with worried family members. she's in bed-stuy with more on the search. >> obviously this woman's mother is worried sick. she's hoping whoever has information will walk through the front door at the 79th precinct, go to detectives and tell them exactly where her daughter is tonight. >> baby, momma is looking for you. can you please call somebody and let someone know you're all right? >> reporter: it's been a week since 21-year-old destiny dawson disappeared. her mother suspects foul play because she knows in her heart her daughter would never abandon her 2 and 3-year-old daughters. >> you're telling me she left the kids and never returned? i'm confused with that. >> reporter: her boyfriend reported her missing thursday, saying the last time he saw her was 8:30 that night. she left her apartment, the

bed-stuy, to grab food nearby, but a friend of the couple tonight telling me at her home that she said she was meeting a friend at a nearby j subway station. >> she said she would be right back. she was going to meet a friend and she was coming right back. >> reporter: family and friends are constantly calling, texting, and sending messages on social media, hoping for a clue. investigators want you to pay close attention to this description. dawson is 5'3", about 100 pounds with bleach blond hair and braids. she was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, blue nike running shoes, and a blue polo cap. tonight her daughters are with their grandmother in harlem, just waiting for news. >> i haven't heard a thing. her phone keep going to voicemail. been going to voicemail till now. it's still going to voicemail. >> reporter: her mother questions whether her boyfriend and father of one of her children was involved. >> i don't know nothing about destiny or her disappearance. i don't know nothing.

investigation at the state board of elections who alleged mayor de blasio and his advisors had colluded with political contributors. those donors wound up contributing as much as 10 times their personal limits to three different democratic state senate candidates who if elected would then support the mayor's agenda in albany. the mayor suggests these allegations are nothing more than pure politics and not only has he done nothing wrong but he claims his team has used the same fundraising tactics mayor bloomberg did during the same years he was in it says, quote, has been subpoenaed by the u.s. attorney's office for the southern district and we are fully cooperating with this investigation. the mayor, the statement continued, has not been personally served. important to note here. a subpoena does not indicate

next step in an investigation that certainly seems to be picking up steam. josh einiger, channel 7 eyewitness news. new details tonight in a tragic crash in front of an elementary school in bayonne, new jersey. the victim getting in to his car this afternoon when he was suddenly hit and killed by a pickup truck. tonight we're learning the truck was owned by a local plumbing and heating company. teachers at a nearby elementary school lining up to shield the kids' eyes from the gruesome scene. a neighbor describing to us what she saw. >> i saw the car door open and smashed and a person lying on the ground on his side. sad, very sad. kennedy boulevard is like a race course. >> that truck that crashed in to the victim then hit another vehicle and ended up on the sidewalk. so far the driver has not been charged. new at 11:00, a bird running in to an airplane. a big bird leaving a big dent. the nose of an american airlines plane badly dented. the flight from seattle to

the pilot turned the plane around and made an emergency landing. everyone onboard was okay, except for the nose of the plane. also new tonight, another scare in the air. a delta flight aborting take-off when another plane crossed its runway. the pilot slammed on the brakes just in time. the braking so intense, they had to let them cool off before they could take off. the faa is investigating what caused the near disastrous mixup. a local jetblue pilot out on bail tonight after he was charged with flying drunk. dennis murphy arraigned in downtown brooklyn after a flight in to kennedy airport last year. murphy was selected for a random drug and alcohol test. authorities say he had been flying under the influence of alcohol on two cross country flights filled with passengers. imagine your car stopped on some railroad tracks when a metro north commuter train

we hear from a woman in the car and her split second decision that saved her life on those tracks in westchester county. eyewitness news reporter jim dolan at grand central where the community was messed up because of all of this. >> moments ago metro north saying the harlem line is back up and running on time tonight. but what a day it was. the car of course should never have been on the tracks in the first place. there it was. there was traffic in front of it. the gate coming down behind it. a metro north train about to slam right in to it. >> reporter: the front end of the car was crushed and looking at it, you couldn't imagine anyone survived. but the two women in the car got out just in time to watch it all happen. >> this lady is very fortunate because the last few times the folks got hit there, they weren't so lucky. >> reporter: passengers on the 222 harlem line train out of grand central had to walk a plank to get off at the green lane crossing in bedford hills. the crash caused huge delays for

investigators tried to figure out what happened. women in the car -- >> upset. >> but no one is hurt. >> we're not hurt. >> when i got there, the car was sideways, about a foot away from the train. apparently it was stuck under the gate. must have tried to go through the gate and the train hit it and swung the car sideways. >> reporter: medics stood by after the crash but nobody was hurt. >> the car of course was crushed. the owner of the car was given a summons for blocking the railroad tracks. jim dolan, channel 7 eyewitness news. the biggest gang takedown in new york city history unfolding in the bronx today. now prosecutors are investigating whether the public housing residents are being forced to live in unsafe conditions. 120 alleged members of two rival street gangs and their associates are charged in various shootings, stabbings, and robberies.

crashing in to trees and bursting in to flames. >> there's a guy trying to get out. >> workers at a security business in alabama scrambling to help after hearing about the crash. several people braving the flames to try to help free the pilot who managed to jump from the burning wreckage. the pilot, the only person onboard, suffered cuts to his hand. new details in the death of prince. abc news tonight reporting that prescription drugs were found in prince's possession and at his home when he died. now c nn reporting the drugs were opiate medication. not known if the drugs played a role in prince's death. the dea has been notified and may get involved after toxicology reports have been completed. manager of former pro wrestler chyna says he believes she died of an accidental overdose.

she had been taking legally prescribed pills for weeks but wasn't using them properly. he insists she did not commit suicide. no official cause of death yet. police are searching for a man who tried to lure a 16-year-old boy in to his car in new jersey. investigators released this new surveillance image of the vehicle, a gold chevy impala. police say yesterday morning the driver stopped the teenager while he was walking in roselle park, said sexually explicit things to him, then unsuccessfully tried to lure him in to this car. a pet store owner in new jersey indicted tonight on 134 counts of animal cruelty. vincent losacco, owner of just pups, accused of keeping dozens of puppies in deplorable conditions. he left a van packed with puppies in near freezing temperatures. no room inside for the pups to stand up. losacco's brother who worked at the store is also charged. he was once one of the most powerful men in american

dennis hastert branded a serial child molester by a judge who sentenced him to 15 months in prison. hastert pleaded guilty to breaking banking laws in a case involving paying millions of hush money to cover up his abuse of teenaged boys. the abuse happened decades ago before he became speaker of the house, when he was a high school wrestling coach. the terror suspect facing charges for the deadly bombing last year in paris tonight extradited from belgium to france. salah abdeslam is the last known survivor of the people believed to have carried out the paris attacks last november, attacks that killed 130 people. officials at harvard university say a could force some students to miss next month's graduation ceremony. there are now 41 confirmed cases. the first one was reported nearly two months ago when the infection spreading among people who were vaccinated.

looked like we would have a dry window both days. clouds breaking for sun, near normal temperatures. slightly below. i think by late morning or midday on sunday, we'll start to see rain showers come in. right now it's about the chill, already down to 45. upper 30s in places like danbury, armonk. then you look at temperatures on long island, 48 in islip and 45 in newark right now. so mostly sunny to start. clouds won't need the umbrella until at least after 2:00, 3:00. i think it's closer to 5:00 or 6:00 in new york city. just cloudy at 4:00. but cool. only upper 50s. then it's damp in to the evening hours. so you see the clouds are starting to come in here. there's the front. and the showers are going to lift to the north. so that's going to be coming in as we go through the day tomorrow. afternoon rain showers, clouds building during the middle of the day. rain is not going to be heavy. system is going to be weakening as it comes eastward. with the front nearby, waves of low pressure riding along the front, we remain in the drizzle friday. i'm confident this should get
