[captioning made possible by constellation energy group] captioned by the national captioning institute --www.ncicap.org-- critics tonight we begin when and as our investigation. baltimore city police say they shot a template marguerite suspect shot in the act. the story takes a strange twist from there. >> strange indeed. the suspect is said to have lunged at police officers with a large screwdriver. police officers then shot him and he died, or at least the paramedics thought. police say was just after 4:30 a.m. saturday morning when officers noticed an alarm at shawn's food market. a police spokesperson said officers investigated the location and found an alleged burglary in progress. >> on entering the convenience store, the suspect was wearing a mask. he lunged at police with a knife like of it.

police officers fired one defensive shot, striking the suspect in the head. >> the paramedics performed an assessment and interpreted that this patient was expired and pronounced on the scene. >> the unit left the scene and returned to service. the fire department said 30 or 40 minutes later a unit, believed to be the same unit earlier from a call had to come back. what's after being observed moving or taking a breath or something, we are not exactly sure, the return to the location, treated victim, and took him to a nearby hospital. >> the suspect is said to be in critical condition. there is an investigation under way. there are a lot of details we need to gather to be able to elaborate beyond this point. >> the officer involved in the shooting is said to be 34 years

old, a veteran of the force. this is the first police involved shooting. we do not know anything about the medical personnel involved. >> of baltimore city homicide detectives are trying to piece together a shooting in the 2100 block of edmonds an avenue. police got a call about a man shot segment top -- several times in the back. he was rushed to the hospital. there is no word on his condition. police said the gunman remains at large. their credit and cameras for helping capture a 17-year-old murder suspect. the camera codified between two groups of boys. authorities said the 17-year-old suspect then took out a knife, stabbed the victim in his chest. police say that is when he took off. fortunately, track his every move and thomas later he was arrested. he is charged as an adult with

first-degree murder, assault, and various weapons charges. a teenager who admitted in taking part in firebombing a home will spend the rest of the summer in juvenile detention. the anne arundel juvenile court ordered him to be held. he will be forced to pay $1,800 in restitution. authorities say he admitted participating in firebombing a home back in june. fortunately, no one was hurt. authorities say it happen in retaliation for the killing of 14-year-old christopher jones. cracks without a break in the storm activity. a few clouds arrive in late afternoon. now we are looking at a few thunderstorms that have already moved through. another batch is moving through northern portions of virginia. we may still see a few scattered rain showers, maybe some thunder later tonight as it goes to

portions of baltimore. you can see if there a few cancells, but most of the rain we are looking for tomorrow is out over ohio. the rest of tonight, some passing clouds and scattered showers still possible. we talked about severe weather yesterday. we got a break today. in more severe weather may be on the way for tomorrow. i will have all those details coming up in the full forecast in just a bit. >> the severe weather left behind a long trail of destruction and the national weather service confirmed that a tornado did touch down in frederick and carroll counties. it was the lowest classification for a tornado. it sustained winds of up to 80 m.p.h. and was 100 yards wide and a mile long. it left a path that snapped trees and leptons without roofs. three homes were contemn reject contaminated.

warmer than average tonight because of the cloud cover and we are expecting. 85 degrees is our high at the inner harbor. for tonight, some passing clouds with a scattered showers. here comes the rain, developing for out the day on sunday. we expect the line to continue to push its way through. as we get into late sunday night, we see a little clearing. by monday, it will be mainly dry, but another set up for a cold front behind it leaves more rain for wednesday. sunday, the best time frame anywhere from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. we are looking further along the coastline corps a few lingering showers after 5:00. a slight risk of seeing scattered severe thunderstorms as we go further east of i-95.
