flying off at 60, 65 miles per hour on the turnpike, and that 7,000-pound humvee flipped over, landing essentially on top of the four soldiers trapped inside. >> reporter: when the front right wheel came flying off the army reserve humvee, the driver lost control. it flipped over right there in the southbound lanes of the turnpike, trapping all four soldiers inside and instantly severing the leg of one female soldier. in eyewitness still photos, you can see one soldier's legs dangling from the wreckage but he couldn't get out. >> we're going to need some fire apparatus. emts are coming northbound. they're going to be standing by. >> a military humvee, and there were three soldiers trapped. >> it looked real bad but i didn't see any major injuries. there was blood in the truck.
