>> customized bike parts have been disappearing from one person's yard for months now. he found three neighborhood kids doing that. he dialed 911 and the police are brought on the same and arrested them and took them downtown. this 7 year-old boy has not been allowed outside since he got into trouble with two france last saturday. the boys stole parts of from bites in the neighborhood. the owner chased him home and called police. he confessed and led police to his friend. the boys knew they were in trouble, but were unprepared for what came next. >> they put handcuffs on aus. >> the paddy wagon came.

they went down to juvenile detention. >> they put us in a cell. >> they were released in a couple of hours. >> they were put in a bullpen with other older children with no shoes on. >> police stand behind the arrest saying the children had to be held accountable for their actions. >> if that was your property, you would want some type of justice served. >> the boy's family think police went too far. >> this is the first time they did something wrong. i felt like they should have been talked to. it could have been resolved without my son being put in handcuffs. >> i cannot account the amount of drug dealers in this neighborhood where nothing is being done about it. but a seven year-old was put in handcuffs. >> the arrest made a distinct impression on the boys. >> what message did you learn from all this?

racial slur. >> he threw 50 pennies at my face. i went back to the restaurant. i asked to speak with the manager. i was angry. i was humiliated. >> he says he told the manager he wanted the waiter fired. the restaurant owner says he is troubled by the allegation. he denies that it happened. he has sworn statements from the winter and other staff who worked at night. according to the waiter, he said, i do not want you to leave without your change it then dropped it in his hand. the manager says the man did comeback but never mentioned anything about a racial slur. the conversation lasted about five minutes. >> it is about fairness, justice, and equality. if it happened to a white person, i would be just as concerned about that. >> the minister says he did not call police about the incident.

the mechanism that has been generating the ran activity and a little disturbances running along that stalled out front is what is going to keep our rain chances alive. any rain in our area will be associated with this particular whether feature. by the end of the week, the weather system out west and a cold front coming in will increase our rain chances. we have a couple of shots at rain here. overnight tonight, just a few showers. cloudy skies, 64 degrees-68 degrees. around 80 degrees for the high tomorrow. there will be some sunbreaks tomorrow. a shower and maybe some thunder for tomorrow. it will occur in the afternoon if it occurs at all. most of the day, it will not be raining. we look at our futurecast and we see these spotty rain chances around the area tonight and tomorrow. in the morning, some clouds in the area.

they may break up in the afternoon. that may generate a few scattered thunderstorms. as we go into wednesday, a few scattered showers storms in the area. as we going to thursday, the cold front comes in. we will have a rain chance. the chant is there each day for tomorrow, wednesday, thursday, and friday. take a break on saturday. on sunday and more -- sunday and monday, the rain in this comeback. comfortable temperatures and some much-needed rain, that is what the forecast is all about. >> people try to save a mother and her children from a burning vehicle. that is next. that is next.
