called in a propane company to help. more breaking news from chesapeake. a car drove into a building on south military highway, near the railroad tracks. the information is still coming in from police. we're working to learn whether anyone was hurt, or whether the driver will face charges. breaking on the peninsula -- police are investigating a shooting. it happened around eight on warwick boulevard near bland in newport news . police say someone shot the 23-year-old from williamsburg, after they got into a fight. the victim told police, the gunman had a five-star tattoo on his neck, a black sweathshirt and white and red jordan shoes. he said the suspect rode off in a black toyota camry with two other people. medics took the victim to the hospital, and they expect him to recover. if you recognize the description, call the crime line. we're working to learn more about raids at massage parlors in chesapeake. today, local and federal investigators searched six businesses. they took some workers

hostages have been freed. it says the u-s military has troops nearby, and they may help french authorities if need be. new tonight. virginia beach delegate scott taylor says he's running for congress. he hopes to win representative scott rigell's soon-to-be empty seat. taylor made the official announcement on the john fredericks radio show this morning. this is video from a previous interview with him. the former navy seal also been considering a run for lieutenant governor in 20-17. rigell said he would not be running for re-election. the latest move following a court ruling to redraw local congressional districts. fellow republican randy forbes from the 4th district is calling people to say he's will probably jump, to run for rigell's seat in the second district. it includes most of virginia beach. republicans say forbes will be leaving a largely democratic district -- for a more right-leaning contingent of voters. not come forward yet. the new year swoon continues on wall street as stocks plunged again, down more than eight percent in the past two weeks. we've been reporting, what analysts call an unprecedented slide this year. the vicious gyrations are even more unsettling because investors have been enjoying a steady market for years. analysts blame this drop on concerns about china's economy, oil prices and tensions in the middle east walmart plans to close more than 250 stores, but none in our area. thousands of workers from california to maryland and alaska to puerto rico will lose their jobs. the stores will all shut their doors for the last time at the end of this month. more than 100 stores getting cut include the retailer's smallest locations, known as walmart express. the army may punish a dozen people for an anthrax incident we learned about last year. it says leadership, and technical failures led
