obey the law. that's the message portsmouth's vice mayor has for mayor kenny wright. wright walked out of jail today. he turned himself in on a felony charge for eluding police. it all started after last night's council meeting-- when the sheriff spotted an expired inspection sticker on wright's car, and tried to pull him over. he says the mayor lead the sheriff and police on a short chase. vice mayor elizabeth psimas shared her take on the situation with us tonight. 18:57:33: i don't think he needs to step down, but he's gonna have to follow the law and what the court tells him now. do you think he should've particulars are, but he certainly eluded. 18:57:46 whether it's a felony or misdemeanor i don't know, but based on what i saw in the video, he didn't stop."18:57:52 back to that confrontation between mayor wright and sheriff watson. since then, wright's lawyer says watson may have set the mayor up. attorney michael massie told 10 on your side: when he watched the news

in chesapeake, taxpayers are footing the bill for extra security at parks and community centers. the city has installed dozens of cameras over the last year --- with plans of expanding the program. new tonight 10 on your side's joe fisher joins us with a look at the cost. ((joe looklive)) tom, nicole -- more than $180-thousand-dollars. that's how much money i've learned the city has spent so far on the security cameras. the goal, they say, is two-fold: to make those who use the parks feel more safe -- and to deter against crime. "absolutely." that's what happened when a tractor-trailer knocked a light pole to the ground at elizabeth river park. the footage helped the city recoop $5,000 dollars in damages from the driver's insurance

western branch tonight. i'm bruce rader, dre bly, did it all at western branch--a football, baseball and track star--he was one of the most productive defensive backs in acc history at north carolina before his 11-year nfl career. a two time pro bowl selection, dre began his nfl career in 1999 with the st. louis rams as a second round pick, and played a key role on the rams super bowl winning team his rookie season. it was because of that game, that bly--with his parents and former coaches along side, presented western branch with a gold colored football, celebrating some 3-thousand players who have played in super bowls.
