residents in the tristate area. the very latest on the accu- weather forecast for meteorologist jeff smith. jeff? >> reporter: the main impact will be late tomorrow through 6:00 on monday for nassau county, western suffolk county on long island. we are expecting more snow, several inches at least of snow. a winter storm watch is in effect for the eastern part of suffolk county right through 6:00 a.m. on monday. we have a system already sliding off to our south right there now. there could be a sprinkle over southern ocean county but this initial storm system will slide off to our south. the main show which comes in late tomorrow and tomorrow night is actually the more vigorous piece of the upper level. this will take a left hand turn up the coast, with a storm track like that, we are on the cold side of things just cold

snow possibly mixed with a little bit of rain at the onset beginning late tomorrow afternoon and lasting right through tomorrow night. at this juncture we are expecting around an inch of snow in manhattan 1 to 3 inches to the east. 3 to 6 inches over parts of long island. we are going to have adjust this forecast based on our newer computer model runs. in the city itself. roads should remain mainly wet because temperatures will be marginal. it is colder over eastern long island and there could be snow covered roads in those locales. eventually, a big warm up as well. joe back over to you. >> reporter: jeff thank you. track the storm. you can track the conditions anytime with the accu-track weather alert app. now on to that chaotic chain of events. on a new jersey interstate, a

the owner of a cab gives chase. the cab raced into hillside, new jersey. police followed it there, back it newark, irvington borer, where it struck a couple of squad cars. >> reporter: joe and laurie, an out of control tractor trailer cab came speeding down this street here, smashing into several scars turned down this street where police surrounded that driver. eyewitnesses thought at one point cops were going to have to open fire the driver refused initially to surrender. that was the main concern for residents who watched this all unfold. the man behind the wheel had stolen that cab, was being followed by its owner who called police. eyewitness news learned it was stole lien, went into union and then down route 22 back into newark. it struck two police cars as cops attempted to pull it over.

in the vehicles was injured but listen to what one eyewitness situation. >> he hit the corner. street. he stopped the door flew open he was going to jump out. the police got out. he got back in. the door flew open again. an officer jumped out of his car and in the moving tractor got in with him. or however. they pull him out of the truck car. >> reporter: there was one officer with minor injuries taken to the university of newark hospital. the driver was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for using the cab as a weapon. other charges are also pending. stephen kim channel 7 several hundred demonstrators rallied in manhattan today to protest against republican presidential front runner donald trump. they gathered in columbia bus

tower on fifth avenue. during the rally, tempers flared, police moved in. >> reporter: today's trump protest drew an impressive crowd in columbus circumstance and demonstrators are planning another one. while there were a handful of arrests and some people were pepper sprayed, hundreds more gathered peacefully and are hoping their message was heard. not everyone is convinced donald trump is capable of making america great again. chanting and voicing their objections, hundreds of protesters took to the streets of new york city saturday afternoon, marching from columbus circle to trump tower on fifth avenue to show the gop front runner he doesn't have everyone's vote. >> reporter: trump's ignorance and blatant bigotry toward us, we are calling for it to end. he has to go. >> reporter: we are here to

rhetoric against immigrants and muslims and many other groups of people. >> i think it is good to show a what he is saying. >> reporter: flooding the sidewalks for hours, hundreds more police officers stood by ensuring nothing got out of interrupted. at one point protesters threw water bottles at officers. this eyewitness says he was blindsided while trying to help someone else. >> i was lifting up an individual and was pepper sprayed blindsided by pepper spray. >> still many describe the overall protest as a peaceful gathering and a much needed counter. mr. trump out west assured a crowd of supporters he is what the gop establishment needs right now. >> they don't know what they are doing. they have no clue they don't know how to win, they haven't won in a long time.

scheduled to move on to tucson. i'm aj ross channel 7 eyewitness news. turns out new york wasn't the only place where antitrump demonstrators rallied. as many as 50 people created a trump traffic headache near phoenix. they blocked the only major road where trump held an event today. drivers were not thrilled. nearly all the protesters moved when police asked them to but police did arrest three people. the nypd says 44-year-old kenya flores of the bronx was struck by a yellow cab in a bus lane on first avenue near stuyvesant town early this morning. the driver fled the scene. investigators believe flores was lying in the street when she was hit. a cane, found nearby, may have belonged to her. police are also investigating a stabbing this afternoon in the bronx that left a man fighting for his

investigators say he was stabbed with a broken bottle after a dispute with another man who fled the scene. this happened at east 233rd street and keppler avenue. an eyewitness describes what she saw. >> one of the kids said are you good? are you good? broke the bottle and stabbed him right in the chest. it was horrible. horrible. i hope the kid is okay. >> reporter: the victim who is in his 20s, was taken to the hospital. new at 6:00, a new york city teacher was fined $300 for showing eighth grade students an isis beheading video. this happened at the south bronx academy for applied media in october 2014. the education department says november 2015 the teacher has been working as a substitute. the department tried to terminate her, but an independent arbiter decided a fine was sufficient punishment. the teacher says she played the

new information a french prosecutor says the paris attack suspect captured yesterday planned on a suicide bomb attack, but backed today authorities moved salah abdeslam from the hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound he suffered in the arrest to jail. his lawyer said he will fight extradition to france. he drove the group to paris to take part in the attacks that killed 130 people. a strong gust of wind may be to blame. 62 passengers and crew died when the fly dubai plane went down overnight. surveillance video shows the plane dropping to the ground at a steep angle. flight recorders are being analyzed by investigators. two americans are among the five dead from a suicide bombing in istanbul. the others are from israel and iran.

breaking news right now in new jersey. police are on the scene of a murder suicide. police say an 11-year-old boy found the bodies of his parents inside the home on west clinton avenue. a 44-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the head. a 36-year-old woman was also found dead in an upstairs bedroom. their names have not been released. scary moments for students and staff on a school bus on an
