we're on the scene of a fire that sent three people to the hospital and destroyed their home. and several people are hurt after a car crashed into a chesapeake post office. tonight: partly-mainly cloudy sky.. not as cold. lows in the mid-upper 30s. wind: sw 5-10mph "i'm chris horne in hampton, where police are investigating a vicious shooting. they don't have a suspect, but a neighbor has a theory." three people are in the hospital after a mobile home fire. crews are on the scene and so is 10 on your side's erin kelly. they are praising the work of people nearby -- who rushed to help. we are across the street from the harwood mills community where it happened. this is what's left of the home. the fire department says bystanders, a york county sheriff's deputy, and an off-duty lieutenant from williamsburg fire department found one victim in her bedroom and they actually pulled off the side of the home to get to her. fire officials say then they started cpr and she department says another woman got out on her own, went to the hospital and is expected to be okay. and the deputy who helped -- went to the hospital and should make a full recovery, the sheriff's office says. asst. chief chris sadler

here you can see that vehicle, a black sedan, inside the post office here on north battlefield boulevard. witnesses say a woman was behind the wheel. she reportedly drove into the building from a parking space. you can see - lots of police and fire officials on scene. 10 on your side spoke to a woman who was inside the building when this all went down. kristy stevens, witness "somebody really could have gotten killed i mean it was scary to see people with blood, and i mean laying on the floor, the lady that was right behind me, the partition that had gotten broken went right passed me and hit her and she couldn't move on the floor, she was, it was scary." six. live in hampton chris horne ten on your side hampton police are also investigating a homicide. someone shot and killed a man saturday night on darnaby avenue --- just off shell road. officers found 42-year-old leroy detectives are working to identify a suspect. the york-poquoson sheriff's office is investigating a credit union robbery. a 10 on your side viewer sent these pictures from outside the langley federal credit union in poquoson. the hold up happened around two this afternoon. police say the suspect passed a note across the counter. williamsburg police are investigating a deadly shooting. investigators say the 23-year old accidentally shot himself friday at the astronomical pancake house on richmond road. he died on the way to the hospital. a virginia beach man will spend 27 years behind for rape. a judge sentenced waytayha scott today. back in july --- scott pleaded guilty to brutally assaulting a

newport news police say they are investigating the attempted theft of children's sleds. detectives say both happened early saturday evening in the lions bridge area. in one of the incidents --- children say someone told them to give up their sled or they would shoot the kids' dog. police have vague descriptions of suspects. norfolk police are looking for the man they say broke into a chinese restaurant. this is a picture of the suspect from the surveillance video at chen's kitchen on tidewater drive. detectives say this man broke in around 2 a-m friday by smashing out a glass window. he stole money and left. six people are having to stay somewhere else after a townhouse fire in chesapeake. here's a look at crews responding to the call on pine bend in the dominion pines neighborhood last night. firefighters found smoke and flames coming from the second floor. crews got the fire under control in about 15 minutes. investigators say a fire in a chimney spread to the wall. no one was hurt. the cause of this fire in chesapeake earlier in the day is under

hampton police are looking for a man who robbed a good samaritan. detectives say the victim stopped at beall drive and tyndall circle to help someone he thought was having car trouble. that's when investigators say the suspect pulled out a gun, assaulted the victim, stole money from him and then took off on a motorcycle. first at four - a man is behind bars after police say he tried to rob a 74 year old woman. 28 year old brett cote faces multiple charges today. 10 on your side's nicole livas joins us from the newsroom with details. nicole? anita - police tell us: the man forced the victim to drive him to a bank -- demanded money -- and when she said no -- he hurt her. police say a man got into a woman's car at the "zoom in" convenience store on main street extension, and asked for a ride to the bank. once at the gateway bank on ehringhaus street- the man she give him money. police say she refused-- and he threatened her.

mixed reviews about how they feel the navy - and lincoln military housing - handled the situation. here's what we know: many late saturday morning. it wasn't restored until early sunday morning. i spoke with one family who made 17 calls for updates - mainly because two people conditions. and were trying to weigh whether or not to book a hotel. they say every time they called - housing could not give them any concrete information about what was going on or when it would be restored. and they felt relying on housing facebook posts for official updates - wasn't enough. they did not want to show their face because they feared community. 22:53 i thought for sure they'd tell us one way or another. i would have appreciated even if they said don't hold your breath for 12 hours. we got nothing. 23:00

spokesman says they could not give residents an update - because they didn't have one. they say the gas line issue - lies in the hands of the navy. so - i called the navy. they said it took several hours to identify the cause of the gas pressure problem. and, the navy poened gyms so people chould have access to hot showers. housing - opened community centers and brought in cots so people had access to warm spaces. coming up tonight at 5:30 explain that - plus what exactly caused that gas pressure issue - at 5:30 the blizzard is gone --- but it's impact remains. airports are working to n-b-c's kristen dahlgren is at la guardia airport to show us how things are going there. guardia airport where there is a lot more activity than there has been for the last few days., but still a difficult travel day for a lot of people. there is still

on at the runways. here at la guardia we are still seeing 30% of airlines are desperately trying to get back to normal but really a difficult task for the. they a re still clearing the runways when you think about it, more than 12, 000 flights canceled between the time the storm started on friday and today- that is an awful lot of travelers that need to get rebooked and put on flights to where their final destination is, we are still seeing a lot of people say they won't get out until tomorrow, the next day or the day after and with the possibility of another storm coming that could be some difficult travel days ahead. that is the latest at la guardia airport, i'm kristen dahlgren, back to you. passengers are continuing their journey overseas after a turbulent flight. the american airlines plane was headed to italy from miami when it encountered severe turbulence. the plane diverted to canada. three flight attendants

this area outside new york city is among those still digging out. this drone footage is from long island. you can see all the snow blanketing roads and buildings. crews say it will be several days before they can clear all the main and secondary roads. some parts of pennsylvania have nearly three feet of snow. these aerials show snow covered neighborhoods in paoli --- some 25 miles west of philadelphia. officials say snow fell at more than an inch an hour in some parts. crews continue plowing roads and parking lots. all schools in the area are closed. firefighters are usually the ones who come to the rescue. just the opposite happened over the weekend in northern virginia. emergency workers with fairfax county fire and rescue were responding to a call in a snowy neighborhood when their vehicles got stuck. residents dug out a fire truck and cleared an uphill street. it wasn't long before firefighters were back on the move.
