>> i went for a run yesterday. it was more humid. it was not hot. and lots of people were out around the harbor which is typical. we will see kind of the same day. a great day for sure. limited amount of sun. the moisture is mainly around ocean city this morning. no showers in the heart of maryland. we could use some. there is a chance of that today. temperatures are in the 70's mostly across the board. we may not reach 80 degrees. scattered showers and storms in the afternoon today. drive careful if you encounter them. >> we are not dealing with that at the moment. we have a pretty smooth the ride right now. drive times are up to speed

with the latest. >> the president what the health-care system fixed now. republicans are critical and some democrats are as well. as criticism amounts against plans to overhaul the nation's $2.40 trillion health care system -- >> we do not allow one man to roll the dice with our nation in america. >> president obama is fighting back. >> if we do nothing, more americans will spend most of their money for less health care. >> some are saying that it will force millions to drop their current coverage with this plan. conservative democrats are on the attack after budget analysis shows the plan will increase the national debt and not provide the savings the white house predicts. >> we have a health-care system that is breaking america's families and businesses and the economy. we cannot afford a delay.

>> a committee is debating the bill. three key committees in the house and senate did pass reform bills last week. there are two to go. wbal tv 11 news. >> there is a new poll of about the president's health care. what are the numbers? >> it is not what he is hoping. enthusiasm for support is changing. in april 57% of the public approved. now only 44% approved. the numbers are moving in the wrong direction for the president. >> thank you. our other big story this morning, three young children handcuffed and put behind bars

after allegedly stealing some bike parts. the mother of one of the children says the children needed to be reprimanded, but the police went too far. >> good morning. the boys are ages 7, 8, and 11. the property owner claims he caught all three boys in the act of stealing some of his bike parts. he called 911, and all three boys were in handcuffs and in the back of a police car. this boy has not been allowed out south of the house says it got into trouble with some of his friends last friday. it all started when he decided to take a bike from a neighbor. he confessed and led police to his friends. the boys knew they were in trouble, but they were unprepared for what came next.

they are gentle and mysterious and hardly ever seen in maryland. as full grown manatee appeared out of the blue this weekend. he was spotted on the banks of the river. >> it was just another saturday afternoon here at the harbor marina went around to look what 30, a most unexpected visitor appeared. >> i could not believe it. >> he was many at people of here saturday. >> it was shocking to see such a big animal among the bulls like that. >> amenity came and stayed in the marina for more than what -- the manatee came and stayed in the marina for more than one hour. >> he was slow moving. he was having a good time. >> after calling everybody he could think of, they called the

aquarium for scientists to confirm what the picture showed. >> it is rare to see a manatee this far north in the bay. occasionally, they do see them come up this far even as far as new york harbor. >> amenity -- a manatee was the first documented manatee of the chesapeake bay several years ago. he had to be captured and airlifted to florida and released back into the waters there. that brings us back to the manatee here on saturday. >> he was white fish-tan in color. -- whitish-tan in color. >> he was first spotted as an independent path in miami. -- dependent calf in miami.
