most wanted list. abc's phillip mena. >> tonight, the capture of a fugitive, after seven months on the run, brenda delgado now under arrest in northern mexico. the suspected mastermind behind the death of the dallas dentist, who was gunned down in the garage. the motive for the plot, investigators say, jealousy. hatcher was dating delgado's former boyfriend. >> it was a murder for hire. >> reporter: police say the suspected hit man seen on this surveillance camera was promised drugs in exchange for killing hatcher. that man and an alleged getaway driver was arrested. but delgado fled shortly after police questioned her. >> what's left is to bring her to justice. >> reporter: investigators believe that she was hiding out in her native mexico. >> by placing her on the top ten list, it placed pressure on the mexicans to pick her up. partly expedite the extradition process will

>> reporter: to make a deal, for her extradition, u.s. officials agreed to take the death penalty off the table. mexico opposes capital punishment. but she can still fight extradition herself. and delay a return here to dallas for months. cecilia. >> phillip mena, thank you. a break in another man hunt to report tonight. anthony garver is now back in custody after escaping from a p sshgs yshgs psychiatry hospital on wednesday. he was hiding under debris in the woods. he's charged in the 2013 stabbing death of a young woman. police say that while he was on the run he contacted his parents trying to get a passport to flee to morocco. and now to that breaking news overseas. in those belgium terror attacks. you'll remember this surveillance video and that man in the hat inside the brussels airport. right there with the two suicide bombers and then caught on camera, again, in the moments after the blast.

that man, mohamed abrini, has confessed to being that infamous man in the hat. abc's alex marquardt is in brussels tonight with more on how authorities say he got away. >> reporter: answers finally tonight in the frantic manhunt for the so-called "man in the hat" from the brussels terror attacks. according to belgian authorities, mohamed abrini, arrested friday, told them today that he is that man, seen with the two airport suicide bombers who targeted the departures hall. abrini allegedly leaving behind a bag of explosives before fleeing, the escape caught on surveillance cameras. the 31-year-old belgian was also the last known suspect of the november paris attacks, charged today with terrorist murders and participation in a terrorist group. authorities say brini's dna had been found at the brussels apartment, a virtual bomb factory, from where he and the other attackers left to the airport. new audio was released today believed to be one of them calling for the taxi.
