the latest crash - happened just before four this afternoon in virginia beach. one man died near 81st and atlantic avenue -- police say speed and icy roads may have contributed to the accident. 19-year-old carlee andrada from chesapeake died after state police say she crossed into oncoming traffic on 64 west in virginia beach just after seven am. they say she was not wearing her seatbelt. police say the driver of the other car has minor injuries. no word if the bad weather was a factor. police in chesapeake say 40-year-old charles perkins from pasquotank

on south george washington highway last night. they believe he lost weather. across the eastern seaboard are grounded. this is a look at the norfolk international website - you can see several flights are delayed or canceled. our team of journalists are spread across hampton roads. 10 on your side's erin kelly is live in williamsburg. erin, this is where a good bit of the snow has fallen in hampton roads. we are at richmond rd and ironbound in williamsburg. roads are slushy but we have not have problems ourselves. a few cars getting stuck or tires spinning. public for them is the duration of the storm more salt and sand was delivered yesterday city says they had an abnormal amount of calls for accidents residential streets. live in wmbg ek city will plow primary and residential streets.

breaking news we need to tell you about... we know firefighters rushed to a home in virginia beach. we've learned crews are working to put the fire out on delaware crossing. putting together more information on wavy.com a virginia beach family is dealing with the loss of their home and two cars in the storm. as we first showed you on -- a tree fell onto this house on lawson hall road. authorities condemned the home, but still -- the family says they're grateful everyone got out alive. 10 on your side's lex gray has their story. s/kai foster/tree

i heard a crack at first, you could hear the pine cones falling. kai old trees in their yard cut down. that's why what happened early this morning was such a shock. (2) 50:15 it was just like this ginormous boom, it was like an earthquake. the whole house shook and when i turned around, the whole ceiling just came crashing in. :25 this tree came crashing with it, fallen -- kai says -- from the destroyed...and so are the family's two cars.
