tells us he's not going far. ----------------- and - a tractor-trailer plunges over the chesapeake bay bridge-tunnel. 10 on your side learned how the driver is doing tonight. breaking news-- police in norfolk are investigating three 7-eleven robberies. in total, that's four armed robberies at 7-eleven stores in the city today. the first one happened before nine tonight, at the store on red gate avenue in west ghent. nobody got hurt. we are working to get the suspect's description. the second armed robbery happened on the other side of hampton boulevard, on colonial avenue-- just after nine. no one got hurt, but the suspect got away. dispatchers tell us the third armed robbery tonight in the city, happened on chesapeake boulevard just before 10. a 10 on your side viewer sent us this picture from the scene. we're working to learn if they are all connected. we're told robbery on chesapeake boulevard is the same 7-eleven where a suspect robbed and shot a

10 on your side obtained this surveillance video of the incident, you're seeing the moments leading up to the actual shooting. another employee at the store this afternoon said the clerk is out of the hospital. the suspect got away with about 50 dollars cash. if you have any information in these robberies call the crime line. new tonight --a suffolk man, who identifies as a pastor, faces 26 sex crimes involving a minor. 54 year old anthony mcclain was arrested in december. he was supposed to be in court today. but, his case was continued. 10 on your side's liz palka has been looking into this story today. liz-- you talked to people close to the case. tom -- i spoke with a city representative and a which started this past august. they include graphic interviews - and lab results. and an interview with a detective where mcclain admitted to the inappropriate relationship. according to his website and family - anthony

out of his suffolk home on kings highway but, now - the 54-year-old man sits in western tidewater regional jail. he faces 26 felony charges related to one victim. aggravated sexual battery. indecent liberties with a child. and incest. c2 16:30:22 - i believe my husband is innocent and i'm standing by him 100%. mcclain's wife, deborah, spoke to us from her new home in north carolina. she says the accusations are not true. and said this about the victim in the case... c2 16:22:18 - she made these accusations that she was having sexual encounters with him ten on your side will not identify information about the victim. just that she was under 18 and known to mcclain. within this stack of court documents we learned the charges stem from incidents that started in april 2015...and ended august 4th when suffolk police were called to the mcclains house. interviews with a detective reveal the pastor at first denied the claims. and then admitted to them. "i did have sexual

her, but it was consensual and she initiated it." mcclain's wife said she did not know of any sort of confession... c2 16:25:36 - if i thought for one second he nothing else to do with him, trust me. mcclain's wife did tell me they did not have a physical church they worked out of in suffolk. more so a charitable group run out of their home. mcclain's next court appearance has been continued to february 24th. that is when he will be arraigned. i'm side. a former teacher has been indicted on a sexual offense charge involving a prosecutors say 2727ear-old ryan garrott was a teacher at manteo high school. the d-a says the offense happened with an 18-year-old female student, in may. north carolina state code states: if a teacher is at least 4 years older-- at the same school, it's a felony. prosecutors say garott is currently out of the country. a court date will be set

we continue to follow the dramatic crash that sent a tractor trailer soaring into the chesapeake bay this afternoon. ahead you'll see the aftermath, captured only by chopper 10. tonight, the driver is in the hospital- rescued after nearly an hour in frigid water. 10 on your side's liz kilmer is live from sentara norfolk general. liz, how is he doing? tom and nicole - we're told he will be okay - he was reportedly alert as the coast guard and multiple other rescue crews saved him after he drove off the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel. fortunately no one else was hurt. only chopper 10 was overhead capturing the chaotic moments after a tractor trailer went overboard while driving on the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel. dramatic video shows the destruction - lanes, shut down - and the tractor trailer, bobbing in the bay. c4 terry mccarthy 01:12:06 "people are always in a hurry to get across there, it's scary, i don't like

officials say the driver was traveling south near the 14 mile post when he tried to pass a slower- the side of the bridge and soared into 49 degree water joined by the coast guard - cbbt police and virginia beach emergency responders rushed to the man's aid - a lifesaver was thrown to him, as he remained conscious and alert - pulled from the water just before 4 c6 brian camden 01:13:59 "glad to hear that this guy was saved and it this stretcher - was brought to shore - 10 on your side captured a nightingale flying him to the hospital - with serious injuries to his head, arm and chest. but again we're told the driver is expected to be okay. police tell me they aren't identifying him yet - the incident remains under investigation with traffic citations pending.

encina. tonight, the white house says: there's no evidence north korea detonated a hydrogen bomb. we told you in breaking news last night-- the country announced it successfully tested the bomb. we do know something big exploded at the north korea test site. scientists say the waves created do not indicate it was an "h-bomb". many experts say the test is alarming-- because it shows dictator kim jong un is developing the powerful weapon. new tonight the republican led congress sent a bill to president obama's desk that would repeal the affordable care act. it's the first time this kind of bill has gone this far, and is sure to face a veto. the bill fulfills a promise lawmakers made to repeal obamacare. it also would defund planned parethood. democrats called the bill pointless political theater since the will veto it. bill cosby will not face criminal charges on two sex assault cases in california. los angeles county prosecutors decided not

the comedian. the d-a says there's not enough evidence in a case from 2009, and the statue of limitations expired for the second case from 19-65. about 50 women have accused cosby of drugging them and performing unwanted sexual acts. he has denied any wrongdoing. last week, prosecutors in pennsylvania charged cosby in a sexual assault case. late today, a court there postponed his preliminary hearing-- date. new tonight, deputies in currituck county are looking for two suspects they say robbed a bank. take a good look at these pictures. the sherriff says the pair robbed the towne bank of currituck in moyock this afternoon. police in virginia are also on high alert. along with the suspects they're also looking for white ford focus or fusion, deputies say is a vehicle of interest. developing news-- police in chesapeake are still searching for the suspect- they say- tried to abduct a woman this morning. investigators say: around nine a-m, a man with his

a woman as she was getting into her car on rosemont avenue. we're told the suspect assaulted her-- and pulled her out of her car. the victim managed to escape. call the crime line if you have any information. new tonight -- surprising news from the world of hampton roads high school football. one of the area's most sucessful coaches is switching schools. bruce rader has been following this all day, and bruce even you were surprised. i was nicole, although it has been talked about for a couple weeks, ocean lakes football coach chris scott confirmed today he is leaving the virginia beach public school system to take over as head coach of bishop sullivan, the private catholic school in virginia beach. scott who led ocean lakes to the state 6-a championship two years ago was suspended twice this season, the first time for violating public school recruiting rules. well, he won't have to worry about that in the private sector. in fact, he already has one ocean lakes players planning to transfer to

developing tonight, hundreds of local jobs are on the line, as macy's plans to close three stores in our area. the company says it expects to place about 50-percent of affected workers in other positions. the department store blames dissappointing sales from last year. the macy's closing in our area include-- military

chesapeake square in chesapeake, and peninsula town center in hampton. almost 275 local workers are affected. in all, 40 stores nationwide will close. tolls on bridges and topic when the general assembly reconvenes next week. state senator frank jones think taxpayers got a raw deal on tunnel tolls, and the are putting forth legislation to make sure happen again. legate jones says it's wrong to put up tolls without offering a reasonable free alternative route that has no toll. come becasue its not enough space anyway. 2:59:58 the kill devil hills board of commissioners meeting is next friday. look for details on wavy-dot-com. new tonight dozens of turtles found off the coast in north carolina are warming up. the north carolina aquarium says someone rescued 81 turtles on the outer banks and more than a 100 at cape lookout. experts say the young turltes were caught close to the shore when the water quickly dropped below 55 degrees. the cold water stuns the animals leaving the unable to move. they'll spent a week or two warming up at the aquarium before crews release them. overnight: partly to mostly cloudy. lows: upper-30s, near 40.

a 10 on your side recall alert that could affect you might have in your freezer. a supplier for walmart is recalling almost 90-thousand pounds of sam's choice blank angus beef patties with vidalia onion. officials say it's because the patties could be contaminated with "extraneous wood." the recall effects boxes with expiration dates from may 17th to june 6th of this year and sold at walmart and sam's clubs nationwide chipotle faces new trouble tonight, this time from the government. today federal investigators served the restaurant chain with a grand jury subpoena. it's related to the norovirus outbreak at one of it's restaurants in california. almost 100 people came down with the stomach bug. that's just one of many outbreaks the restaurant chain faced last year. many people are not eating there now. sales plunged by almost one-third in december. the redskins put in their game plan for sunday night's playoff game against the packers. and one of the area's top high school football coaches moves into the "private" sector. the

a 41 game district winning streak, has been hired as the head football coach of bishop sullivan catholic school in virginia beach. private schools do not have rules against recruiting, in fact it's a regular practice. bishop sullivan, the former norfolk catholic high school, indeed encourages outstanding athletes to apply for admission. it helps build the school's public profile and there are fewer rules than the ones that apply to public schools in the state. and scott is not wasting any time. it's expected that ocean lakes running back kay-lin laborn, the state's offensive player of the year will also apply to sullivan to join his former coach. in addition, coach scott hopes that most of his assistant coaches from ocean lakes will join him at bishop sullivan including his top assistant chris ramey who filled in for scott during his suspensions last fall. coach jay gruden and his staff were back on the practice field today as
