parts of the outer banks, we now know the name of norfolk's latest homicide victim. police say someone shot and killed 21- year-old kevin green outside his home on anderson street, in the huntersville area, yesterday morning. for several hours yesterday, police and forensic teams combed the area looking for clues, while the body lay on the sidewalk on anderson street. investigators say someone shot green several times. shortly after the gunfire, detectives knocked on doors searching for clues. two young girls said they

this happened at a house on heather road near craneybrook lane around eight this morning. fortunately, nobody was in the house when the fire started. firefighters tell us it started in the garage. they had to deal with a lot of heavy smoke -- but no one was hurt. we're working to find out more today about an amber alert you might have gotten on your phone. the little girl is now safe, but police are still looking for her dad. yesterday -- they sent out an alert to help them find three-year-old haven moses. the fluvanna county sheriff's office said her father violated his protection order and picked up haven from her caretaker's home on friday. we're still trying to learn why police waited two days to send the ambert they're still trying to find 25-year-old james moses. they believe he may be around augusta county, near charlottesville. in case he is in our area, officers believe he could be driving a light-color sedan or bown ford explorer with v-k-s-6171. football fans are still

night's super bowl many people thought it was going to be a night fans of the carolina panthers would be celebrating. instead, the denver broncos came away with the upset win. the game featured very little offense from both teams, because of sloppy play and strong defenses. denver got out to an early lead and never looked back. the broncos won 24 to 10 to claim their third super bowl title, and their first since 19-98. defensive end von miller earned the m- v-p award. the victory also marked an n-f-l record 200 wins for quarterback peyton manning. fans and analysts have been speculating whether the game was his last. he said after the game he will take some time before deciding whether or not to retire. most people rooting for peyton manning are ecstatic about him getting a second super bowl win. but, maybe his little brother has mixed feelings. check out the reaction from eli manning. this was toward the end of the game when

broncos had it in hand. eli is the quarterback for the new york giants, and has two super bowls to his name. he may be a little upset big brother tied him. with a super bowl win comes celebrations from fans of the team. but sometimes those celebrations get out of hand. denver police arrested at least seven people during last nights celbrating reported police were out wearing riot gear, and even using pepper spray and tear gas to get the crowds to break up. however, nobody was hurt and there wasn't any significant property damage reported. although someone broke a window on a denver police cruiser. but most fans in denver stayed out of trouble. obviously, people in that city are very exicted the hometown team won. and people there are begging peyton manning for one more season. "the overall experience was incredible. i had a great time, other than the outcome. our tackles couldn't handle their ends. that's what i was afraid of. their defensive ends were too strong and cam didn't have any time." parts of the outer banks, trying to recover this midday, after taking a beating from a storm over the weekend. roads flooded as the rain and strong winds blew through. people still can't drive on some parts of nc-12 10 on your side's deanna leblanc is in kitty hawk with a look at the extent damage. deanna? wind driven surge has receded in the village of ocracoke, but there are still pockets of water in the lower elevation areas. although water remains on some roadways,

impacted in the village. emergency services personnel are reporting that at the (approximately two (2) feet of inundation). nc highway 12 is impassable at the new section of dune located on the hatteras end of the island. there is approximately a 600 foot section of dune that has been washed away and is now allowing the ocean to break across nc12. an ncdot crew is working to clear this area. emergency personnel are currently out conducting a windshield assessment, so more information may become available as they access areas that were isolated

a police officer is in the hospital after someone hit him with their car. this happened in a town louis. police say officer steve sperber responded to a vehicle yesterday morning. while he was on the scene, another car hit him. only minutes into a utility pole. two men inside jumped out and ran away, but they were caught and arrested. the officer is recovering from head injuries. divers are still searching for wreckage from two planes that colided off the coast of southern authorities say they

two victims and parts of one plane, sunday, more than 100-feet below the surface. officials started searching for the planes friday after they both disappeared from radar at the same time. that lead investigators to believe there was a collision. one of the planes was a beechcraft passenger plane, the other was a plane that is often used for stunts. a fire near kansas city takes the life of a four-year-old boy. the fire broke out in an apartment building shortly before two yesterday morning. firefighters pulled the boy out of the fire and took him to the hospital, where he died. two other hospital after being seriously injured. one of those people is just a year and a half old. all of the families who live in the building no longer have a home. investigators are still trying to figure out how the fire started. a man in raleigh died over the weekend while participatin gin a race where contestants also eat donuts. it happened during the 12th annual krrispy kreme challenge at north university. the univesity says the 58-year-old man stepped out of the race within

reported having chest pains. paramedics took him to the hospital where he later died. the death has left the university and other runners stunned. andy's 10 on your side investgation into the conflicting reports on this deadly shooting airs tonight at six. coverage begins on wavy news 10 at four. mardi gras takes a tragic turn in mississipi after someone shot and killed two people at a mardi gras parade. the violence happening in the town of pass christian yesterday evening. police say the shooting happened about 20 minutes into the parade. paramedics took four other people to the hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds. police are still trying to find the shooter. the pass chirstian parade is one of the largest in mississippi, draing thousands of people each year. at least three people died after a suicide bomber attacked a bus carrying afghan army personnel. a statement by the defense ministry says the blast happened this morning in northern afghanistan. officials say 14 people are hurt. the bomber appearantly set off his suicide vest near the bus as it passed by. the taliban is claiming responsibility for the attack. buses carrying military or government personnel are

taliban. a bus exploded in england. but it was all a stunt for a movie. still, that upset several people in london. the expolosion is a part of the filming of the action movie "the foreigner" which stars jackie chan and pierce brosnan. however, some people are calling the stunt insensitive. a double decker bus was one of the targets of the 2005 terrorist bombings in london. residents are upset nobody told stunt was going to happen. rescuers are still pulling people out of the rubble of an earthquake that happened over the weekend in taiwan. workers pulled the girl and her aunt out of the rubble, after they were trapped for more than 60 hours. the little girl was concious, and she was taken to the hospital to be checked out. officials think there are still two people trapped in the building. the death toll from the eathquake is now at 38, and more than 100 people are still missing. north koreans celebrated the controversial long range rocket launch over the weekend. the state run television
