now at 5:30... townhouse transition. virginia beach city coucil has approved a plan to turn a townhouse in the lake edward community into a community hub. it will be called "the spot." officials say the idea is to create a safe place for people to gather and have activities that will improve their lives. but not everyone supports the idea. 10 on your side's brandi cummings is live in the newsroom with all sides of this story. a magnitude 7 point 8 earthquake struck off the coast of indonesia this morning. the quake -- hitting about 500 miles from sumatra -- prompted a tsunami warning. the warning was lifted a short time later. no deaths or widespread destruction have been reported. large earthquakes are relatively common in and around indonesia.
