homes on the avenue. it happened at 196 see more avenue a man was shot in the kitchen and a woman was shot in the bedroom, the woman nine months pregnant. she was shot in the left foot and taken to university hospital in newark. back out here live the ross tore is on the scene investigating all of in this morning. but we know one person was dead and one person was shot in the foot. 4:33. new this morning police are searching for the young man and woman suspected of pulling off a brazen burglary at the indonesian consulate. teeny yates is live with details on what was stolen. good morning. >> reporter: good morning michelle. that is the indonesian consulate you see behind me.

magnificent facade, decked out this intimidating-looking security cameras but that did not stop the couple from breaking in, trying to find an unlocked door, which they did. check out the video. the man leading the way, he is wearing no shirt. his female companion close behind him. this happened at about 1:00 yesterday morning. the couple found an unlocked side door, invited themselves a samsung tablet, a suitcase of clothes and keys to a 2004 tan colored honda odyssey which they drove off in when they were done. that odyssey does have consulate plates. the suspect with between the ages of 18 and 25 years old. he was wearing dark gray sweatpants with no shirt. she was in a black and white striped tank top with dark pants. those are very, very clear pictures you see from those

know who this couple is, the nypd would appreciate a call from you. now we are live here on the upper east side eyewitness news. 45:00. several young children including a baby are safe this morning, all thanks in part to a brave and quick thinking 12- year-old girl. officer brian gay was first on the scene when fire ripped through a home in sayerville. but he might not have made it been for little jay lynn holloway. she jumped out the window to call for help. >> i called the cops right away. if i didn't call the cops right away, we'd probably all be dead. >> all these people risked all of their lives and their families to come save my kid and my house. >> officer gay got there just in time to catch one child and broke the fall of another. even though fire destroyed their home, the family are

long island expressway has claimed the life of a sixth victim. 71-year-old helen addle son died yesterday. police are investigating whether or not 26-year-old carmelo pinellas was speeding when his car went airborne over a thin wire median. his car struck two cars heading in the opposite direction. he died along with his sister 10-year-old son. also killed was 29-year-old scott martel and a former aide to governor cuomo. >> he was a very special person. big smile and big heart. >> this was a really, really beautiful young man. he just loved public service. >> at least three people are

4:36. here's a story first seen on channel 7, a family in newark demanding an apology after they say an innocent 10-year-old boy was chased down by police with their guns pointed at him. >> legend preston's mother recorded the incident. he was playing basketball when police chased him down an alley because they thought he was an armed robbery suspect. >> they was holding shotguns at me like this. >> they did have the him as they assumed quote he fits the description. >> police officers or police say that officers did have their guns out but never pointed them at the 10-year- old. internal affairs now investigating the incident. health officials have announced there are 37 zika cases in florida. they say the cases are not related to travel and were probably considered through local mosquitoes.

harris was killed after being pulled over by a trooper in charlotte north carolina. he tried to pull him over for six miles. neighbors believe he was trying opened fire. >> he stopped over here and a few seconds later. >> that guy was deaf. he didn't even hear the siren. didn't hear anything. >> reporter: question is what about the lights. of course this incident is still under investigation. a grand jury indicted a college janitor for a first degree shooting of an imam and

shoots two people, killing one of them. >> the surviving victim is a woman who is nine months pregnant. diana rocco is live at the scene. good morning. >> reporter: michelle and ken good morning, police are still looking for a gunman this morning. it is not clear what led up to all of this. neighbors believe it to be drug- related. again, one man is dead this morning, a pregnant woman recovering in the hospital. 196 seem more avenue around 1:30 this morning. police have not said if there is a description on this gunman or what was surrounding that dispute. we are told a man was shot multiple times in the kitchen of this house a woman shot in the foot in the bedroom. that woman, approximately nine months pregnant was shot in the left foot. she was taken to university hospital in newark. prosecutors were out here

better part of the last couple of hours. police have just left the scene, but they are still looking for a gunman this morning. i'm diana rocco channel 7 eyewitness news. diana thank you. 5:04. an x-ray technician at a brooklyn hospital accused of sexually assaulting two women while giving them x-rays. both assaults reportedly happening at kings hospital where 65-year-old larry jones worked as a certified x-ray technician. jones assaulted two separate incidents after they were left alone with him while getting x-rays of their legs. jones has worked at kings county hospital for 13 years. >> he probably did it for a long time. over and over again. >> there could be other victims right? >> might be. >> he should be investigated to the fullest. >> jones has a lengthty arrest record. the hospital released a statement saying it is committed to the safety of its patients.

long island says the party turned chaotic when a suspected drunk driver started ramming into several vehicles. you can see the cars being tow in center port. danielle dario was there with a group of friends when all of a sudden they heard screeching sounds. >> obviously drunk. we walked out, there was a whole bunch of pieces of cars. car was basically totaled on the outside. hit every single car on the lot. >> danielle didn't know the driver. she said about 10 high-end cars were seriously damaged, including her own. 5:05. the trump campaign prepares to head to texas today. donald trump will hold a rally tonight in austin. his new campaign manager says trump's immigration policy is still to be determined after he postponed an immigration policy

a man accused of attacking an 81-year-old woman in the bronx. the video shows the suspect following the woman into her building in belmont. he kicked her in the back and stole her necklace before running off. if you recognize this man, please call police. we are seeing the fallout from ryan lochte's tale in rio. four sponsors have dumped the medalist, speedo, ralph lauren, dropped lochte within three hours of each other. japanese mattress maker air weave followed, essentially wiping out his income away from the pool. he and three others claimed they were robbed. he has since apologized for, in his words, embellishing what
