the minor-moderate flooding level, that could be the biggest thing. have more on that coming up. >> when you are out at about, track temperatures by the hour on the wavy weather app. when fire and ice collide, it is brutal for firefighters. the scope of this meat plant burning, the fire could be seen for miles. it flared up again and here is where it happened. this is on route 31 in surry county. we had a crew on the ground shortly after the call came in. we remain there tonight with this update. cracks -- >> you mentioned the flareup before 4:00, eight didn't die down until just now.

it is dark but even darker because of the thick, black smoke. the fire crews had wrought in heavy machinery. they tore down the walls of the plant and you could see flames shooting out. this started around 12:45 and it is still blazing. now it has died down. i will show you what it look like as chopper 10 flew overhead. again, as you mentioned, 4:00, it started blazing again and it stayed that way. the fire chief told me that they could use 75,000 gallons of water here. 10 times what they would use during a house fire. eventually, the hydrants started to freeze and they were running out so now they are ringing it from a creek. there are at least 10 different departments here and they are

they're are battling this against cold temperatures. i spoke to a woman who worked here for years and she told me that when it started, she saw the fire starting at the loading dock. then she radioed for everyone to get out and then the smoke was so sick that she was choking. but she came back here later to see what happened. cracks i don't know what the future holds right now. from the looks of it, it isn't looking good. the store is still standing but i don't know how we will possibly put anything inside. all of the hams are gone. smoked hams don't need to be burnt. >> of course, since firefighters are actively fighting this, we haven't heard anything about a cause.

was shot last week and the amazing turnout to honor the canine hero at the service and the procession route. brandi cummings is live now. brandy: hundreds of law enforcement officers braced this measure whether to give their final respects to a fallen hero. >> it is no small thing to have to lose your dog in the line of duty. >> now is the time to let our feelings out and grief. >> this was no dog. this was a partner. he went to work, he was someone who backed him up when he got out the car. >> officers from hampton road, virginia and even maryland paid their respects. >> i know it is something tough to go through. we have our hearts with them.

in sam's club on frigidaire beach boulevard. the suspects are still out there. we have the interview he will see only here. police did reveal new details and images who held her prisoner in her own car. all in the hopes of getting her story out, in the hopes that it will lead to an arrest. every movement of shoppers captured on half a dozen cameras but these cameras couldn't stop two criminals. >> gentleman came up to me, he said he was in the military and needed directions and then the next man came up with a knife and said, get in the car. >> the two men forced this woman into the backseat. they made her hide under a

they said they were sorry that they had to do that, that they were desperate enough to do that. >> at the first two stops, her card wouldn't work. the men got agitated and accused her of entering the wrong pin. >> i was panicking a little bit. >> finally, at a wells fargo, her card worked. she was to $800. >> this is the first suspect. his name could be andy or andrew. this is a newly released emblem on his jacket, may be of a pinup girl. and it is the wells fargo camera that captures the image of the second suspect, he is hispanic

temperatures here are rock temperatures. i am going to 40 degrees or 15 degrees. that is about the same as this morning. so it will be cold in the overnight hours so it will be breezy. through the day tomorrow, cloud cover. and it will be warmer tomorrow. then we move into tomorrow evening. we may start to see if you flurries in the region. scattered flurries and then they taper off rapidly. we could see a light dusting on grassy surfaces. maybe on a back deck or a car top but most of us won't see a thing. we are not really concerned about that one. on thursday, a lot of sunshine.

then it warms up more significantly. now, things get more interesting this weekend. thursday evening at 7:00 into friday morning. a mix of clouds and snow and rain. moderate snow up to the williamsburg area. and then by the afternoon, it melts away. everything changes over to all rain by the middle of the afternoon. so yes, we could get some snow on friday, williamsburg or northward. once the rain hits, it melts. through the overnight hours we could cheese them -- we could see some rain. here we are on saturday morning. a rain mixture and then solid snow that there is nothing heavy. there are dark blue colors but that is to the north of our area.

we could have backlash sours -- /showers. there may be a little bit of snow on the ground but i am not ready to nail down amounts yet as far as snowfall or rainfall. the times will be a problem. it begins as a rain-snow mix at the noon hour and then begins -- and then becomes rain. saturday becomes windy. around 8:30 on saturday, mild-moderate flooding as it tapers off at night. through the day tomorrow, very cold to start the day. a lot cloud cover. once again, our best chance for snow is on friday morning.

he returned home and was the assistant principal at the oscar smith high school. that fills up the classy induction ceremony on april 30 in boards myth. --, a member of the virginia sports hall of fame is one of 14 former players being inducted into the college football hall of fame in december. he graduated in chesapeake and was a two-time packer in north carolina in the early 1980's and paid -- and played 13 seasons in the nfl. >> i was shocked and surprised and honored. i didn't give it a whole lot of thought about will i make it. but i am honored and i'm fortunate to be able to say yes, i am in the college football hall of fame.
