from a couple hours ago when the mall was empty as police, canine and bomb squad units performed a thorough search of this property. alarming message i believe side a lower level bathroom prompted the evacuation riverside around 1:00 this afternoon. this is video of police blocking off the perimeter as they swept the interior from top to bottom. a security officer noticed suspicious graffiti inside a bathroom that suggested a bomb threat. they decided to quickly evacuate everyone inside. the bomb squad unit and canine units were rushed in as mall patrons and workers were forced to the edge of the property. we spoke to some of the people inside who were told to leave. they said aside from it being crowded, most people were calm during the evacuation.

that is typical of a high temperature on april 30th or early october. we are talking spring and midfall. that is what it's middelves 66 a was the high in the park. 66 newark. a record at islip. 68 degrees there. 61 a record at bridgeport, connecticut. unbelievable levels of warmth, especially south of new york city. you actually got into the low 70s in places like belmar and toms river. low 60s on the east end of the island at montauk and low 60s north and west of new york city where we should be in the upper 30s and low 40s this time of year with a developing snow back in the catskills and the poconos. not the case this season. temperatures have tailed off a little bit. you are 57 down the shore in belmar. temperatures have fallen into the upper 40s toward monticello. the next search hours,

against two syrian citizens arrested yesterday after a vehicle containing traces of explosives was found in the arrests come after authorities heightened security in geneva thursday and said police were searching for four suspects adding alleged -- allegedly linked to islamic state and launching an attack. the two suspects arrested have not been clearly linked to the four wanted men. caught on camera, the moments before a gun fight that ended with police shooting a suspect in brooklyn. security cameras recorded several people attacking a man last night. two people chased the man across the street. several shots were fired. one man was a worker described the scene. >> i heard some gunshots, like four or five. after that i see one person and i go outside.

shot a suspect in the shoulder. both injured men were taken to the hospital. one person has been arrested. police say they recovered a nine millimeter semi-automatic handgun at the scene. they hope to have a section of first avenue that is a feeder roadway to the 59th monday morning's rush hour. crews are working around the clock to remove the remaining brakes by one by at first avenue between 61st and 64th streets has been closed since monday which breaks came off the facade at 63rd. fortunately no one was hurt. it seems the nypd is getting their wish from santa- con revellers during the annual rite. hundreds kicked off the festivities in williamsburg before heading to bars in brooklyn and lower manhattan. thy don't understand why santa- con got a bad wrap when hits eye about coming together and having fun.

heavy rains in the north west left a house on the edge of disaster. the deluge sparked a landslide in mercer island, washington. it sent trees and mud down a steep slope. the homeowners had no idea of a of the danger until until -- of

this is after getting up to 66 during the afternoon. getting down to 55 for the morning low. let's put it in perspective. the normal high for december the 12th is 44. we were a full 22 above that. not quite, though, the record of 68 in the city. ment that was set in 1931 as i showed you a while ago, though, a lot of other reporting stations in the area did get records, sun setting at 4:28. highs in the low 70s in places like belmar and toms river. islip got a record at 68. low 60s the record at bridgeport. patchy fog developing late tonight into tomorrow morning. be careful if you are out and about traveling. take it slow after midnight. lots of clouds tomorrow. near record warmth. we are not talking about temperatures in the city getting into the upper 60s like we thought before. we have to lower those because we have more cloud cover around.

so, we are darn close. rain returns on monday, mainly in the afternoon. not before temperatures get up again into the lower and middle 60s during the day. 55 middletown. 48 the temperature at monticello. association you are cooling off more quickly well north and west but mild, very mild for this time of year. 62 the current temperature in the park. visibility 3 miles at monticello. patchy fog developing in that area. the wind stream lines showing wind off the atlantic ocean into tomorrow keeping us cooler than we were today from the city and points north but look at south of the city, by tomorrow afternoon, death spite the cloud cover and that wind off the water, you get into the upper 60s to another 70 in places like toms river, new jersey. check out the forecast as we head into the overnight hours, temperatures falling to about 54. could be patchy late night fog, maybe drizzle as we head into the day tomorrow, patchy morning fog, otherwise mostly
