in one hour on wavy news, random thats at wavy news at 6. in newport news matt gregory 10 on your side also in newport news -- police have identified the most recent homicide victim. 59-year-old clifton ewell was found dead inside his home on erin lane last night. police say ewell had signs of trauma on his body. officers have not named a suspect. developing news out of hawaii. the search continues for 12 crew members who were onboard two marine helicopters that collided over hawaii. we first brought you this story as breaking news this morning. the helicopters collided about 2 and a half miles off the coast of oahu last night during a training mission. marine officials said each helicopter had a crew of six from marine corps base hawaii. once the sun came up search crews spotted a debris area spanning about 2 miles. back home -- virginia state police are investigating a plane crash in middlesex county.

dennis gregory -- died. 10 on your side's jason marks has learned more about what happened. it was only a couple minutes after a pilot took off from this small airfield that the plane went down. now the question is how it happen. (pkg) (under video) 01=17:00 "never thought i see nothing like that" irene keyser was in her back yard doing the same thing she does every day-- feeding her chickens.. when she heard a strange noise over head. 02=:21:19 "i thought it was like a lawn mower and i was like who is cutting grass" the sound was coming from 61 year old gilbert gregory's ultra light airplane. he had taken off from hummel field in middlesex county just minutes before. 01=16:01 "when it got over top of those trees that's when the back of it said kah boom then it as it got right there that's when the wings flipped up and one came down that's when it started spiraling out of control" the plane crashed down in the woods behind keyser's home. 01=16:38 "i'm like oh my god mama an airplane is going down" and that's when it went boom" keyser feared the worst. 01=16:51 "i told them there was no way that

warrants for murder and a gun charge. part of the truck that went over the side of the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel is out of the water. chopper 10 was there today - as most of the truck was put on a barg. crews still need to locate the container that was on the truck. 33-year-old matthew killmon drove through the barricade and into the chesapeake bay last wednesday. only chopper 10 brought you these live images during wavy news 10 at 4. he somehow managed to get out of the cab and swim to the surface. crews pulled him from the water. the cab is out of the water. crews are still trying to locate the container. four people face charges in connection to a meth lab police say they found in a norfolk home. just before 9 last night -- detectives found the meth lab on templar boulevard. this is video of the bust -- you'll see only on 10. detectives found the meth lab when they were serving a warrant. we have pictures from the bust on wavy dot com. here are the mugshots of the suspects; 49-year-old richard billups, 30-year-old justin long, 28-year-old kyle harris, and 23-year-old ashley

neglected more than 100 hogs - that were left on city property. that man faces charges - and his family contacted 10 on your side to share their side of the story. 10 on your side's erin kelly has been on the story since the hogs were discovered. erin? a woman who wouldn't give her name, but identified herself as the suspect's daughter -- says he had other family issues going on during all of this. but police say the conditions the animals were in -- didn't happen overnight. on a rain-soaked new year's eve - virginia beach's animal enforcement unit - moved more than 100 hogs they said were living in deplorable conditions. according to police, they were on an illegal farm on city property off salem road. investigators told 10 on your side friday that some of the animals did not have adequate feed, water, or shelter. that their waste wasn't managed properly. and that at least one dead animal was left unburied in the area. police charged 64 year old gary morris senior with animal cruelty, and inadequate care. they

connection with the unburied animal. morris' daughter told 10 on your side that morris' wife was sick in the hospital and passed away right around the time this happened. she said he had to choose between taking care of the animals or being with his wife. while she said the animals' pens were wet from the rain, she denied they were in "deplorable" conditions, as police had said. the animal enforcement unit said the conditions did not occur overnight or even over a week. according to morris' daughter, he was renting the land from a friend and didn't know it was city land. a city spokeswoman says the land was purchased years ago to protect naval air station oceana from encroachment. at last check - the city did not know how the animals got there. we were unable to reach morris for comment, but left messages for him. live in the newsroom, erin kelly, 10 on your side. a drug test went wrong at a french clinic-- leaving one person brain dead and several hospitalized. a medical trial by a private laboratory was testing a molecule on patients.

street. when today's session was over, the dow finished below 16 thousand for the first time since october. the s and p and nasdaq also took significant hits. analysts say falling oil prices are greasing fears of a global recession. and here's another punch in the gut from a soft economy. wal mart is closing 269 stores worldwide, by the end of the month. 154 in the u-s. none appear to be in our area. most will be smaller format "walmart express" stores which debuted in 2011. walmart instead plans to focus on super-centers, neighborhood markets and e-commerce. 10-thousand walmart employees in the u.s. will be effected by the closings -- but the company hopes many of them can be placed at other stores. the same day walmart announced closing doors -- kroger is looking to hire. kroger needs seven hundred workers for its mid-atlantic division. many of those jobs will fill vacancies at its nine stores in hampton roads. the job fair is going on
