ethan couch -- the so called affluenza teen -- remains in juvenile detention tonight. a judge ruled the 18 year old should be held there -- until a hearing to determine if his case should be transferred to the adult system. this was couch's first court appearance since mexican authorites returned him on thursday. couch and his mother tonya spent weeks on the run in mexico after ethan missed a meeting with his probation officer. ethan was convicted of killing four people in a drunk driving crash in 20-13. he was 16 years old at the time -- and had a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit. mother's against drunk driving has petitioned for him to be moved into the adult system. the u-s. the world health organization says the virus is "spreading explosively" across central and south america - with 3 to 4 million cases expected in the next year. those most at risk: pregnant women and their unborn babies. right now - there are no vaccines to prevent zika -- and nothing to treat those who become sick from the rapidly -- many countries are taking precautions to prevent the spread of the zika virus -- in chile -- the health minister personally handed out pamphlets with information at the airport in santiago. health officials have issued warnings to travelers headed to areas affected by zika. several u-s airlines are allowing some customers to cancel -- or postpone travel to areas where zika is a concern. united's policy includes travel to all areas mentioned by the c-d-c. delta has a similar policy, though customers must request refunds or make changes by february 29th to avoid fees. american will allow customers a refund if

president obama -- making another push to advance equal pay for women -- he marked the seventh anniversary of the lilly ledbetter fair pay act - by announcing his latest proposal to decrease the pay gap. the lilly ledbetter fair pay act was the first piece of legislation signed by president obama. it loosened the statute of limitations surrounding workers ability to sue for pay discrimination. now -- under this new proposal - companies -- with 100 employees or more -- would be required to report salary information by gender - race and ethnicity. the administration says this will help aid investigations into employers that are "unlawfully shortchanging workers" the president was joined by lilly ledbetter -- at the white house today -- to talk about how unfair pay hurts everyone. it hurts us, it hurts our families and it hurts our

here's your chance to own a piece of the pope's historic visit to the his visit to philadelphia last fall -- is going on the auction block. pope francis was shuttled around the city of brotherly love in one of two fiat 500's. one of them will be auctioned off for charity at the philadelphia auto show tonight. the other one will be on display. proceeds from the auction will benefit ministries and missions of the archdiocese of philadelphia. stay with us... wavy news 10 at 6 is next. we begin at 6 with breaking news in norfolk-- a disturbning discovery along the water. a body is found-- and police rush to the scene.

on: east 26th street, in the area of villa circle and the lafayette river. 10 on your side's jason marks was first on the scene. jason-- what's happening at this point? norfolk, va. - a man's body was pulled from the water in norfolk early friday evening. shortly before 4:00 p.m., dispatchers received a call for service from a concerned citizen. the citizen reported seeing a body partially submerged in the waterway under the lafayette bridge. police and fire-rescue responded to the scene, near the intersection of e. 26th street and villa circle. the body was located and immediately pulled from the water. the man was pronounced dead on scene. the norfolk police detective division has classified this incident as an undetermined death investigation. the office of the chief medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death. at this time, the circumstances surrounding the man's death are unknown. the man has yet to be positively identified and his personal information will not be released until his family is properly notified. anyone with any information is encouraged to call the norfolk crime line at the following: call: 1-888-lock-u-up (1-888-562-5887) tex a man.

they've had investigators from the police department here taking pictures. i can tell you that when the body was on ground, they had the sheet over it it was -- the sheet was covered in blood. police tell me that it's an indication that the body has not been in the water very long. right now officers are classifying this as an undetermined death. i'm told the man's body will be taken to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy and they'll figure out exactly what caused that death. for now, that's the latest here. anchor: thank you, jason. also tonight, the pain still fresh in the mind of the deep creek community. plenty of unanswered questions tonight about a murder-suicide that left six people dead. anchor: tonight a neighbor's story of a loving family and the tragic incident that shattered the quiet community. it's been nearly two days since the ordeal started in chesapeake and a lot of you are still looking for answers. anchor: police are as well. some new details on what happened are coming out this
