>> reporter: diana, she didn't call 911 after she was shot. she instead called her husband. she was standing over here on the corner. she had walked between two men who started shooting at each other. she instead was shot in the face. in an exclusive interview, her husband told us today that she said on the phone i don't want to die. >> the guy would stop the car. she was walking home from the store when she was shot in the face by the men shooting each other. she didn't call 911, she called her husband because she thought she was dying. she said somebody shot me and i

it has gone up to eight. all killed execution style as they believe that the shooter or the shooters are still on the loose. the bodies were discovered in four homes this morning about 80 miles outside cincinnati and all the victims were members of the same family. seven adults, one 16-year-old boy. three children under 3 years old survived. it is not clear if they were shot though. authorities say that it is possible that there is more than one shooter. some of the victims were found in bed indicating that they were shot while they were sleeping. the fbi is now assisting in this investigation. opening arguments are underway right now in brooklyn in the the trial of the teenager accused of starting a fire. marcell old. it happened back in 2014. the officer was killed, another cop officer rosa and rodriguez was injured. she is expected to testify. new details about a

busy shopping district on long island. police say that the victim was a retired nassau county police officer. the 65-year-old detective of minniola was crossing in carl's place yesterday afternoon when he was struck bay car. the 18-year-old man driving the car remains at the scene. no charges have been filed. after he tumbled into a trench in brooklyn. news chopper 7 was on scene this morning. the man fell into the trench, that trench about 15 feet deep. the construction site is near the medical center. the emergency room doctor rushed to the scene though. >> as i saw it, it was that we couldn't really do anything for this guy in there and except just not make it worse. just to hold his head to make sure no movement to the spine because there is a high risk of the neck fracture. >> he was there, the victim was there in the hospital. the extent of the injury is not

mayor bill de blasio wants the state legislature to take action after they experienced problems in this week's primary. the state attorney general and the city controller both are investigating the city elections, which is an independent agency. on tuesday, some polling places didn't open on time. and one site workers reportedly seemed unaware of the republicans that could vote in the primaries. >> i want to be clear that a vote would need to happen in the legislature to change the rules and change the structure. but i'm going to work for it because from my point of time i could not be more frustrated. >> in the meantime the mayor says he will pressure the boards to explain why tens of thousands of new yorkers were purged. 175 countries have signed a landmark agreement on the climate change at the united nations. each nation will set for reducing the target

everyone got out safely as they report. >> reporter: it took hours to put out the flames. it all started shortly after midnight. >> reporter: he was among the dozen or so left homeless when it was all over. >> it was crazy that i cannot believe that it took out so much of the complex that it was ridiculous. >> reporter: now, this is the unit where the fire got started that it is a second floor condo and that enabled that fire to spread pretty quickly across the roof of the building. but still they evacuated them in about five minutes. once that fire was finally out the firefighters discovered a pet cat inside that condo where the fire started. the paramedic who lives nearby jumped in to help. >> she wasn't breathing very well. we had her on oxygen.

en the city's tentative deal has hit a roadblock. they have raised concerns about the provision where uber will pay the city $1 million a year for the right to operate at the airport. most of the airport is is within the new york city limits and the port authority leases the land from the city. >> and seven people were hurt including five children after fire damaged several road houses.

the morning low of 62. that is more typical of what you would see in early to mid- june to put everything into perspective here the normal high at this time of the year is 64 and the record was set back in 2001. now, that is 86. some parts of our area have gotten into the lower 80s today. a few showers and a thunderstorm tonight just a couple of showers around, mainly early. kind of a slow start tomorrow and the clouds and maybe a stray shower or mainly south and east of new york city. and then breezy and brighter in the afternoon. not quite as warm as today, but still getting up in the low 70s. and then down right chilly tomorrow night. you might be chilly in some of the northern and western suburbs with a little frost in a few spots. then a nice recovery during the day on sunday. >> 79 right now in newark and both of those locations, they were in the low 80s last hour. 77 right now in la guardia and your temperature at jfk. you were significantly cooler over the eastern half of long island.

south that is warming up the rest of the region, but it is not the case if that wind is coming off the cold waters, the places stuck in the upper 60s now and well into the upper 70s. the areas west of the city from all the way down to tom's river in new jersey. here is the radar picture right now. these showers are spotty and few far in between. we'll zoom in on a couple of them one here over northern rockland county and approaching the western shores here of the hudson river conyers. it could be a heavier downpour with that and it should be shocking to hear a rumble of thunder. also another batch of the showers have been moving through southern parts of the ,000,000ddlesex, new jersey, weakening a couple of sprinkles moving through northern parts of the county. and as you can see that it is not that impressive with a lot more moisture off to the south. but it will all shift offshore overnight. we are just kind of in this apparent right here where we

here is the future cast as you can see that. it is not very impressed with the prospects of getting a lot of rain during the evening hours. just a spotty shower or storm right through midnight. by 7:00 in the morning the activity well to the south and the east and that here in the city we are cloudy at 62. then we will start clearing things out during the afternoon and with enough sunshine by mid- afternoon we will get back up to around 70 degrees. after a slow start with the clouds and maybe a shower southeastern tomorrow morning that we will have a nice second half for the day. by the time the sun goes down, we will be in the lower 60s, breezy out there. you are already into the radios in areas north and west -- 50s in areas north and west. it will be a chilly night tomorrow night especially north and west of new york city. accuweather forecast for tonight mostly cloudy with a couple of showers. a thunderstorm afternoon mainly early. the stray shower early tomorrow mainly southeast of new york city. and then not quite as warm as today. still above average for this time of the year. breezy during the afternoon
