camp. we were overjoyed when number 85 returned with his teammates. it is the return of derrick mason. >> it is like he never missed a beat. is 2.5-week retirement proved to be more than a soul-searching experiment. even in a downpour, mason found joy in reuniting with his team. he enjoyed the attention to detail and working with others. if that were not the case, he could have waited another couple of weeks before returning. he missed a game. he was working out some undisclosed personal family matters. it was disclosed it had nothing to do with a contract polloi. >> when i decide or if i decide to come back, it is because my heart is in it -- with a contract employee -- ploy. i do not want it to be that there was a carrot hanging over

another heavier thunderstorms swept through baltimore county and the city, and it really build up strength by the time it got into cecil county, and in the 10:00 or 11:00 hour, a tornado warning was issued for cecil county. a rotation was spotted in the clouds as this storm was moving through cecil county. they got plenty of rain in excess of two inches. let's take a look. all that is left of the storm is a rain shower activity out of the ocean and a cluster of thunderstorms out on the eastern shore, just east of the day, while south of baltimore. we are getting more sunshine -- just east of the bay. we will talk about the weekend forecast coming up in just a few minutes. >> if -- the week ahead forecast . >> there was a food market. police say they were investigating a burglary when

they were confronted by a man wearing a mask and brandishing a screwdriver. the man were shot and pronounced dead. about 30 minutes later, things ticket drastic change. >> after being observed moving -- things took a drastic change. >> after being observed moving, they returned to that location, treated the victim, and took them to the hospital. >> the medics who were at the scene are now facing an internal investigation. meanwhile, investigators are looking at a shooting in west baltimore. they got a call about a man shot several times in the back in the 2100 block of edmonson avenue. authorities say the man walked into a tire shop. he is currently recovering at shock trauma. just before 11:00 this morning, and then a shot in cherry hill. he was taken to shock trauma --

a man was shot in cherry hill. a double shooting this afternoon in northwest baltimore. shots were fired this afternoon, and police found an 18-year-old and a 47-year-old but suffering from gunshot wounds. the 18-year-old was pronounced dead, the other man expected to survive -- and a 47-year-old both suffering from gunshot wounds. if you know anything about this case, you are urged to call baltimore city police. and you may want to think twice before hitting the gas through its corzine in baltimore county. they are prepared to install speed cameras and are waiting simply for the council to approve it tomorrow night. melissa carlson joins us with the details on this. melissa? >> baltimore county officials are already answered questions about installing speed cameras at some 12 to 15 school zones,

and that could happen as early as october. the county council will consider a bill authorizing the use of speed cameras. by law, they can on the used at school zones, and they will look at crash data, speed data, and citizen complaints. in all, there are about 250 in schools that are looking at in the county. cowhile an independent contractor runs the cameras and takes care of the costs, the police department also gets a cut. >> and this has been shown in other jurisdictions, locally and montgomery county, where in a six-month period of time, which is locally in montgomery county, -- locally in montgomery county, there was a reduction. >> there'll be 30 days of mourning before you actually get a ticket. of course, this is already quite to be decided tomorrow at the

>> a u.s. navy pilot shot down 18 years ago was finally confirmed dead. he was found last month in the iraqi desert. our 11 news reporter has the details. >> his plane were shot down january 17, 1991, in iraq, the very first night of the gulf war. >> there has been a single american aircraft lost. >> for nearly 18 years, his family and others did not know what happened to him, but on sunday came closure.

his remains have finally been found in the iraqi desert near the wreckage of his plane, thanks to an iraqi offiresident who led officials to his body. the pentagon changed his status to "missing in action," and then it "missing captured" after they discovered what looked like initials scratched into the wall of an iraqi prison, but now, it looks like he died in the crash and that iraqi bedouins' discovered him and gave him a burial plot not far from the wreckage. -- the iraqi bedouins discovered him. now, his rank as captain, and his children are college age. in his hometown in jacksonville, fla., reaction is bittersweet. >> i am just glad this is over for them and that they will be able to put it to rest.

town, less than one-quarter inch, where the rain was really heavy out in cecil county, parts of northern delaware, and even parts to the south of us, and there were some flood watches out earlier. 78 in ocean city. annapolis, 79. 82 in frederick and westminster. where the sunshine has broken through, temperatures have popped just a little bit. it is still cloudy and in the 70's. these are the dew point temperatures. this is a tropical air mass. the dew point temperatures have dropped off a bit here in the baltimore area, where we are getting some sunshine, but back in cumberland, the dew point temperatures are about to drop into the 50's. here is the satellite picture, the heavy thunderstorms, the cluster showers still on the eastern shore, and the bricks of the clouds are in western maryland, and here is the lay of the land -- and the breaks of

the clouds. we are still in the tropical air mass. the cool air will come in and stall, but we really do not get into less humid air, at least for the next few days. the flood watches are all up in pennsylvania now for the heavier rains, and that is dissipating and a threat to us in that regard. partly cloudy skies, an isolated thundershower possible. 67 to 71 the overnight low. still humid tomorrow. an isolated thundershower will not be out of the question, but that is not something right out there in the forecast. the next seven days, 91, an isolated thundershower on tuesday, and a better chance for scattered thunderstorm activity on wednesday. the humidity drops after the first three days of the week, and then some scattered thunderstorms on friday and saturday. >> what happens today? >> that has got to be a good thing, right? -- what happened
