scalia could be devastating to the corruption charge appeal of former governor bob mcdonnell regent university school of law associate professor bradley jacob. (7:48 2) ((i think justice scalia's passing is detrimental to gov mcdonnell's case because i think it is overwhelming likely the court will decide with 8 justices and i think he is less likely to win with justice scalia on the court)) runs: 16 justice scalia's death leaves 8 justices in order for mcdonnell to win his appeal he will need a 5-3 vote. 4-4 tie reverts back to the lower court decision that found mcdonnell guilty with 2 years in federal prison. (3;46 2) ((that probably is the kind wide open statutory application that justice scalia probably wanted to take a look at but we will never know runs: 10 jacob thinks scalia was a sympathetic vote that mcdonnell never performed an official act of office to help businessman jonnie williams even though mcdonnell received gifts from williams (5:52 2) ((certainly his prospects look a lot worse than they did three days ago))
5:35 pm
you need to know about bradley jacob (9:23 3) ((he was my best law professor in law school)) runs:03 antonin scalia taught jacob at the university of chicago law school. (9:29 3) ((many brilliant people can't teach the gift of teaching is not the same thing as being very smart but scalia was that rare combination brilliant teacher brilliant mind who is also a gifted teacher)) runs: 11 scalia clear communicator questioned to pull answers out of students engaging, entertaining. (10:26 3) ((nino scalia we are going to apply the wish our constitution said )) runs:08 just moments ago i got mcdonnell's sister maureen c. mcdonnell.
