year-old wont a violent crime spree. his first victim? dillon's neighbor, allegedly stabbing her in the head leaving a 1.5" deep gash, cut her face and came here to george's liquor store. julio tells me that the suspect got in an argument outside and george came into the shop and dillon followed. when the 55-year-old turned his back? >> it wasn't a big knife. >> reporter: that's where it hit george? >> yeah. >> reporter: stabbed george in the neck, collapsed, didn't have a chance to fight back. >> he picked up a container, i guess flammable liquid and that's why you can see that. >> reporter: he threw it at you? >> he threw it inside. i think he wanted to burn the place down. >> reporter: julio's pants were on fire and he showed me burns on his leg and neck and

a worker in the shop called 911. police cornered dillon in the backyard, not far away. when the suspect refused to drop a knife, he threw some chemical at two officers, probably the same liquid he tossed at julio. what happened you say to the man who did this to you and george? >> rot in hell. >> reporter: rot in hell? >> yeah. >> reporter: now, police did end up shooting dillon, and tonight, he is in the hospital. julio tells me he now lives in a shelter in far rockaway but considers george's shop his home. george's funeral is on friday. kemberly richardson, eyewitness news. >> thank you. quite a story, and the uber warm weather continues with temperatures in the 60s and 70s. this is more like the 18th of april, a perfect day for a run or anything else. these folks are in central park
