my grandmother was better than anybody in this whole entire world. >> the evening. it is our big story. a grandson reacting to news that his grandmother's body was found inside a freezer. officers made the discovery around 6:15 last night in glen burnie. we are live with the very latest. >> it was here at the country club apartments that the body of 83-year-old deleores lea cooke was found inside a freezer. the grandson said he does not want anyone to jump to any conclusions. neighbors looked on as word of 80-30 -- 83-year-old doris cooke's body was found inside the freezer. >> it is scary when you have a little girl upstairs. anne arundel county police say

was just after 6:00 friday night when they received a report of the death at the country club apartments. >> they were directed to a freezer for they discovered an apparent diseased body of an 83- year-old female. >> homicide detectives step in and interview witnesses and family members. >> she will be missed. we all love her. >> patrick hoover is her grandson. he says his grandmother, who had been bedridden for several years live in a home with two of her daughters. he says his and took care of his own daughter in the apartment daily, and that he in the family are trying to sift through the facts. >> it is tragic -- it is tragic what happened. my family is trying to deal with everything and make sure all the facts are correct if 41 assume anything. >> the cause of death is still under investigation, but police say they do know who put cooke in the freezer. >> we do know that the family members had actually placed the body in the freezer several weeks back when the apparent redeeming the person was

apparently deceased. >> at this point in time there are no suspects, nor are any charges pending. that are waiting for the autopsy report to come back before deciding the course of action. loved ones and fans still the coliseum in mississippi by the thousands to honor former reagan quarterback steve mcnair. university of southern mississippi posted the final farewell. it was just a week ago that its 36-year-old was found shot and killed in nashville. several nfl star spoke out at the memorial including dennis young, who mcnair mentored. ray lewis who was instrumental in his signing with the reagans shared a personal experience. >> the first time i met mama lucille, the first thing she said to me was, do not be hitting my baby like that.

>> others talked about his toughness on the field and his willingness to help those in need. nearly a dozen people are without a home after a fire in baltimore county last night. it happened in the 3400 block of firelight lane. when crews arrived, they found flames shooting through the roof of the three story building. the fire reached to alarms before it ever able to gain control of it. no one was hurt, but the red cross is now dealing with having to house the 11 people who lost their homes. >> the red cross will continue to be there to help folks after disasters like fighters, but we are relying on assistance from our financial donors and volunteers to make that happen. >> if you'd like to volunteer with the american red cross, log on to our website, wbaltv.com. several people are in hospital after police said driver failed to yield. an officer says he was doing speed enforcement detail on the

systems are go. if so, endeavor will launch later tomorrow evening. a lot of lightning down in florida and in pennsylvania, north of baltimore. thunderstorms are moving across the state this evening. storms also move for west virginia -- moved through west virginia. the front is still to the west, so we may pick up something overnight tonight, but the rain chances are a lot stronger up to the north, at least over the next hour or so as the storms move into new jersey and eventually offshore. let's look at what happened during the day to day around the area. 82 was a high at the airport. we thought it would be warmer, but the clouds thicken up and it held the temperatures down a few degrees. stevens bill is at 75 and annapolis at 76.

college park is at 79 and frederick at 75. here are all the clouds associated with the release stormy weather. the strong storms are up to the north. they have had some severe weather up there this evening. the clouds are more scattered here in the baltimore area. this line is triggering the storms up in pennsylvania. the cold front is just around the pittsburgh area are just passed that. we could still see something until the strike goes through. we are on the warm side of it now. it has stalled just to our south, but it will be in the neighborhood. our forecast is not all that wet. tonight there may be a thunderstorm. the best chance is north of us. the temperature will settle into the upper 60's overnight. the best chance for rain tomorrow will be south of baltimore.

83-87 will be the high. the further south you go, the better chance to pick up a thundershower. northwest winds become variable and 5-10 not. they water temperatures are in the upper 70's. the sunday forecast may be an isolated storm or to and then something else cropping up in the afternoon. partly cloudy skies and 85, and a similar forecast for monday. the rain chances even smaller on monday. here is the futurecast showing the stormy weather off to the north. our chances are pretty slim. tomorrow, maybe an isolated storms out of baltimore. that is the key here in baltimore. it looks like we will be generally dry, and monday looks like a dry day, too. something could crop up during the day on monday. 85 tomorrow, a little less human than today, with a slim chance of rain tomorrow, south of us.
