the child, but police say there is no question who killed thompson and her unborn baby. >> i really wasn't that shocked because when i was around him, he was very aggressive. >> neighbors say there were close family friends. investigators tell 11 news that they got into an argument early sunday morning. a neighbor discovered her body hours later when running water seeped through a wall. >> she pulled the palo off and said -- the pillow off and saw her neck. she screamed. >> her friend say her death has left an awful lot of void in the neighborhood. >> she would brighten your day.

after he left his home. this is a picture of the victim. authorities discovered the body yesterday morning in the glen burnie. he had been shot. he was confronted by at least one suspect moments after he left his home. anyone with information should contact the metro crime stoppers. you could be eligible for aid reward. an official with the state's juvenile justice system says they have launched an investigation into the handling of a 17-year-old lamont davis. authorities want to know how he cut off his ankle bracelet before shooting a 5-year-old girl. >> for the first time today, the state's secretary of juvenile services responded to questions about lamont davis, accused of shooting a little girl while

under gps monitoring. >> from the moment of this tragedy through right now -- >> in an interview today, the secretary says his agency's handling of the 17-year old is under internal investigation. davis as been arrested 13 times since the age of 10, but was allowed to go back to his home despite a robbery case at the end of may. >> we have been analyzing every aspect of the investigation relative to our levels of supervision. >> on june 19, lamont davis was put on a gps monitoring. two weeks later, five-year old raven wyatt were shot in the head and critically wounded. >> are you comfortable that this individual was in the community? >> we are reviewing that. i am not going to comment on that right now. any comment that i would make about that right now would be

concerned that some juvenile offenders have figured out ways to circumvent the gps system. it is being used to monitor some 200 juvenile offenders. >> a 25-year-old has pleaded guilty to pimping three teenage girls on the internet and on the street. he admitted to recruiting minors. police arrested him in may after he posted an internet ad. he will be sentenced in october. >> u.s. news and world report unveiled its list of best hospitals. johns hopkins tops the list again. other maryland hospitals that made the top 50 include the university of maryland medical center.
