general says an independent investigation will go where it needs to. to recap - the city's water supply is contaminated with lead. levels so high - lead is now in childrens' blood streams. residents sounded the alarm shortly after the city switched water sources in 2014, but their cries fell on deaf ears. demonstrators are still calling on governor snyder to resign as they protest the flint water problem. attorney general bill schuette says he's listening, announcing an investigation he vows will be forceful and fearless. despite the promices from officials - flint residents say they're still getting billed for water they can't use. protesters are pledging to not pay for water until the problem has been fixed. melissa mays / protester "not only are we tainted water and it needs to stop. the water has been pre-paid by the state and mott foundation, there's no reason why we're receiving bills, let alone bills for tainted water."

a texas grand jury cleared planned parenthood of all misconduct and instead indicted anti-abortion activists. two of the activists who made undercover videos - now face second- degree felony charges for tampering with governmental records. the video showed planned parenthood officials discussing fetal tissue and appearing to talk about a price. representatives of planned parenthood said the videos were heavily

a teacher in texas is accused of duct- taping her students' mouths shut. complaints started rolling in last week. right now 22 students say it happened to them. the now former teacher taught first grade in wichita falls. students say they were told it was a game, with one child reporting the duct tape was put on so they would be good. but they took it off whenever they went to the bathroom or a hallway. police and are investigating to determine what- if any -criminal charges may be warranted. four students protesting program cuts and the hiring of university of north carolina president-elect margaret spellings were

the u-n-c board of governors meeting in chapel hill was taken over by dozens of protesters. they submitted a survey of 14-hundred faculty that say professors are deeply unhappy with the director of higher ed. the four now face charges for disrupting an official meeting and resisting an officer. all is clear at winston-salem state university following a campus wide lockdown. last night someone reportedly displayed a gun during a fight. although no shots were actually fired - the school was shut down as a safety precaution. during the lockdown, students were advised to stay in their rooms, or far away from campus altogether. a man is recovering after the coast guard rescued him from a fishing boat near oregon inlet. the call came in around 5-30 this morning from the "sea dog." a man fell and had a serious injury to his ear. the coast guard took him to shore for treatment. here's something you don't see every day. officials are calling it an environmental mystery. thousands of starfish beached along the florida coast just south of
