police have identified the two men found shot to death in a van yesterday as 38 year old cadre grey of norfolk and 30 year old quinton kelly of newport news. the police chief held a news conference this morning about the double homicide and the officer-involved shooting. near 14th and wickham avenue. not far from where officers found the two men dead --- officers tracked two of the suspects. police say one fired a gun. officers shot that suspect the other got away. police have not released the name of the victims or the suspects. 10 on your side's matt gregory is live in newport news with what the police chief says his department will do to fight the tide of violence. police chief myers compared this year's violence to last years. a year ago in january newport news had 6 homicides. he felt like his department was in for a record breaking year and not for a good reason. this year as the crime rises his department will act. as early as tonight he's

police have identified the most recent homicide victim. 59 year old clifton ewell was found dead inside his home on erin lane last night. newport news police say ewell had signs of trauma on his body. officers haven't named a suspect. portsmouth police are investigating a nightclub shooting. detectives say it happened at the pure diamonds lounge on portsmouth boulevard near airline. the victim walked into the hospital around 1-30 this morning. investigators say another man shot him during a fight. the victim should be okay. police do not have any suspects. four people face charges in connection to a meth lab police say they found in a norfolk home. just before 9 last night -- detectives found the meth lab on templar boulevard. this is video of the bust -- you'll see only on 10. detectives found the meth lab when they were serving a warrant. we have pictures from the bust on wavy dot com. here are the mugshots of the suspects. they are 49-year-old richard billups, 30- year-old justin long, 28-year-old kyle harris, and 23-year-old

care. 10 on your side's erin kelly has been working to learn more about the case over the past few weeks. morris' daughter told 10 on your side today that morris' wife was sick in the hospital and passed away right around the time this happened. she says he had to choose between taking care of the animals or being with his wife. morris' daughter denies the animals were in "deplorable" conditions, as officers have said. virginia beach's animal enforcement unit - moved the hogs and sent them to local farmers or to market. we learned today -- officers say some animals did not have adequate feed, water, or shelter. and that at least one dead animal was unburied in the area. police say the conditions the animals were in did not occur overnight or even over a week. we were unable to reach morris for comment, but left messages for him. the hogs were on city land -- and a city spokeswoman says the land was purchased to protect naval air station oceana from encroachment.

walmart is closing 269 stores worldwide by the end of the month. 154 of those are in the u.s. none of the stores are in our area. 10-thousand walmart employees will be effected by the closings. the company hopes many of them can be placed at other stores. most of the stores closing are smaller format "walmart express" stores which debuted in 2011. almost all of the affected stores are within 10 miles of another walmart location. the company plans to focus on super- centers, neighborhood markets and e-commerce. there are 11,600 walmart stores worldwide. chipotle will close all

ballistic vests. this -- after an armed suspect shot and killed a k-9 earlier this week. 10 on your side's joe fisher is live in the newsroom to tell us all about it. joe. anita -- cnn's anderson cooper is scheduled to speak in norfolk next week. we've learned he'll now be donating his speaker fee to a local non-profit that raises money to buy these kevlar vests for police dogs across the country. retired navy seal james hatch started spike's k-9 fund after his k-9 died in the midst of a gunfight overseas. now -- he hopes to get more of an estimated 25,000 police dogs nationwide, protected with ballistic vests. on monday, norfolk police k-9 krijger died in the line of duty. that dog was not protected. and hatch says, if he was, he would have had a better chance at survival. here's his reaction to anderson cooper's big donation. tonight only on ten a local congressman may be swapping the district he's running in. this follows a redistricting plan that creates a strong democratic fourth congressional district. that district now represented by republican randy forbes. andy fox has learned forbes was thrown a congressional life ring after congressman scott rigell annnounced he is not seeking re-election. he joins us with what that means it means that republican congressman randy forbes although a long time veteran of the house of representatives is the odd man out with the new lines drawn by the u.s. court of appeals. the current districts have been determined to be unconstitutional racial gerrymandering.

seriously exploring a run in the second. it comes down to this, it may be the only way he stays in congressman what it all means tonight at six. the man who played grizzly adams has died. dan haggerty played the mountain man in a hit movie followed by a tv show in the 1970s. adams died this morning from cancer. he was surrounded by his family and manager who said they thought his condition was improving last week until his doctor found the cancer had spread. haggerty was 74 years old. hyatt hotels has released more information about a recent data breach. the hotel chain says the malware turned up in about 250 of its hotels in 50 countries. the bugs may have exposed customers' names, credit card and debit numbers, and expiration dates to hackers. hyatt says it still doesn't know how many of its customers were affected. most of the exposure was at hotel restaurants. a small

were used at spas, golf shops, parking garages and front desks. good news for taxpayers. the i-r-s says people won't have to wait as long to get questions answered on its phone hotline. that's because the agency hired more customer service representatives --- after getting a bigger budget from congress. fewer taxpayers may also face an audit this year. several tax compliance workers are retiring. the i-r-s isn't replacing them. the i-r-s will begin accepting 2015 federal income tax returns on tuesday. the c-d-c could issue a travel warning for pregnant women after learning of a virus that's caused birth defects in babies. its called the (zee-kha) zika virus, and its spread through contact with mosquitoes. the areas of concern include parts of the caribbean, and central & south america. some babies have been born with abnormally small heads and brain damage that can lead to death. while the symptoms in adults are mild, officials in brazil report 35-hundred babies born with the disease in just the past year.

school. she spent most of her adult life as a stay at home mom. she started her career as a teacher at the age of 80 ----when the school found itself in need. her daughter recruited her. she teaches at the same school. we continue to gather the latest on breaking news out of chesapeake. six massage businesses are being investigated by city and federal law enforcement. police tell 10 on your side-- they're conducting interviews - and checking permits - after receiving a complaint. 10 on your side's liz kilmer is live in front of one business on north battlefield boulevard - liz what do you see? there isn't much activity now at this massage parlor - but that wasn't the case earlier here - or at five other businesses across chesapeake. take a look - chopper 10 overhead harmony massage on 117 coastal way - where we can see a sheriff's van - and two women in cuffs, being placed into the sheriff's van. again, we're told six massage parlors are being searched today by city police and homeland security investigations special agents. a police spokesperson tells me officers received a

conducting interviews. investigators are checking to make sure these businesses have permits - that no one is living in the businesses - and that they are not violating elements of city code- for example - not engaging in inappropriate touching or human trafficking. the other locations being searched - pure massage on byron street asian dream massage on live oak drive. sunny spa on kempsville rd. and the parlor at 316 south battlefield. right now - police say there is no indication that these business are all connected. as far as we know right now - charges have not been filed at this point. but we are working to get you more information. we are following breaking news from the supreme court. the justices will review the case of bob mcdonnell. two years ago, a federal jury found the former virginia governor and his wife guilty of accepting gifts and loans-- in exchange
