so far, here is what before 6 p.m. yesterday police were called to a house on with a weapon. police got there and were told a woman and her a domestic disturbance and the husband was armed with a gun. police say they did an investigation and got four warrants for the man - including abduction, robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and brandishing of a firearm. according to police, the man barricaded brandishing of a firearm. according to police, the man barricaded himself inside the house alone. then at some point police say the man come out of the house. according to a release, officers told the man to drop the

another police k-9 died over the weekend in ohio after a shootout at a grocery store. police say it started saturday as a burglary, and the suspect starting shooting at police. their police dog jethro got hit three times. the bullets missed his vital organs and bones, but hit him in the muzzle. it caused his brain to swell, and the dog later died yesterday. the police k-9 association posted this picture saying rest in peace jethro. the group is expecting to hold a funeral either today or tomorrow. as for the burglary suspect who police say shot jethro - officers shot him in the leg during the shootout. they later found him in a yard. he faces several charges. well now it's time for a check of your forecast here's a live look at tower cam 10 at the skies over downtown norfolk the temperatures really took a dip from yesterday. are they gonna go up anytime soon? let's get the latest from meteorologist deitra tate

breaking news this midday - a chesapeake man will spend the next 14 years behind bars - because of a deadly bar fight. today ronnie cisko was sentenced to 10 years for voluntary manslaughter charges. and another four years for probation violations. he admitted to killing charles lee setchell at zino's restaurant on old george washington highway in chesapeake. investigators say the two got into a fight over football. new at midday -- police in elizabeth city are investigating a shooting that happened yesterday afternoon. police say this happened on debry street around three. officers found several shell casings at the scene of the shooting but no victim. while they were on the scene, police got a call about a victim walking into the hospital. police say 22-year-old anthony morris- mayers had a gunshot wound in his arm. he is already out of the hospital. police are still looking for the suspect. this morning, three people are recovering after a shooting in hampton. it happened last night at

that ended in a mistrial. the supreme court won't be deciding whether to take up the appeal of former governor bob mcdonnell's conviction for corruption charges. at least not yet. on friday we told you the high court was deciding which cases it will take up. according to the supreme court website, the case isn't scheduled to be decided on today. mcdonnell will go to prison to serve his two-year sentence if they decide not to take the case. in september 2014 a jury found him and his wife, maureen, guilty of accepting gifts and loans from a wealthy business man in exchange for political favors. looking ahead, lawmakers in virginia are getting ready to head back to richmond. they'll begin the 2016-legislative session at the general assembly on wednesday. this year a priority is to pass a $100-billion dollar, two-year budget. lawmakers will also tackle controversial issues on health care, criminal justice and guns. 10 on your side's erin kelly will be in richmond covering our local lawmakers. look

one-point-four billion dollars. lottery officials just raised the pot for the powerball drawing. and that number could keep going up. it's the biggest jackpot in lotto history. it started with a mere $40-million-dollar on november 4th. about 95-percent of tickets are quick- picks, where people use the computer generated numbers. the huge jackpot is making us all dream about what we would do with so much money. if the winner opted for the lump sum, they would get a more than $800 million dollars. however, about 40-percent of that goes to federal income taxes. here's more evidence of just how large the powerball jackpot is - it can't fit on the signs. you may have seen 999-million on billboards or store signs, instead of 1- point-3 billion. and just because no one

saturday, doesn't mean people didn't take away some other big prizes. a few people in hampton roads got some big cash. the virginia lottery says one person won $one-million dollars after buying a ticket at "convenience on the go" on holland road in suffolk. two others won $50-thousand dollars after buying tickets at 7-eleven stores in hampton and suffolk. there's a growing interest in guns here in hampton roads. a record crowd packed the norfolk scope arena over the weekend for the showmasters gun show. 5-thousand people attended - that's double the amount of people last year. the foot traffic is just one sign of a growing interest. the owner of a gunshop in newport news says he's concealed carry permit classes. just look for this story. sheriff's deputies and a police officer in washington state shoot and kill a man threatening them with a chainsaw. colwitz county deputies brent harris and alex tonnisen, and kelso police officer darrel stair shot the man after he allegedly came at them with the weapon. the exact details of what happened during the incident are still being investigated. all of the officers are on administrative leave while the shooting is looked in to. four suspects have been arrested for a horrific crime that allegedly happened on a playground. police say these five teens gang raped an 18 year old girl after they pointed a gun at her father. one of the suspects is 17 years old, another 15, and the fourth, just 14 years old. one of the suspects is still on the loose. police say each one of them took turns raping the teen. the teen and her father talk about what happened.

breaking news -- a man who pleaded guilty to killing another man in a fight at a bar in chesapeake is finding out just how long he will be spend in old george washington highway. investigators say the two got into a fight about football. 10 on your side's lex gray just got out of the courtroom.

chesapeake, va. (wavy) - the man accused of murder in connection with a deadly fight at a chesapeake bar fight is set to face 14 years in prison. ronnie cisko, 36, received sentences of 10 years for voluntary manslaughter and 4 years for probation violation on monday. cisko pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in september of 2015 for the fight, which occurred in december of 2014. the fight occurred at zino's italian-american restaurant, between cisko and 46-year-old charles lee setchel. setchel died at the scene. cisko was arrested and charged with murder on dec. 24, 2014 in connection with the fight. stay with wavy news 10

we are following developments in an officer involved shooting that left a man wounded this morning in norfolk. a k-9 dog officer died after police say the suspect shot him. it all started around six sunday evening when police got a call about a domestic dispute between a husband and wife in the 1100 block of land road. that's just off virginia beach boulevard. when police got there, the man barricaded himself inside the house. after several hours of trying to negotiate with him, he came out of the house with a gun. police say they yelled at him to drop his gun. instead, he started shooting, and that's when the k-9 was hit. police shot back and seriously hurt the

new at midday -- police in elizabeth city are investigating a shooting that happened yesterday afternoon. police say gunfire on debry street around three. officers found several shell casings at the scene of the shooting but no victim. while they were on the scene, police got a call about a victim walking into the hospital. police say 22-year-old anthony morris- mayers had a gunshot wound in his arm. he is already out of the hospital. police are still looking for the suspect. at least two people were hurt and another arrested after a shootout in onancock. the accomack county sheriff's office tells us onancock police responded to the scene of shooting between multiple people at the pine street apartments. this happened around ten friday night. deputies arrested 21 year old nadir amir toppin and charged him with reckless handling of a firearm. while on scene - deputies found two people with
