ashley: we have been tracking clouds today. temperatures stuck in the 40's. we have seen temperatures dropped into the 30's. here's a look at the super doppler radar where we are dry across north carolina and the south side, across the peninsula. even though it looks like we are tracking snow along the eastern shore, several viewers say they are not seeing anything. the area has become more saturated before rain or snow will make it to the ground. you can see we are tracking rain, but west of 95. is taking its time together, the storm will put its foot on the gas as it comes across north carolina.

going to be talking about rain, but parts of the viewing area will see a mix. having said that, a winter weather advisory will go into effect for these areas in this purple color. surrey and sussex county, james city county, gloucester county, and does not include the south side or the eastern shore or north carolina. those are the areas that will receive mostly rain. down into northeastern north carolina. to the north, northern parts of isle of wight county and southhampton county could see a rain-snow mix. parts of newport news could seeing a next, but there are parts that could see a coaching of maybe an inch. was on the grass, the cars, sidewalks. here is how we will break it down. across the metro, all rain
