authorities raided his office and home friday just before his arrest and first court appearance where prosecutors detailed the case. according to the criminal complaint, a drug dealer turned federal informant exchanged meth for free dental work, and witnessed him use the drugs along with some employees. he claims wolf also used the office to view and share child porn, some showing toddlers raped by men. wolf also allegedly confided that he's hiv positive, and has unprotected sex, and punctures holes in condoms to spread the virus to others. wolf also allegedly bragged about drugging and sexually assaulting, a man, and described being active in underground sex parties with animals, and he hosted a sex party in the basement of his dentist office, and now behind bars facing a slew of charges.

cops nearby in a parking lot, and made the bogus call about an assault so the officers would get called away. she was arrested after posting messages about the prank online. the e coli outbreak effecting chipotle restaurants have hit new york, but they haven't said what part of state is effected. six states have seen cases so far. 45 people effected, and 42p of them eating at the restaurant the week before getting sick. and the dangers of distracted walking after a string of serious accidents at train crossings. police in oregon releasing videos of pedestrians not paying attention coming within inches of getting struck by trains at crossings. last week three pedestrians were hit by trains.
