well. that is the latest. back to you. >> our big story this morning m.t.a. officials, police and families want answers to the same question. what happened along the lutherville light rail track that caused two teenage boys their lives. jennifer franciotti live in lutherville with more. >> some passengers are now starting to come forward with claims that they were on the train that may have hit the two teenagers. the discovery was made on sunday afternoon not far from the lutherville train station on the southbound tracks. a fare inspector made the discovery and we now know who the victims are. connor peterson and kyle wankmiller were on the tracks and officials say it is possible they were hit by a trane. passenger stephanie ayers believes she was on the train that hit the boys. >> it was like a thud, thud,

thud. hit what we thought was a large dogers a deer or somebody. i thought it was like my gosh, was that a person. >> ayers says the driver got out, looked around, made a call, got back in and continued to drive the train to the station. coming up at 6:30, what else ayers said she saw and the latest on the investigation. >> late yesterday another incident involving an m.t.a. light rail car disrupted service. authorities say a train car struck a pickup truck trying to cross an intersection at conway street. nobody was hurt. >> a baltimore city police officer is recovering at shock trauma after being involved in an accident in west baltimore. reports say that 11:45 a police officer tried to stop a vehicle which resulted in a chase and a crash at the corner of fulton and pressman streets. no word on the condition of the

officer. the man accused of stabbing his wife to death is scheduled to stand trial. cleveland williams is accused of killing his wife minutes after mrs. women's filed a protective order against him. police shot and wounded mr. williams but not before he stabbed his wife several times and she died from her injuries three days later. >> family, friends and community members gathered in prayer in southwest baltimore yesterday in support of a 5-year-old girl shot in the head after being caught in the crossfire last week in a gun battle. as raven white remains in critical but stable condition members of the community say more needs to be done to make the streets safer. >> we owe an apology not being in the community sooner. we have to look at what created this problem. we need to fix it. skrshgs we have to bring more pressure on the skrou additional system and stop the plea bargaining, stop the suspended

sentences. we have to stop letting people go. if they do the crime, they must do the time. >> there is encouraging news. family members say raven is showing signs of progress and they are hopeful she will be able to recover. the i-team is learning more about the long and violent history of the teen accused of shooting raven. will month davis's police record began at 10 when he was charged as a juvenile with second degree assault. in the five years that followed he was charged in 10 more crimes ranging from theft to drug dealing to armed carjacking. he had appeared in juvenile court on a robbery and assault charge one day before the gun battle left the girl wounded. sources tell us davis had been wearing an electronic monitoring anklet but cut it off shortly before the shooting. he has been denied bail. >> new details about the gun police say could be involved in the murder former ravens quarterback steve mcnair. investigators traced the gun on

the body of his girlfriend to one purchased in her name just days before the shooting. they have yet to say if she was the shooter or second victim. those left behind are trying to pick up the pieces and make sense of it all. >> i could not believe it. right now still in disbelief a little bit. but just the idea of knowing that he's gone. >> i will miss him as you all will miss him. and i ask you to honor what he did on the field and in the community and what he was is a tremendous teammate. that is his legacy. >> a public memorial for steve mcnair will be held in nashville thursday afternoon followed by a funeral in mississippi on saturday. downtown los angeles could be brought to a standstill this afternoon as tens of thousands of michael jackson depends descend for the memorial service

but it is 71 degrees downtown. the sun is up and whatever that is, well, looks like it is making itself at home. hope you are doing well. as far as the forecast goes we are looking at a insist dry channel of air over baltimore. high pressure in control. we have bright white clouds to the north where there is a front that will approach us and a south where they have seen copious amounts of rainfall in wilmington, north carolina, almost 6 1/2 inches yesterday. for us we have been blessed with low humidity, comfortable temperatures, 71 downtown now. 64 at the airport. in the mountains mostly sunny, a high of 84. much like yesterday. zooming in to central maryland, in baltimore a high of 87 projected which is the benchmark, right where we should be. winds out of the west-southwest and basically low humidity today. 84 on the beaches of ocean city today. on the shores of the chesapeake bay and on the chesapeake bay

winds out of the southwest 10 knots. waves on the waters one foot or less. normal high 87. that is what we are forecasting for today. we hit 86 yesterday. the low yesterday was 58 so below where it should have been at 66. 99 the record set in 1993 and july 7, 1980, 53 the record low. slight chance of shower tonight. 58 to 66 the temperature. high pressure in control with the front approaching us tonight. what it will do as high pressure builds in to new england is change the outlook for the middle of the week. below normal. testifies as you can see in the seven-day only up to 80 tomorrow, 77 on thursday. slight chance of scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon. 81 on friday but then just in time for saturday and sunday will feel more like july with heat and humidity back. >> we are enjoying a quiet ride this morning and we have the new ramp on the northeast side.

we hope stan does his new ramp dance if we're lucky. you are missing it. outer loop ramp to southbound 95 open so hopefully it will alleviate some flow of traffic in the white marsh area. again, that ramp is open, not dealing with any delays anywhere else. southbound on the harrisburg expressway 55 miles an hour, 71 on the outer loop. 59 miles an hour on southbound 795. that is good on this portion of 95 and the beltway. and on the north side at green spring fine. sun glare may be an issue toward the j.f.x. back to you. >> was that a ramp dance or moon walk? police in south carolina say their search for a suspected serial killer has come to a sudden and violent end.

investigators say patrick burris is responsible for the murders of five people over the last six days. purr resist was shot when he was cornered in a home in north carolina during a reported burglary. in addition to a vehicle match which led people to his home. buster tests confirm his gun was used in the killings. south carolina republicans reprimanding governor sanford for his secret trip to argentina to meet his mistress but have stopped short of calling for his resignation. they voted to censure him. the first in that state's history. sanford plans to serve out the remaining 18 months. after years of red tape and debate, plans it rebuild new york ground zero may come down to an arbitrator. while work has been going on at other projects there the world trade tower developer and port authority of new york an new jersey can't agree on plans to build new office towers. a two-week deadline has been set

before an arbitrator steps in. the port authority says it will cooperate with whatever decision and arbitrator makes. >> in our consumer alert your bank may be added fees as they at this point to try to stay profitable. one way they are charging more is by adding or raising checking account fees. other banks are raising fees for a.t.m.'s, overdraft, annual credit card memberships and even using human tellers for transactions. the controversy over michael jackson's estate may have some wondering whether it is better to leave their assets in a will or trust. wills spell out a one-time distribution of assets. it has to go to probate court. trusts however show how your assets can be distributed over time and are assigned to your appointed trustees. legal cost to draw up either varies so you should shop around with lawyers for the best rate.

wankmiller was a junior at delaney high and peterson had recently gotten his ged and was an artist. funeral arrangements are being made. >> reports out of baltimore county say a man who was rescued from a creek has died. it occurred yesterday. crews were called to chink creek. divers were able to pull the man out of the water but reports say it was too late. a report due out today is expected to take federal regulators to task for a rise in the chesapeake bay of bacteria yafrment increased numbers of infections in maryland and virginia from the saltwater bacteria, some varieties can cause life threatening skin and blood infections and intestinal illnesses. they fault the e.p.a. for failing to clean up the bay. >> state police arrested a

westminster man and mother after they led them on a chase in carroll county. police say while trying to serve a warrant for 28-year-old randy brown jr. of westminster his mother created a distraction allowing brown to flee. he only got a few blocks before he crashed the car. brown is charged with numerous offenses this morning including fleeing and eluding, assault, reckless endangerment. the mother charged with obstruction and other offenses. it is back to business for more than 200 workers at the allison transmission plant in white marsh after being out of work almost eight weeks as part of a slowdown. it will be back up to full production this morning. the white marsh plant makes pontiac six-speed transmissions. >> you know the business flyers found on cars, doors, rails, often in gutters? they could be a thing of the past in baltimore county. rob roblin has more on the county's push to eliminate the ads. >> business fliers, we have all gotten them on our cars and at

what happened along a set of light rail tracks in laufrt victim as a mysterious incidents claims a second victim. jennifer franciotti joins us live with more on the story. >> that second victim died yesterday at shock trauma and now passengers are starting to come forward saying they think they were on the train that may have hit the two teenagers. that discovery was made on sunday afternoon about 100 yards south of the lutherville light rail station. it remains a misery how connor peterson and his stepbrother kyle wankmiller were on the tracks. a fare inspector spotted the bodies and m.t.a. officials say it is possible they were hit by a train. a passenger says she believes she was on the train that hit the boys. she observed the driver get out, look around, make a phone call, get back in and drive to the station. this investigation does continue. funeral arrangements are being made.
