back open after a multi vehicle crash. we are following developing news in portsmouth. a family is still waiting for justice after the death of their son in 2012. the accused killer of his friend was in court today for a motions hearing. -- but no one has been connected to the death of david gough, jr. gough and his friend anne gilkerson were murdered in 2012. gough's body was found inside a burning jeep in port norfolk. later that same day police found the body of gilkerson in gough's home. 10 on your side's jason marks spoke to family members pleading for answers. this is a very complicated case. a lot of moving parts as we found out today in court. gilkerson's alleged killer has been caught and will soon be on trial.. but gough's case remains unsolved. same day. in 2012 police found david gough's body badly burned in a car in port norfolk. hours later his friend anne gilkerson was found dead in gough's house on broad street. she had been stabbed 123 times. the cases remained unsolved for years until a grand jury indicted this man keonte key for gilkerson's death. gough's case has remained unsolved. 20=7:11:17 "i know there have been crimes that have been solved in many years later.. but my parents don't have that time" as david gough's family waits-- they closely watch what happening inside a portsmouth courtroom. today was supposed to be the last hearing before key's trial. but that was delayed again because prosecutors plan to talk about gough's murder while trying to convict him for killing gilkerson. key's defense attorney said she needed more time to prepare by looking at gough's case. case" today we learned in court that key might not have acted alone. prosecutors say there were 7 murders in port norfolk around the time gilkerson and gough died and they all possibly could have some connection. police say they just don't have enough evidence to arrest anyone for gough's murder. 20=7:10:06 "several people out there that know what happened they were involved in this crime they have to know it's wrong if they have any conscious at all" the judge said it was very odd to have one murder case talked about when during another murder trial but he is going to allow it because they seem to be connected. there hasn't been a new trial date yet for keonte key. today there was also a fight over crime scene photos from inside gough's home. we'll show you some of them and let side. now to a follow-up we first told you about yesterday -- a gates county principal is on administrative leave. we are working to find

10 on your side's lex gray is investigating. lex, parents are frustrated. that's what some of them tell me, tom -- that they're frustrated because they're not getting any information. all day, i called and emailed school board members, the superintendent, and the sheriff's office. but no one will say why principal james woods is on administrative leave. since friday - students and parents at central middle school in gates county have been wondering why their principal is gone. 17:22 along with me and a lot of other parents, we're just appalled by the situation that we've not been given anything to work with. stephanie carlson says her daughter came home friday - and said principal james woods had been escorted off the property. superintendent dr. barry williams denies that -- but he did confirm that principal james woods is on a 30-day administrative leave. parents commented on our facebook, and emailed, and told me directly -- mr. woods is a great educator, and they can't believe he's out. 20:14 who's keeping an eye out on our kids? mr.

central middle school now you've taken him away stephanie carlson says she's called the school board herself - but no one is answering her questions. i asked the superintendent today whether parents should feel that their students are safe at central middle -- he said state law prevents him from answering that question...but couldn't say what law that is. of the six board members - i could only reach leslie byrum. he told me he had been informed of a misconduct investigation, but wouldn't be able to talk about it until it's over. about. but it may be too late for that. 26:12 it's become way too dramatic when the school board could have shut all of this down by just saying 'hey everything's fine, it's a staff situation' or it's whatever - i mean give us something. they do every other time, so we want to know why this time's different. :06 byrum -- the school board member -- also said he thought the case would be resolved in a few days.

count on 10 on your side to keep working to get answers. live in the newsroom, lex gray, 10 on your side norfolk police say a driver faces charges after a car hit two intersection of hampton boulevard and 26th street. police say a jeep and a nissan crashed into each other at the intersection. one of the cars spun around and hit a mother and a child standing on the corner. they were taken to the hospital to get checked out. we're told they'll both be okay. we are working to learn more about law enforcement activity in virginia beach. you may have seen a number of officers this near the wintergreen apartments. we are told they were serving a search warrant, but that is all they could confirm at this time. we will let you know when we have confirmation of what the search warrant was for and if anyone was taken into custody. the deputy secretary of defense robert work and his israeli counterpart were scheduled to tour a local ship today. during their visit they had the opportunity to speak with sailors aboard the norfolk-based u-s-s stout and see
