a norfolk officer is on administrative duty tonight. the department is investigating accusations that he exposed himself to a woman in the parking lot of a portsmouth walmart. she did not want us to show her face, but says him out of a photo lineup. starting next month, a new man will take over the portsmouth fire department. the city manager has named dwayne bonnette as the fire chief. he has served with the alexandria fire department and the coast guard. he has more than 25 years experience in related fields. he starts on march 14th. on monday, portsmouth plans to welcome a new police chief. tonya chapman will take the oath of office. according to the department, she is the first woman to hold that position. chapman has worked in various positions across virginia, most recently as the deputy secretary of public safety and homeland security. investigators are trying to figure out what caused a fire in virginia beach. they sent us these

an update to breaking news from virginia beach. police say someone stabbed a 14-year-old, and medics took him to the hospital. they say they got the call around nine, on wimbledon way -- near the intersection of lynnhaven parkway and holland road. officers say a homicide detective is investigating this, but the teen should recover. a grieving mother is calling for an independent investigation of an officer-involved shooting in virginia beach. in september, officers responded to the 7-eleven on lynnhaven parkway in the salem neighborhood. they say 35-year-old angelo perry opened fire on them, so they fired back on his
