into us. meanwhile, a scout master is recovering after a half hour inside a cave with a bear. >> it happened at the rock township. three quick-thinking boy scouts knew what to do. kala is live with what they did. >> reporter: these hiking trails go for miles. you have to know your way around here. apparently that boy scout master did. on his hikes. this time what a difference. he is recovering with bite marks, claw marks to his head and shoulders. the 51-year-old fought the bear off an hour and 20 minutes before he was air lifted out of the reservoir to new jersey.

boy. he is then accused of putting the boy's body in a suit case. >> reporter: outside morris park in the bronx neighbors are at a loss. that little boy was barely eight weeks old. i'm told the child's father has given a lengthy statement to police. they believe the boy's father carried the child's body in a gym bag hours after the murder. the 51-year-old suffocated the boy in a rage after the child would not stop crying. when the infant's mother danielle white discovered the child barely breathing he allegedly threatened to kill her if she called to call 9-1- 1. they both left the apartment and buried the child in dutchess county. it was not until miss white was
