from injuries suffered battling a fire in east baltimore. it broke out at st. matthews street. the residents escaped unharmed. we are told that because of the fire was electrical. a 16-year-old accused of skipping a juvenile detention center is charged as an adult for his role and the crime. he and others are accused of attacking a guard in frederick county before escaping back in may. another juvenile offender, who turned 18 in two weeks before the incident, is also charged. disturbing allegations against the prince george's county man, 22-year-old, accused of showing a 5-year-old boy and 10-year-old girl pornography agreed she is also accused of telling the boy to stand nude in

there is a little silver lining. cloud cover mainly to our north. still a mostly cloudy start to the day. we will see some cloud cover this afternoon as well. 75 downtown, 76 at the airport. we are looking at mid-70's along the eastern shore. cooler than normal. that is the other with a story, that we have been so dry and cool for the month of july. we should be up to 88 degrees today, but we will come in probably about 79 or 80 at best. showers and storms extends for most of the state, but right now, we are high and dry throughout. the best chances later this afternoon when the upper level gets through here. waves on the chesapeake only about one to two feet. temperatures comparable to the air temperatures, in the upper seventies. 104 is the record high from july 21, 1930. on the state in 1966, 53 was the record low both of those records hold for at least another year.

typical overnight tonight. at the low 60s. lowest temperatures in the northern and outlying suburbs. what we have in place many today is this coastal storm, but it is quickly moving out of our area. a previous high of four will be taking over. we will be dealing with this upper level low over the great lakes. the contrast between the two will bring in a southwesterly flow, breathing in moisture from the gulf of mexico. we will have a much more tropical field to things tomorrow. it will be much more she met, warmer as well. we will be into the mid-80s, just the slightest chance for a possible thunderstorm. mid-80's still and very humid. friday, they thunderstorms. saturday is the hottest day of the week. >> carrie engel from valley view farms is here to answer your plant and gardening questions.
